9th Wonder On "Watch the Throne"
Superproducer 9th Wonder shared his early thoughts on the newly-released Kanye West/Jay-Z album Watch the Throne. The producer voiced his disappointment in the album via his Twitter page.
"It has nothing to with the STYLE of rap, subject matter, NOTHING..its the FEELING for me..u can KILL 50 people in a song as long as it bangs," 9th Wonder tweeted. "As a musician/beatmaker/active participant in hip-hop, I want to be SCARED when I hear something, like when I heard Aquemini...."
"It has nothing to do with samples vs. keys...cause I ROCKS with The Neptunes, Swizz, etc," he continued. "I understand expansion/experimentation in music, but its not for me."
"#WTT as a whole is not for me. I can rock with New Day & The Joy," he added.
"Lemme tell yall something, I am not a follower, never will be, if something is dope, cool, if not, then cool, but I don't follow. #STANDTALL," he said finally. "Thank you God for giving me the ability to listen to music objectively, despite how big the artist is."

Swizz Beatz On DMX
Swizz Beatz shared his support for his friend, incarcerated rapper DMX. X's career has been derailed due to years of drug use, arrests and erratic behavior, but according to Swizz, its up to DMX to get his career together.
Swizz still believes in the troubled former chart-topper.
"I'll always work with DMX; that's my brother no matter what," Swizz Beatz said in an interview. "X was a winner already. Now it's just a matter of getting that title back. Bottom line is, he's a winner. It's just on when he wants to win again; it's all up to him."

Cassidy Has No Beef With Swizz
Cassidy got some attention earlier this year when he went off on Swizz Beatz via Twitter for not returning his phone calls. But now, Cassidy says the whole thing was blown out of proportion and he has no issue with the superproducer.
“I wasn’t really saying it to Swizz, I just was saying it to the people like my followers and fans, the people that hold me down and was wondering - what is the relationship with you and Swizz like?” he explained. “People was wondering, what’s going on, why he’s not really shouting me out or repping me, why I don’t really got no Swizz Beatz lately? A lot of people were confused and didn’t know the behind the scenes information.”
“Before it got on every blog, right after I put it on there, he wrote some messages,” Cassidy continued. “Not even a direct message, he just responded and wrote me some messages back and I think he erased it not too long after that because he didn’t want everybody to know what we was going through."
“That’s not something I wanted the world to be involved in, what we was going through," Cassidy added. "I just wanted him to reach out to me because we made history together. He was a good support system. Even though I’m a stand-up n***a, it’d be easier to stand if you got the support from a dude like Swizz. So I just was trying to reach out to him, let the past be the past, start from scratch and move forward.”

Quote of The Day: Swizz Beatz Says Ruff Ryders Don't Get Their Due Respect
“I just feel like the whole Ruff Ryders thing wasn’t given its proper props...We was very unique at the time. Nobody really brought in a culture within another culture—the bike culture—extreme sports mixed with the street...People forget we were breaking all kinds of records, and I think we was going so strong and so powerful that the industry couldn’t deal with it no more.” - Swizz Beatz, on the Ruff Ryders music label. Cassidy Is Mad At Swizz Beatz
After crafting such hits as "My Drink and My 2Step" together, Cassidy and Swizz Beatz don't appear to be buddies anymore. For his part, Cassidy sounds like a bitter ex. The rapper recently blasted superproducer Swizz Beatz for not showing him enough attention.
Okay, that's not exactly what he said, but it sure feels like that's what he's trying to say.
“@THEREALSWIZZZ don't even answer my calls anymore: we ain't speak in over a year: I thought we was fam, but times change, Smh That why I changed.. Ain't no love loss.. It is what it is,” he tweeted. “It's never a war, I'm just speaking my mind.. How can we talk if you never pick up, You said you let me do my own thing ASAP, but what does that have to do wit communicating, since I'm doing my own thing you don't talk to me anymore.. Thats crazy..,” he continued. “the only reason I'm on twitter is cause that's the only way I can reach you.. RealRap.”

Mashonda's Bounced Back
Mashonda is enjoying her resurgence on the hit show "Love & Hip Hop." The former Mrs. Swizz Beatz had become a poster child for scorned women following her ex's stepping out with, and subsequent marriage to, Alicia Keys; but now Mashonda feels that she's a role model for women looking to rebuild their lives following a painful breakup.
"At the time that we shot [the show,] I was in a great place, so that’s what made the difference," Mashonda tells KING. "I felt like that was my therapy, and that’s all I wanted to do. Anytime I’d log in to Facebook or Twitter, there would be tons of women reaching out to me, thanking me for sharing my story. Those messages gave me a lot of strength, a lot of courage. From that point on, I just wanted to help women."
When asked her ever-growing fanbase of male 'groupies,' the sexy singer sets the record straight.
"I show everybody love," she says. "But I don’t like the word “groupie”-—it’s so harsh. I don’t feel there’s anything wrong with one person admiring another person."

You mean the groupie boys?Or groupie girls. You never know.

[Laughs] Oh, Lord, you know what, I show everybody love. But I don’t like the word “groupie”—it’s so harsh. I don’t feel there’s anything wrong with one person admiring another person.Who is admiring you nowadays? Have you’ve been hitting the dating scene lately?
I have. I recently went on a date, and it was incredible.Sounds like homeboy is getting a call back.
