Miley Cyrus Responds To Tyler, the Creator

Twitter can lead to some strange celebrity exchanges. Tyler, the Creator decided to take a crack at former teen queen Miley Cyrus and her new, 'edgy' hairdo. The Odd Future frontman made a joke about her look and she wasted no time responding.

"Hahahaha. She was like 'Hey, I Wanna Do Something Different.......F**k Me Up Real Quick.' Hahahahaha," Tyler tweeted.

Miley apparently didn't find his comments amusing. She fired back, "My 'barber couldn't even come close to the f**k job that is your face. # your right you should shut up."

"PS Your music is dope," she added.

"That's awesome," replied Tyler.

Frank Ocean Reveals Letter's Origins

Frank Ocean spoke at-length about his coming out letter and revealed that it had been written back in December of 2011 to be released alongside his album sleeve. He planned to announce his bisexuality via that method to address any potential speculation that the songs onchannel ORANGE were about men.

"I knew that I was writing in a way that people would ask questions," he said. "I knew that my star was rising, and I knew that if I waited I would always have somebody that I respected be able to encourage me to wait longer, to not say it till who-knows-when."

"People are just afraid of things too much ... Sure, evil exists, extremism exists," he added. "Somebody could commit a hate crime and hurt me. But they could do the same just because I'm black. They could do the same just because I'm American."

Tyler Knew Frank Ocean's Secret

Odd Future frontman Tyler, the Creator revealed on Formspring that he was well-aware that his OFWGKTA bandmate Frank Ocean was bisexual. Despite the rapper having been criticized by some for homophobic lyrics, he says that he knew Ocean's sexuality long ago and supported his friend.

“Hahaha yeah, ive know for a while, he told me a long time ago," he said. "It was just funny cause i was getting bashed as a homophobe or whatever and i kept saying dude how am i one?"

"I have gay friends like what the f**k leave me alone haha," he continued. "Yeah thats my n***a tho, sh*t is hard for him but he did that.”

Odd Future Announce Tour Details

Odd Future Wolf Gang Kill Them All has announced details for their late summer/early fall 22-date North American “Camp Flog Gnaw” tour. The trek will begin in Norfolk, Virginia August 31st, continuing until the Odd Future Carnival on September 30 in Los Angeles, California.

Earl Sweatshirt Lands Label Deal

Odd Future's Earl Sweatshirt has landed a label deal with Tan Cresada, which is distributed by Columbia Records. Earl has never released a solo album and has only worked sporadically with Odd Future Wolf Gang Kill Them All since their breakthrough. Earl spent two years in Samoa at the Coral Reef Academy.

The label will be releasing a collaborative album between Earl and Odd Future frontman Tyler, The Creator called EarlWolf. Tan Cresada will also release Earl's studio debut and a project by another OFWGKTA member, The Internet.

Earl only appeared on one track from Odd Future's March 2012 release, OF Tape, Vol. 2.

Rah Digga Explains Tyler Beef

Rah Digga and Tyler, the Creator have squashed their beef, but Rah Digga felt the need to explain why she dropped her diss track "The N***a In Me." According to Rah, she wanted to stand up for both herself and fellow veteran femcee MC Lyte.

"When I caught wind of what was going on with MC Lyte, I was like 'come on man.' She's not going to come out swinging. Pick on somebody that's going to give you a run for your money," she said. "Everybody excuses it like he's a crazy little kid. Kids gotta be accountable for their actions."

"At the end of the day, this is Hip Hop," she added. "It's no beef. It's not when I see you my goons are going to get you. I'm about to go watch him perform, like stage left, Wolf Gang, what's good? There's no beef. Somebody poked fun in their music and I poked fun back."

T-Pain's An Odd Future Fan

T-Pain took to Twitter to show some love to the Odd Future Wolf Gang Kill Them All crew. The technologically-enhanced crooner praised the collective's oddball "Loiter Squad" show and engaged in a playful back-and-forth with Taco and Tyler of Odd Future.

