Tyga Gets Face Tattoo?

Tyga got an 'interesting' face tattoo.
That's right, in the latest entry in the "Ridiculous Rapper Face Tattoos" trend, Tyga showed off his new facial ink in a web pic. The tribal artwork looks exactly like the signature face art sported by boxing legend Mike Tyson for the last several years.
"F*ck it #YoLo," tweeted Tyga.
There has been a lot of debate among Tyga's Twitter followers and fans who seemed to be reluctant to believe the ink was real. These days, with rappers sporting real and fake tats just to get a buzz on social media, you never can tell.

Tyga Addresses Shooting Incident

Tyga has made his first 'official' statements regarding the shooting that took place after his concert in Omaha, Nebraska earlier this week. The Young Money rapper talked to Power 106 about the unfortunate incident, which ended with his artist Honey Cocaine being shot in her arm.
“I’m a chill person, but a person wants to be disrespectful… I’m trying to put on a great show for people who pay money to see me. Somebody threw a bottle and nobody want to say who threw the bottle. It’s childish stuff,” he said. “I never really lose my cool, I’m chill most of the time. I never be trying to start drama or something like that. But when you get disrespected as a man, there’s certain stuff that won’t allow.”
“I’m not paranoid about this. You don’t understand… This doesn’t happen, these aren’t fans. This situation escalated because I wanted to do the show,” he explained. “I was dealing with the same people from the beginning of the day, before the show even started. They wanted to cancel the show. There was a bunch of drama going on already.”
“Actually, there were some local opening acts and I told them they couldn’t perform," continued Tyga. "It’s a tour, and I don’t want no opening act performances. That’s what y’all saw on YouTube and stuff. Stuff was going on all day, but I could have left Omaha and said, I don’t care about y’all, I’m going to leave.”

Tyga's Album Back In Retail Stores

Weeks after his album, Careless World: The Rise of the Last Kingwas pulled from retail outlets due to an uncleared sample, Tyga's latest project has been returned to shelves in popular chain stores like Best Buy and Target. The stores are stocking a version of the album without the uncleared sample--which was an audio clip of the late Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
The clip had not been approved by King's estate.
"Target can confirm that we've removed the original version of Tyga's new album, Careless World, from all Target stores and Target.com," said Target rep Courtney Foster in a statement sent to XXLMag. "We have ordered the new version of his album and are currently stocking this new version in our stores nationwide and on Target.com."

Tyga Vs. Perez Hilton

Young Money rapper Tyga lashed out at MediaTakeOut this weekend after it was insinuated by the gossip site that he and singer Chris Brown were 'more than friends,' which led to Brown's angry exchange with a female fan two weeks ago. The incident led to the now-infamous iPhone 'stealing' that has Brown in the middle of controversy.
But Tyga responded with a tweet that read: "who runs mediatakeout. F****ts, trannys, or both??? I'll wait.."
The tweet prompted an angry response from openly gay celebrity blogger Perez Hilton. "@Tyga Because f*ggots and trannys are bad people that spread lies? That's what it sounds like you're saying. And that's very disappointing!," he tweeted.
Tyga then deleted the comments and posted a reply to Hilton.
"@PerezHilton have nothing against gays..Power to what u do.But spreading false negativity is a weak emotion to me.," he tweeted.

Tyga's Debut Album Projections

Young Money rapper Tyga could still have a respectable debut sales week, despite the fact that his debut album, Careless World: Rise of the Last King, was recalled from stores due to an uncleared Martin Luther King, Jr. sample. The high expectations for Careless World has fueled the album's digital sales despite the snag--which will predominantly affect traditional retail.
Currently, the album is projected to sell between 70,000 and 80,000 units, completely in digital sales.
Careless World experienced numerous delays over the past several months. The physical album is expected to be re-shipped to stores within two weeks. .

Tyga Discusses Album Delay

Tyga explained to DJ Greg Street exactly what happened to his studio debut Careless World: Rise of the Last King. The album had been suddenly recalled over an uncleared sample of Martin Luther King, Jr. and he shared what led to the problem.
"Basically, [the stores and label] recalled them," he explained. "I'm looking on my Twitter and fans are hitting me up all day like, posting pictures of [the album] and they have some in stores, but then they have a piece of paper next to them saying 'Recalled - can't sell.' I'm like, 'Yo, this is crazy.' My fans are going crazy, like, 'I have it in my hand, I'm thinking about just stealing it, but I wanna buy it though,' and I'm like, 'Nah, just go back tomorrow,' so they're going to get a lot shipped today [Monday February 20], and it'll be in stores tomorrow."

Tyga Album Pulled Over Sample

Tyga's upcoming album Careless World: Rise of the Last King has experienced numerous delays, and it looks like there will be yet another hurdle for the rapper to jump before the project hits stores. Most recently slated for a February 21st release date, Tyga's album could be shelved again due to an uncleared sample.
Careless World: Rise of the Last King has been recalled from numerous retailers reportedly due to an uncleared snippet of a recording of Martin Luther King, Jr. The sample has not been approved by his estate and retailers returned several shipments.
There are reports that Cash Money will reissue a different version of the album, but Careless World... most likely will be delayed for at least two weeks.

Nas Mentoring Tyga?

Young Money rapper Tyga received some unexpected mentorship from a hip hop legend. Queensbridge lyricist Nas gave the younger rapper some career and life advice in what Tyga says was an unexpected phone call.
"Yeah man, I sent Nas a song like six months ago and I never heard back from him but out of the blue, he called me like, 'Yo, you doing your thing. I want to be a part of what you doing, I like everything you doing. Keep working hard," Tyga tells XXL. "I sent him the 'Kings and Queens' that night and he did it the next day. I was like, that sh*t is crazy. Nas always talks that sh*t. The song, man, [his bars] added the cherry on top. It's a real classic song. People are gonna like it."
"I wanna think of a dope video," he added. "The storyline of the song, the whole King and Queens [theme], it's motivational."

Tyga Clarifies Jay-Z Diss

Tyga discussed what many interpreted was a diss aimed at Jay-z back during the MTV Video Music Awards. When the Cash Money rapper and his label's head, Bryan "Birdman" Williams, were seated near Jay during the show, Tyga tweeted jokes about the situation. Jay and Cash Money have had a few words between them over the past year.
He says that he wasn't trying to diss anyone, however.
“I think what I said was Birdman’s sitting next to me and Jay-Z’s right here. Birdman’s talking about baby money. I thought it was funny,” he said. “But like nobody said nothing. I remember I left and nobody said anything to anybody. Kanye said what up to me, Big Sean said what up, Kid CuDi said what up. But nobody else said anything.”
“I’m a fan of everybody," he continued. "I just thought it was funny because you don’t see stuff like that. That doesn’t happen like that.”
