Kreayshawn Pushes Her Album Back

Pop rapper Kreayshawn has delayed the release of her upcoming debut album Somethin 'Bout Kreay. The project is slated to be released September 18, and Kreay did unveil the official album cover artwork this week. She discussed the imagery in a recent interview.
"I wanted an album cover that would really help to represent me and who I am," notes Kreayshawn. "Something that, when people first see it, they'll say, 'Only Kreayshawn could think of a cover like that.'"
Kreayshawn burst onto the national stage via the YouTube hit "Gucci, Gucci" in early 2011 and has gained a reputation for outspokenness and visual arts wizardry.

Mistah F.A.B. Is Mentoring Kreayshawn

Mistah F.A.B. discussed his decision to support the controversial Kreayshawn and her even-more controversial cohort V-Nasty. F.A.B. was heavily criticized last year for standing behind V-Nasty after she came under fire for using the N-word in her freestyles, and he spoke on his decision to mentor the White Girl Mob members and fellow Oakland natives.
"Knowing the ideology, demographic and cultural upbringing [of Oakland], I realized that the rest of the world wouldn't understand them doing what it is that they do," he explained. "[I chose to mentor them] when everybody else backed down because it would be too controversial, too sketchy and too edgy for their promising careers. A lot of the people had the ability to be a spokesman and say ‘Yo, this is just what goes on in our area.’ But everybody else backed down and tried to leave them on the edge, I felt like that wasn’t right. I’ve been a person who has been misunderstood, I’ve been a person who has been on the pilgrimage of controversy…my whole career has been that. To be misunderstood is a touchy feeling. You look at these young girls and you see that there’s no one there to mentor them or allow them to [represent what goes on in their city]. I’m not going to leave them out there to dry out like that."

Kreayshawn Received Death Threats

Rapper Kreayshawn addressed the controversy over some phony tweets that were posted on her Twitter account. The tweets included insensitive remarks about slavery and Black people and she says she was shocked to see them.
"I was asleep when all this started unfolding, you know how Twitter has the trending topics...Well this one I guess was fake retweets of me," Kreay explained. "And then everyone started doing it. Like, "Lets put RT in front of Kreayshawn's name" and saying these horrible things, and finally my fans and a few of my friends started hitting me like "your page's been hacked." I went on Twitter and saw that there wasn't anything on my timeline that I didn't tweet. But then I checked my @replies and I saw everything."
She says her mother has had to endure poor treatment since the postings.
"I am tough. I've had pimps pull my arm. I'm hard, but deep down I'm a real person. And when people are tweeting things at me, it hurts. Part of it is being imaged as 'the white rapper girl'. I feel like people just don't like that. There's some sort of novelty about it, like it's not real. But it is. People tweet my mom saying all sorts of crazy things, like they want to kill her. And I think people thought it was funny. But it's not. The guy who started it has over 10,000 followers. But people with 500 followers are going to think it's real. What if someone slaps me? ... The part that worries me is people who are going to think it's real after the fact. My mom is kind of an overreacter. I've seen this kind of stuff before. So I'm not that worried."

Kreayshawn Addresses Fake Tweets

Kreayshawn has dismissed some fake tweets that were posted from her Twitter account last night. The tweets referenced Kreay as being better than any black femcees in hip hop, but were soon proven to be phony postings from a bored fan.
She says she never posted any of the controversial tweets.
"I didn't tweet that statement, it's a fake RT, which happens to me all the time but they don't usually get taken seriously or get picked up like this last one," she said. "I can't control the hateful things that people do to me. There's always a bunch of fake RT's out there so don't assume that I actually said the things you see on your TL."

Kreayshawn On Her Sexuality

Kreayshawn addressed long-running questions about her sexuality in a recent interview. The Oakland pop-rap star has said previously that she doesn't really worry about gender and that she has been in same-sex relationships in the past, and reiterated that stance.
"I'm, like, a person who likes love. And I can find love in any type of person," Kreay says. "I've dated girls and I've liked girls. But they're usually straight girls, so it never works out. I mean, I'm not that gay, so I don't have the energy to convince someone else to be gay, you know?"

