Ciara Gets Vulnerable

Ciara is prepping her comeback album One Woman Army for release and the R&B starlet says that she will be opening up in her music and fans can expect a slightly new approach from her this time around.

"This is the most vulnerable I’ve ever been in my life and in my career and I’m so confident with being vulnerable," she says. "At one time I was very afraid to be as vulnerable as I am and I really let my heart into this. This is like a journal, my own personal journey when you get this record. Of course, you have to have some dance moments, it’s only right that we do that."

"There are fun moments, very personal, there are moments when I darn near cried writing songs but it was really about pouring my heart into the songs and let the music take me away," she added.

Ciara Split Up 50 Cent & Chelsea Handler?

50 Cent and Chelsea Handler always remained coy and playful about whether or not they were dating back in 2010 and early 2011; but in an appearance on Howard Stern's radio show, Handler revealed that the two indeed had a relationship.

Handler also revealed that they broke up because of 50 Cent's other rumored love interest: pop star Ciara.

“You’re telling me this girl wants to get back with you but she’s upset that you’re dating me,” Handler questioned. “Is that what you’re saying…Whatever I called him was probably the worst thing you could say to a black person, short of calling him the N-word. Like I said…you’re a street person basically something along the lines of being a gangster. And it was really, really offensive and I hung up and I’ve never spoken to him again.”

Wow.

The-Dream Explains Ciara Snub

The-Dream revealed a little while ago that he wasn't working with pop/R&B star Ciara in the near future. Some interpreted that declaration to be evidence of bad blood between the two, who formerly collaborated on her hit song "Promise."

But, according to The-Dream, the rift is purely contractual.

“I have a contract under Def Jam so it’s only certain people I work with," The-Dream told Tim Westwood. "[The executives] were real smart by putting that in there, I made them pay for it.”

Nicki Minaj, Wiz Khalifa, Trey Songz and Ciara 'Get Schooled'

Entertainers Nicki Minaj, Wiz Khalifa, Trey Songz and Ciara all helped launch the Get Schooled Foundation's "Wake Up and Get Schooled" campaign this week. Celebrities record phone calls that will be played for young students in the mornings that encourage them to start their day and get to school.

“The pre-recorded messages, running throughout the school year until June 2012, stress the importance of getting up and going to school every day," according to Executive Director Marie Groark. "Studies show that students with more than 10 absences in a school year risk falling behind. Students with more than 20 absences have only a one-in-five chance of graduating.”

“One of the key factors in students graduating and succeeding in their educational goals is merely getting them to campus in the first place," Executive Director Marie Groark, of the Get Schooled Foundation. "By using the power of celebrity and persuasion, we are encouraging students to wake up and get schooled!”

Ciara Joining Epic?

Ciara could be making a switch. With her former mentor L.A. Reid heading over to Epic, rumors have begun to swirl that the pop/R&B starlet would be heading over to the label in an effort to restart her career.

When asked, Ciara was ambiguous about whether or not she would be making the move.

"I think you have to ask L.A. kinda what’s going on," Ciara says. "I can’t really comment on what’s happening and the system. I can’t really say too much. I don’t really know too much about the breakdown of everything. I know a lot of times I speak to my fans [via Twitter] like, “Today was so great,” or “Oh my god, I can’t believe this is happening right now.” There’s things I’ve been saying so I can’t wait to share those things with my fans."

Ciara Loves Getting Naked

Ciara famously balked at VIBE a few years back when the magazine allegedly 'airbrushed' her bathing suit of and presented her nude on its cover. But now, the artist-briefly-known-as-Super-C says that she loves her birthday suit.

Ciara says she's most comfortable without the bother of clothing.

"I feel sexiest when I'm by myself, walking around nude," Ciara says. "That's when I feel really good. I have this new obsession with nudity. It may sound weird, but I just love embracing the body. I think it's beautiful."

Ciara Admits She's Dating Amar'e

Ciara finally confirmed that she and New York Knicks All-Star forward Amar'e Stoudemire are, in fact, a couple. The two have been spotted at several events over the past few months, but had previously skirted the issue of whether or not they were 'booed up.'

HipHollywood's Kevin Frazier interviewed Ciara said she confirmed the two were officially together.

"Just interviewed Ciara and she admitted that she and Amare are indeed a couple. She was very shy about it and said 'you know I don't talk about my personal life,' but when I pushed she shook her head laughed and said yes they are a couple," Frazier says. "She added that this is a very happy time in her life and that she is really enjoying herself! She and Amare were snapped at a party after the Met Gala last night."