"#loitersqaud is the sh*t homie. Congrats on the show my n***a. Tell @fucktyler I hate frogs.," he tweeted, and replied to Taco's shout-out. "Even if that was a sarcastic tweet hahahahaaaa. I am pretty cool tho lol"

He also cracked a few jokes with Tyler.

"Dude I didn't even think this was really your page," T-Pain tweeted. "What the f**k is that twitcon dude hahahahaaaa"

Tyler Says Stop Living In the Past

Tyler, the Creator has had enough of hip hop nostalgia. The Odd Future Wolf Gang Kill Them All frontman voiced his irritation with hip hop fans pining for the genre's previous eras and anyone who dismissed the current wave of rappers making their way.

"I Genuinely Hate The People Who Would Ever Say 'Hip Hop Died' Or Some Corny Sh*t Like That. 'If This Is Considered Hip Hop, We A....' STFU," he tweeted.

"This Is Not 94, N***a, Grow Up, It Is 2012, Not Everybody Wanna Hear That Sh*t You Been Playing Since N***as Was Born," he added. "Its New Stuff My Guy"

Odd Future's Album Hits Top 5

Odd Future Wolf Gang Kill Them All is expected to land in the top five of the Billboard Hot 200 albums chart with their releaseOF Tape Vol. 2. The album is sitting alongside monster sellers like Adele's 21 and the official soundtrack to the popular motion picture The Hunger Games.

"NOT ONE SONG ON THE RADIO, NOT ONE VIDEO ON TV, BUT WE SOME HOW GOT DEBUT NUMBER 5 ON THAT BILLBOARD CHART EVERYONE CARES ABOUT. AWESOME!" Tyler, the Creator tweeted regarding the news.

The project is the Odd Future collective's first release since inking a deal with Sony in 2011.

Frank Ocean Cancels EP

Odd Future's Frank Ocean has confirmed that he will not be releasing the planned "Nostalgia, Lite" EP. The singer/songwriter had previously announced the project--a seven track EP version of his breakout mixtape from 2011--would be released last year, but now, Ocean says that there will be no EP.

"‘Nostalgia, Lite.’ is never coming out," he wrote on his Tumblr page. "Hahaha. What I look like a year later re-releasing my last album? Not icey. B*tch I’m icey."

"Only saying that for my journalist/blogger friends. i know my icey-ness is obvious," he continued. "[It felt like Def Jam was] signing a kid with dreams and talent with no intention of following through," he said. "[But now] we're cool. There is a new album coming. I'm super proud of it."

Odd Future TV Show Trailer Debuts

West Coast shock rap collective Odd Future Wolf Gang Kill Them All have released the trailer for their upcoming TV show "Loiter Squad." The show, which is being broadcast by Adult Swim, has been described as "...a mixture of 'Jackass' and 'Chappelle’s Show.'"

The show is set to premiere on March 25th.

Dickhouse, the production company behind MTV's early 2000s hit "Jackass," is producing the series. Jeff Tremaine and Adult Swim's Nick Widenfield are also serving as executive producers for the show.

B.o.B. On Tyler 'Beef:

B.o.B. wasn't too invested in his brief 'beef' with Odd Future Wolf Gang Kill Them All frontman Tyler, the Creator. The Grand Hustle rapper said that he isn't interested in feuding with other rappers.

Bobby Ray downplayed the Tyler situation's seriousness and the entire idea of beefs.

"He just heard me on the radio rapping about whatever the f*ck I was rapping about and was like, 'Who the f*ck is this guy?'" B.o.B said. "And it ended up in his lyrics. I didn't think it was gonna escalate. The whole beef thing is kinda lame. It's like 'F*ck this, f*ck that!' I'm not gonna walk around the earth mad at some random person. It's pointless."

Earl Sweatshirt Returns

Rapper Earl Sweatshirt, estranged member of oddball hip hop collective Odd Future Wolf Gang Kill Them All, has returned tot he fold. Earl all but disappeared from the group just as their popularity was beginning to spread in early 2011, as he was sent to a reform school in Samoa.

