Azealia Banks Isn't Afraid

Azealia Banks is sitting on the cusp of superstardom, and the outspoken NYC native isn't afraid of the moment at all. In an interview with PAPER magazine, Banks said that an artist has to understand what they're getting into or don't bother with pursuing a music career.
"The music industry is like a machine," she says. "It's always going, and this new generation of artists -- me, A$AP Rocky, Rita Ora -- we're the fuel that's keeping it going. And once you get in that machine you've gotta run with it. There's a crazy inertia that's been going for years and years and years, and it's not gonna stop for you, so you've gotta keep f**king working. The minute you stop working, that's when you get stuck in the gears. And that's when it grinds you up and spits you out."
"That's what you give up when you sign that contract," Banks added. "This hustle and bustle becomes your normal-person sh*t."

Rob Kardashian Loves Rita Ora

Roc Nation starlet Rita Ora and reality show star Rob Kardashian haven't exactly been the most public of young couples--even though fans and media have known that the two were dating for months. Nonetheless, Rob decided to tweet a little public display of affection and support to Rita.
Kardashian posted pics from the London party celebrating Rita's "R.I.P." hitting #1 and voiced his love for the sexy singer.
"You did it. I love you and you’re my wife. That’s MY baby! @RitaOra," he tweeted.
"I hate hoes," he later posted. "But I LOVE MY WOMAN! I’m so proud of You!"

Rita Ora Says She Isn't Dating Drake

Roc Nation's sexy new starlet Rita Ora says that she has no relationship with superstar rapper Drake other than friendship and the two have grown in their friendship as they have become collaborators. Rumors began flying in late April that Drizzy was getting romantic with the Kosovo-born singer.
Drake wrote Rita's track "R.I.P."
"We're really good friends actually," Rita offered--giving the always-appropriately generic celebrity response to dating rumors.
"He has my back so it's really nice to know I have a guy that's a good friend like that," she added.

Rita Ora Praises Jay-Z's Guidance

Rita Ora is one of Roc Nation's most talked-about up-and-coming artists, and the singer has been hard at work prepping her debut album for Jay-Z's imprint. Ora spoke at-length about what it's been like for her coming under the tutelage of one of the industry's biggest and most respected names.
"When I signed to Roc Nation, I was 18. At 18, I was basically singing anything [and] talking about something that I didn't really know," Ora says. "When we recorded a few songs... the good thing about having a musician who is also your boss, is [having him] say, 'Are you happy with it?'
"I was like, 'I don't know.' He taught me about patience and they [Roc Nation] taught me how to find myself," she continued. "I came back one day, and I swear, and I was like, 'You know what? We need to do something else. And we flipped it."

Drake Hooking Up With Rita Ora?

Drake has been linked to his fair share of sexy starlets, but the rumors are now flying regarding the Young Money star and one of music's most talked-about newcomers. Drizzy booked Roc Nation singer Rita Ora as the opening act for his upcoming UK tour, and, of course, the rumors have started spreading that the two are romantically involved.
They were reportedly spotted kissing backstage at a recent gig.
"Ora and Drake have been good friends for a while now but things seemed more serious this week. They were all over each other backstage at the gig on Monday and weren`t trying to hide it," an unnamed source said.

Rita Ora Breaks Down Her Look

Rita Ora is fast becoming one of the most talked-about newcomers in music. The sexy Roc Nation starlet's distinctive style has gotten just about as much attention as her music; with some young girls already beginning to rock Ora-esque looks.
Ora herself explained who and what influences her look--and a big part of it comes from one of the 90s/2000s most iconic female artists.
"Classic Gwen Stefani has a big influence," Ora says of her look. "Then mixed with a dash of street."
She also revealed that she's flattered by girls aping her style.
"Yes, I’ve actually noticed loads of girls rocking the Rita Ora look and I think it’s really sweet," she says.

Rita Ora Addresses Rihanna Comparisons

Roc Nation newcomer Rita Ora has often been compared to another sexy Roc-affiliated star who's name starts with an 'R.' Ora discussed the ongoing comparisons to megastar Rihanna in a recent interview with Sunday Times and revealed that she doesn't take offense to it at all.
"I take it as such a compliment because we’re from the same team and family so it’s an obvious comparison but it’s a cool one," Ora said. "She’s so cool and she’s the best at what she does. It’s a compliment more than anything."
"I think is that I’m very honest with my music," she added. "I don’t really hide behind my lyrics. I don’t really sing something that I don’t believe in or that is not going to happen or that I want to happen, so it’s all things that I really believe in. There are no boundaries to my music; if I want to a reggae song, I’ll do a reggae song tomorrow. I feel like I want to embrace music to its fullest potential and want everyone to have fun with it and realize you can escape for three minutes." Rob never physically assaulted the man, but was handcuffed by the police, though he was later released since no altercation had taken place.

Rita Ora Song Was Meant For Rihanna?

Rita Ora dropped her first official single this week, "R.I.P" after sitting on the shelf at the Roc for a little over two years. But some fans are speculating if the track may plant the seed of friction amongst Roc Nation starlets; considering it was originally written for another leggy singer affiliated with Jay-Z's camp.
The song "R.I.P." was allegedly originally supposed to go Rihanna. Now, speculation is running rampant as to how the tune wound up in Ora's lap.
It was rumored that Roc Nation head Jay-Z gave the song to Ora after he disapproved of Rih-Rih's recent duets with her notorious ex-boyfriend, Chris Brown.

Jay-Z Introduces Rita Ora

Roc Nation head Jay-Z showed support for his label signee, British singer Rita Ora, by taking her around New York and 'introducing' her to the fans. The duo hit NYC radio station Z100 to premiere Ora's "Party & Bullsh*t" single.
"I have Miss Rita Ora," Jay said on the air. "[laughs] This is all very un-spontaneous for us. We just came to see, you know, some great friends over here and play some music and you know, they liked what they heard and said, 'Let's just throw it on the air,' which is great. ... I love that. That's what radio is all about. It's about a feeling, an emotion. It's not about scheduling and planning. Let's do it right now."
"Hi, what's up -- I'm from London but I love America so I'm usually here," Ora added. "I'm so excited."
She later reiterated her enthusiasm via Twitter. "OH MY god just played my first official single on z100 in New york city with jay!" she tweeted. "Here it goes!! Go Jay Z so nervous but so excited! #ROC4EVA http://twitpic.com/8nsuic "
