Prodigy On 2Pac Beef

Mobb Deep's Prodigy revisited the turbulent mid-90s and his feud with 2Pac. In a recent interview, the rapper discussed just how the beef began and how deep their contempt for each other ran. 2Pac dissed Mobb Deep in several rhymes and Mobb Deep fired words at Pac in their 1996 song "Drop A Gem On 'Em."

"He had his Thug Life sh*t going on," Prodigy said in an interview, "When we made our Infamous album, we had a song called 'Survival of the Fittest,' and on that song, in the beginning, one of my mans that just came home from jail doing a 15 years [bid], his name is Ferg. That's Havoc's cousin, actually. Ferg is on that album and in the beginning of the song, he says, 'The Thug Life, we still living it.' ... 2Pac, you know, is the one most known for saying that. I think that pissed 2Pac off a little bit. He took that as disrespect, like, 'Oh, these n*ggas trying to say Thug Life da-da-da-da-da. That's our sh*t.' He didn't really come out and say nothing about it though until Snoop [Dogg] and Dogg Pound made a song, ['New York, New York'] we did the ['LA, LA'] sh*t. So when they made that, we were looking at it like, 'What? These n*ggas are kicking over our buildings in the video, stomping through the city.' It was real disrespectful sh*t."

"They knew that was disrespectful. So we went back at them n*ggas. And we made our version, 'LA, LA.' ... This is when 2Pac first signed to Death Row so I guess when he seen that, he was like, 'Aight, I'm going at these n*ggas. Hard body. He went at us.' So that's what that was about. [Any ill feelings?] Oh yeah, I wanted to kill that n*gga. Yeah, h*ll yeah. I wanted to f*ck that n*gga up, jump him, cut hm, shoot him, all that sh*t. It was beef. They were sh*tting on n*ggas and we were sh*tting on them and it was going to be a problem if we ever saw each other. I might have got killed, I might have got beat up, either way it was going to go down. ... Thankfully it never went down but it's bad that he had to die through all that petty beef bullsh*t. It was corny."

Erica Mena Denies Prodigy's Claims

"Love & Hip Hop" cast member Erica Mena is denying claims by rapper Prodigy that the two had a sexual encounter in a nightclub years ago.

She issued a statement dismissing the story Prodigy relayed in his book My Infamous Life regarding Mena, himself and his Mobb Deep bandmate Havoc.

"For the record: Erica Mena has never been sexually involved with either party of the group Mobb Deep. Not now. Not ever. All claims in Prodigy's book are completely false. She has only worked with them in the past. If Prodigy is referring to the time that she met them while working, please let it be known that Erica was only 16 years old at the time," the statement reads. "The content in this book is blatant defamation of Ms. Mena's character and is nothing more than fabricated slander - in an awful way to gain financial profit. Although, we wish him the best in the new year, the spread of these false and malicious claims - at the expense of Erica Mena's brand and reputation - will not be taken lightly. Erica and her team are currently pursuing legal action to make sure this matter is handled, and the truth is thoroughly publicized. We hope this clears any gray area, doubt, or un-readiness."

Prodigy's Erica Mena Story

Erica Mena, of "Love & Hip Hop" fame, has more than a few skeletons hanging out in her closet. Apparently, the reality show star has a bit of a raunchy history with rappers, and Prodigy of Mobb Deep recounted a story involving Erica in his autobiography, My Infamous Life.

Apparently, Erica used to date Havoc of Mobb Deep, but one night while all were out getting wasted at a nightclub, she let Prodigy put his hand up her skirt. He convinced her to leave with him and the two were headed to the car when Havoc rolled up and screamed for her to leave with him.

Prodigy Squashes Jay-Z Beef?

Prodigy of Mobb Deep buried any ideas of lingering beef between the Queensbridge duo and superstar Jay-Z. The two parties had a long and tumultuous history, but now Prodigy claims none of that is relevant. He's focused on making music.

"Tell [Jay-Z] to get in the studio," Prodigy said during an appearance on "RapFix Live." "He gotta come to Infamous Studios in Queens, though."