Kreayshawn On "Murder" Video:

Rappers 2 Chainz and Kreayshawn have kept mum about the oddball images that surfaced online a few weeks ago from their "Murder" video set, but Kreay spilled a few details about the upcoming vid in an interview from the set that hit the web recently. Whether or not this is the real plot of the vid is yet to be seen.
"Hey everyone, it's Kreayshawn and I'm here, on set, video set might I add and it's with me and 2 Chainz," Kreay said in the footage. "It's going to be murderous. I'll tell you what. We're doing all kinds of crazy things like eating people, killing people. ... I decided to cook for 2 Chainz. I got a little bit of liver here for him. We're eating some rare meat just like we like it. Rare. No fork. Just dive in."

Kreayshawn Vs. Lil B?

Kreayshawn apparently had a beef with Lil B. Old footage has surfaced featuring the Oakland rapper lashing out at Lil B for a perceived diss.
"I don't feel like I've been treated nicely," Kreay says in the video. "I've been shot down, I've been ignored, I've even had people I've done free music videos for tell other people not to work with me. You know, I'm at the club and I'm filming at the club and a guy walks up to me and goes, 'Oh, you know woo-woo-woo?' I could say his name 'cause I don't give a f*ck -- he's like, 'He's been running around telling people not to work with you.' ... I don't talk sh*t about anybody. So when I hear sh*t like this, this sh*t just makes me really mad ... and for Lil B to just ignore me in my face? Come on, I did your face Based music videos. I really supported him -- I feel like I've gone out of my way to help people and trying to get all my sisters on, and just sh*t like that. I feel like I've been working harder for other people than for myself and I feel like it shouldn't be like that."

Kreayshawn Was A Janitor?

Oakland pop rapper Kreayshawn discussed some of her past and the long road she took to stardom in a recent interview. She says that she spent many years trying to find out what she wanted to do with her life and made several poor decisions.
"I went through so many hard, crazy, random things, even in my childhood," says Kreayshawn. "That for a second I thought 'What is my life going to be?' It was insane -- I could've wound up dead."
She subsequently joined Job Corps.
"I really think it's a good place to go," Kreayshawn says. "Right before I went, I was living at (Mob partner) V. Nasty's house, and I just didn't really see myself doing much of anything. Then I heard of Job Corps, I went, and it helped me get my life on track. And if you graduate, they even help you get an apartment."
"So I learned how to power-wash cement, which was actually kind of scary -- the water is so hot, we'd have to wear these big overall outfits," she says. "I also know how to paint curbs and fire hydrants -- it was actually some pretty interesting stuff."

Kreayshawn Discusses Nude Pics

YouTube sensation Kreayshawn spoke about the underage nude images of her that hit Twitter months ago. The Oakland native said that the experience made her more cautious about sharing information online, and she also gave an update on the individual who leaked the images.
"Yeah, definitely [it made me feel more vulnerable," she said in an interview with www.dailydot.com. "Don't send your emails and phone numbers on Twitter and stuff like that. You gotta be more secretive. But, f**k, what the f**k are you gonna do?"
"But did you know - did you know the guy who did that to me - did you know how many years he's facing in jail?" added Kreayshawn. "A hundred-and-twenty motherf**king years,"

Kreayshawn Lashes Out?

