Hoopz & Shaq Still Together

Despite rumors that have been flying around for weeks that their relationship ended, former NBA superstar Shaquille O'Neal and his reality star girlfriend Erika "Hoopz" Alexander are still very much together. There were stories that the Hall of Fame hooper had security kick his girl out of his house back in February.

Nonetheless, Shaq told Shade 45 that there was no truth to the gossip.

“We fine. We good. Period." Shaq said. "When I want y’all to know something, I got the number up here. I’ll call. If I try to respond to what everybody say, I would have to rent this building out and rent out every floor."

Shaq went on to dismiss gossip sites that spread untruths.

"They make a business out of getting clicks and getting advertising money... more power to ‘em," he said. "You can’t like, take pictures and then say 'This is a story.'”

Shaq Dumped Hoopz?

It looks like the love is gone between Shaq and Hoopz. The NBA legend and the reality show star have reportedly called it quits--and at least one of them is ready to move on. According to reports, Shaq has decided he's done with Hoopz, born Nicole Alexander, and broke it off.

The two were previously engaged, but Shaq allegedly dumped her two weeks ago and had his security escort her out of his house.

An unnamed source says that “Hoopz got emotional, and Shaq had to protect himself [from a lawsuit] . . . so he left the house and had [his security] help Hoopz gather her things and leave.”

Shaq Reveals All In Book?

Retired NBA superstar Shaquille O'Neal may not be returning to his hip hop career, but the Diesel has just released a tell-all book that revisits another infamous part of his history: his legendary feud with former Lakers teammate Kobe Bryant. Shaq reveals exactly what was going on behind the scenes between the two during their eight-year tenure as teammates.

"So I’m on edge because I don’t have a new deal, and Kobe is on edge because he might be going to jail, so we’re taking it out on each other," Shaq shares. "Just before the start of the ’03-’04 season the coaching staff called us in and said, 'No more public sparring or you’ll get fined.' … Phil [Jackson] was tired of it. Karl Malone and Gary Payton were sick of it. … So what happens? Immediately after that Kobe runs right out to Jim Gray and does this interview where he lets me have it. He said I was fat and out of shape. He said I was milking my toe injury for more time off, and the injury wasn’t even that serious. (Yeah, right. It only ended my damn career.)"

"He said I was 'lobbying for a contract extension when we have two Hall of Famers playing pretty much for free.' I’m sitting there watching this interview and I’m gonna explode," Shaq says. "Hours earlier we had just promised our coach we’d stop. It was a truce broken. I let the guys know, 'I’m going to kill him.'"

Shaq Announces His Retirement

NBA superstar Shaquille O'Neal has called it a career. The baller/actor/rapper played 19 unforgettable seasons in the league, and after an injury-plagued season with the Boston Celtics, Shaq is walking away from the game. He's giving an official press conference at the end of the week.

“We did it. Nineteen years baby," Shaq said in a video posted on his Twitter account. "Thank you very much. That’s why I’m telling you first: I’m about to retire. Love ya, talk to you soon."

Shaq entered the NBA as a devastating 21 year old with the Orlando Magic, became the most dominant force in the game alongside Kobe Bryant with the Los Angeles Lakers and helped Dwyane Wade win his first NBA title with the Miami Heat. He finished his last few years with the Phoenix Suns, Cleveland Cavaliers and Boston.

During his career, Shaq also starred in the movies Blue Chips, Kazaam, and Steel and released four rap albums: Shaq Diesel, Shaq Fu: The Return and Can't Stop the Reign and Respect.