Prodigy added that past issues belong in the past.

"It's just hip-hop, man, making good songs. Everything else is irrelevant, man," Prodigy stated. "All the feelings and dudes wanna act feminine, put that to the side, man."

Prodigy & Wiz Khalifa Celebrate Urban Ink

Wiz Khalifa and Prodigy of Mobb Deep are gracing dual covers of tattoo magazine Urban Ink's 20th issue. The two rappers are well-known for their extensive body art. Pittsburgh rapper Wiz Khalifa and recently freed rapper Prodigy have landed on dual covers of Urban Ink's 20th issue.

Prodigy's spread features a comic book and horror movie theme (his tattoos focus on 'good versus evil'); while Wiz is surrounded by beautiful women and fast cars.

Sean Garrett, rap group Travis Porter and “Bad Girls Club” star Wilmarie Sena are also featured in the issue.

Of the many magazines clamoring to interview Prodigy or review his new book, My Infamous Life: The Autobiography of Mobb Deep’s Prodigy, I'm glad that I could be a part of this cover. It may seem strange that I, having no tattoos, would be featured in an ink magazine, but as you see model Kitti Kouture and I are angelic and devilish adversaries... and angels, of course, don't have tattoos. Prodigy Supports Ron Paul

Prodigy recently weighed in on the current political climate in America. The Mobb Deep rapper believes that reports of Osama Bin Laden's death are 'bullsh*t,' and studied the teachings of Malachi York while he was in prison. When asked who he favored in next year's elections, Prodigy gave a somewhat surprising answer.

"I love Ron Paul," he said. "I love what he represents. I read his books while I was locked up, End the Fed and all that. I would like to see [him win the presidential election] because I would like to see him shake things up a little bit. I like that type of sh*t. Shake these people up a little something, we need that out here...But let's be clear, that's not happening. They're not going to let him win. I wish him the most success. I hope he does win, to tell you the truth, but they're not going to let that man win. Whatever they've got planned and all this sh*t they've got planned for us, this is how it's going down. Only God's going to stop this."

Nas Discusses Ending Prodigy Beef

Nas and Prodigy recently ended their long-standing bad blood and Nas himself spoke about it in a recent interview. The two Queensbridge emcees buried the hatchet after Prodigy reached out to Nas following the former's release from prison earlier this year.

"He called me as soon as he got out of jail; he got in touch with me," Nas explained in an interview. "We talked about some things. I didn't know he had a book. He didn't tell me that. I guess he just wanted to clear the air on some past things that don't mean anything today...I just jumped on the ['Dog Sh*t'] record; put that to the past or whatever ill feelings he had towards me. I think he was misinformed about things, like I was a negative guy or like I was trying to harm him in any kind of way. I think maybe he just grew up a little bit."

Capone Warns 50 Cent

Rapper Capone is still raging against Mobb Deep's Prodigy after Prodigy made allegations that Capone testified in a case against Killer Black, who is the brother of Mobb Deep member Havoc. Capone has also asked 50 Cent to remain out of this feud. Mobb Deep are affiliated with 50's G-Unit imprint.

"50, 50, I am asking you stay of this please, my ni**a. I got love for you," Capone said. "You're from Queens, you're a Queens ni**a like me, but just this is not a situation which - at the end of the day, it's hammer time."

"I got caught in a situation, and I gave a false statement [to police]," Capone added. "I lied. Come to find out, the motherfu**ing statement came back, they tried to use me as a witness. But I lied. I wasn't Killer's co-defendant, I wasn't there when the crime happened, I aint speak to him after. But I didn't put nothing in there to incriminate nobody. The n***a you say I snitched on was running in the streets with me. Get your facts right."

Bars-N-Hooks member Mike Delorean also blasted Prodigy for his book. Mike was irate that Prodigy would bring up his deceased mother.

"P you was a wankster, you talking about things you don't even know. you wildin' talking about ni**as mothers. You talkin' about ma dukes and she's resting in peace. Man, the goons are on your head," Mike Delorean said.