A day after Gangsta Boo dismissed Kreayshawn as a 'gimmick' and a 'wigger,' Kreay took to Twitter and launched some verbal darts of her own. Without naming names, the Oakland-raised pop rapper had some harsh words for someone.
It seems pretty obvious what sparked the tirade.
"Hahahah lonely hungry b*tch don't deserve a mention. my local news caster got more followers then on you. Go play with ya kids hoe!," she tweeted October 26th. "Hope them shirts you selling at least paying your rent! Happy I can contribute ;)"

Gangsta Boo Disses Kreayshawn

Memphis rapper Gangsta Boo isn't feeling Oakland pop rap star Kreayshawn. The former Three-Six-Mafia associate shared her criticisms of Kreayshawn in a recent interview, labeling the "Gucci Gucci" star a 'wigger' and a 'gimmick.'
“I don’t listen to Kreayshawn. I’m really not feeling her,” she said. “I think she’s a wigger. I think she looks like she came out the movie BAPS. You familiar with that movie? Like the whole ghetto girl thing, I don’t know if that’s how white girls do it in Oakland.”
“I really don't know, I got to meet her personally to feel her out," Boo continued. "To understand like, ‘OK, like this is really this girl, like she ain’t a wigger, she just her. She likes ghetto looks, she’s not trying to be a black girl. That’s just her.’ So until I meet her I have a little bitter taste in my mouth to her. […] To me its an act and it’s a gimmick but its not a funny one.”

Kreayshawn On Her First Time

In an interview with Nardwuar, pop rap sensation Kreayshawn reveals some intimate details about her first sexual experience. The Oakland native says that the soundtrack to her first time was providing by none other than a certain R&B quartet that used to be signed to Bad Boy Entertainment.
“I did lose my virginity to a 112 song, ‘We Can Do It Anywhere’,” Kreayshawn says. “So I have a very strong connection with these guys, and I think they made great baby-making music. And we need more positive babies being made.”
They haven't been relevant in almost a decade, so the fellas probably appreciate the shout-out, Kreay.

Kreayshawn Has Big Plans

Kreayshawn is determined to not be defined by one kinda-silly web hit. The pint-size pop rap star revealed in an interview with the BBC that her debut album is almost done, but career-wise, she's just getting started.
"It's going to be done by the end of the year, there will be a whole bunch of crazy sounds. I'm a queen of mixing up genres," she says. "I don't want to be known just for Gucci Gucci. I want to establish myself as an artist. Save any collaborations with other artists for the mixtape."
"I want to branch off into clothing, more music videos, lots of creative thinking," Kreayshawn says. "I want to do a book, a movie about my life."

Kreayshawn Explains Kreayshawn

Kreayshawn gave Carson Daly the low-down on exactly who she is during a recent appearance on his show. The Oakland upstart emphasized her array of 'talents.'
For everyone who didn't know.
"I'm a rapper, I'm a graphic designer, director, model, DJ and a professional b*tch snatcher," Kreayshawn said. "There's a lot of people that want to push you down. One, for being a female and one for being white. It's hard but I don't see it like that. In Oakland, that's how you grew up...The best about everything that's going on is I have my head on my shoulders, I know what I want, I know my vision and it's not like I signed this record deal blindly -- whatever happens, happens. I know that I'm a good person and that I'm smart and funny. If the music thing doesn't work out, I'm talented at a million other things."

Kreayshawn Kills Rick Ross Beef?

Pop-rap star Kreayshawn says that her war of words with Miami rapper Rick Ross is over. The two have been going back and forth since Kreayshawn dissed Ross in a freestyle. Their entourages were reportedly involved in an altercation at the MTV Video Music Awards; but Kreayshawn everything's fine now.
“No, I bought DJ Khaled a couple steaks and we worked everything out,” Kreayshawn said. “As far as that, nothing’s popping off. It’s just a little rough patch at the VMAs, but we got all over it. It’s all over now.”
“I feel like a comedienne at times, because I’m a funny down to earth person,” she explained. “So some things that I do and say get read wrong because I’m not some label chick that randomly made it.”

"Yeah I don't know, man. It's just gang violence," Kreayshawn told Billboard.com "All that gang stuff I'm not a part of that."
Kreayshawn added that, "LMFAO came and they shot this party popper in the air and I thought Rick Ross shot me in the back."

"My twitter got hacked today by some anti-hollywood extremists," she posted on her blog. "They sent out wack a** tweets and promoted their odd message of anti-jew stuff and deleted my twitter..."