Game Getting Married?

Game announced that he will--or at least, could--be marrying his baby's mother Tiffany after he returns from his current tour. The rapper is performing on the Australian Supafest tour, alongside Ciara, Keri Hilson, Snoop Dogg, T-Pain, Fat Joe, and Busta Rhymes. But as soon as he gets home, the L.A. rhymer says he's getting hitched.

"The day I get back I'm marrying u Tiffney," Game tweeted. "I love u, my kids & I love my family and I can't go another day without u sharing my last name."

Oh and uh--incidentally, Game revealed a few days ago that his boo-boo Tiffney promised to cheat on him while he was out on tour. "Tiffney, (my youngest son and my daughters mom) just told me she gone f*** a n***a tonite and aint nothing I can do about it!!!" Game tweeted previously.

Guess it makes sense to wife her...

Ester Dean Believed In Herself

Singer/songwriter Ester Dean recently revealed some of her story as a struggling songwriter looking for direction. In an interview with the Los Angeles Times, Dean admitted that just three years ago she was struggling to pay her bills. She also revealed that her hit "Drop It Low" was intended for another dance pop diva.

“’Drop It Low,’ honestly, was for Ciara, but she didn’t come get the song," Dean says. "And then Britney [Spears] wanted it. During the demo [Polow] kept telling me, ‘You’ve gotta believe it’ as I was singing it. A week later he asked if I wanted to hear my new single.”

“I’d never leave the studio," Dean continues. "[Polow] would leave to take a shower and I’d have my clothes ready to use the studio shower. He’d go to sleep and I’d work. There are lots of people way more talented than me — but I work more and I wanted it more. I never waited on anyone else.”

“I had so many beliefs against being a singer, or what it takes," she shared. "There was a lot of pain associated with that. The rejection of it all. I lived in a rejection state of mind. Not because of my voice, the mike (mic) never rejected me. It was harboring all those bad memories of being broke. It teaches you your worth. Nothing good comes from that.”

Ciara Is Taking Her Time

Ciara made waves a couple of months ago by announcing publicly that she wanted to be released from her recording contract. The dance pop diva hasn't had the hottest career as of late, but, in an interview with Yahoo Australia, she made it clear that she's focusing on her right now and isn't obsessing over record sales or label woes.

“Right now, I am in the process of letting things fall how they are supposed to," she said. "It may sound crazy to you, but I have never really managed to take time for me and to enjoy my life and enjoy the benefits I have been blessed with."

“I want to look back five years from now and be happy I have set up the proper building blocks for my business to run on, even if I don’t want to perform," she added. "I am working hard on every aspect of my career, from who I am as a performer to making music, TV and films. From my perspective, my goal is to do more than just perform. To use the platform I have been given to turn it into something more, to do something different.”

Rihanna vs. Ciara Twitter Feud + More

Pop stars Rihanna and Ciara continued their war of words on Twitter over the weekend. Following Ciara's critical remarks about Rihanna during Ciara's appearance on Joan River's show, Rihanna fired back via Twitter. "My bad ci, did I 4get to tip u? #howrudeofme," Rihanna tweeted after the story initially broke this past Friday (February 25.)

From there, things just got worse between the two.

"Trust me Rhianna u dont want to see me on or off the stage ... pure comedy...," Ciara fired back.

Rihanna's retort? "U gangsta huh? Haaa Good luck with booking that stage u speak of"

(We know you're from the "A," Ciara, but you might not want it with an island girl.)

But things abruptly changed tone, with Rihanna extending an olive branch. "Ciara baby, I love u girl! U hurt my feelings real bad on TV! I'm heartbroken!" Rihanna tweeted. "That's y I retaliated this way! So sorry! #letsmakeup"

"Rhi u know its always been love since day 1! Doing shows/everything. you threw me off in that party! Apology accepted. Let's chat in person."

Ciara Dropped By Her Label?

It looks like Ciara and Jive Records have parted ways.

It is being reported by several sources that the R&B/pop star has been dropped from her label. Things allegedly soured between the two parties as far back as 2009, when the label switched Ciara's management and the singer's Fantasy Ride album subsequently tanked. Her follow-up was released around two months ago, and so far, Basic Instinct has failed to meet sales expectations--despite a positive critical reception.

There are rumors that Ciara's album track, the Usher-assisted "Turn It Up," was slated to be the next single and there were radio ads in place for an early March release. Those ads have been pulled--further fueling speculation that the singer was let go from Jive.