Sweatshirt is looking to re-establish his place within the group and announced his return via Twitter.

"Home," Sweatshirt tweeted. "N***a need followers. give me 50,000 and I'll release this sh*t for everybody. Yeah n***a."

Odd Future Announces New Album

Hip hop collective Odd Future Wolf Gang Kill Them All have announced they will be releasing a new compilation album, "The OF Tape Vol. 2" as well an upcoming tour for 2012.

The album is slated to be released on March 20th and will feature music from each member of the camp. It will be released on their own Odd Future Records. The tour is expected to also take place during March and will feature ten stops in ten cities.

There will reportedly also be pop-up shops similar to the one the band posted in Los Angeles late last year.

Looking Back: The 2011 Hip Hop 100

2011 was an eventful year for hip hop. The emergence of new superstars, the affirmation of established legends and their greatness and the sad, untimely deaths of a pair of 90s hip hop legends all gave resonance to the past year. HipHopBlog.com once again decided to list the 100 individuals that sat at the top of hip hop's cache in 2011, and we've included a diverse roster of artists, executives, entrepreneurs and personalities.

There were several new faces that changed the 2011 hip hop landscape. Hip hop is an ever-evolving artform and a thriving culture. The Hip Hop 100 celebrates both sides of the coin and reminds fans and artists that there are a myriad of ways to make your presence felt in the game. These are the people that have mastered all of them.

Frank Ocean Prepping Album

Odd Future singer Frank Ocean is in the studio preparing his official Def Jam debut album. The singer revealed in an interview that the songs are mostly already written; he's focusing on the production and arranging side of the project.

“The record’s written, we’re just trying to tie up all the production. Get everything sonically pleasing to me, the director of this film,” he said. “It’s been cool working on it. I take my time, for better or for worse. I’m excited to share and perform them. When I started writing this record, that’s one of the things I said. I was like, this record, I want to be able to perform well, to transition to stage well.”

Ocean also said he wasn't pressed to work with a certain superproducer.

“I’ll be candid about that. I told [Kanye], as much as I want to work with you - I’m not going to say he wants to work with me so bad - but I’m a big fan," he says. "He’s a big influence on my music. I told him, ‘As much as I want to work with you, I kind of want to do this without you. I kind of want to do it on my own.’

“I worked with one producer, who I don’t know, I just found some random synergy with, a producer named Malay,” he continued. “We worked for the first couple of days and did some crazy feeling songs.”

Odd Future Announce Tour

Hip hop collective Odd Future Wolf Gang Kill Them All has announced the preliminary dates for an upcoming U.K. tour the group is embarking on in 2012. The tour will be brief, but will take the collective from Birmingham to Dublin, Ireland in March and April.

They will be performing at Birmingham’s O2 Academy on March 28th, followed by stops in London (March 29th), Manchester (March 31st) and Glasgow (April 1st). The group wraps it up at Dublin’s Olympia on April 2nd.

Tyler Wants To Work With Lil Wayne?

Odd Future Wolf Gang Kill Them All frontman Tyler, the Creator admitted in a recent interview that he's eager to work with superstar Lil Wayne. Tyler says that he's slightly nervous about putting the wheels in motion to make it happen, however.

"Wayne's cool. I ran into him at my hangout back home, and he's just cool," Tyler told MTV News. "I actually have this beat that I want him on, but I was too scared to get it to Clancy to get it to them, but Wayne's cool."

"I wanted to kinda fan out and sh--," Tyler admitted, "But he gave me a speech about how happy he was that I won a VMA and that seeing my mom go crazy kinda made him feel like he won it too, because that sh-- was real as f---."

Frank Ocean On Odd Future Beefs

Odd Future Wolf Gang Kill Them All member Frank Ocean recently spoke on group leader Tyler, the Creator and his tendency to get involved with gripes with other celebrities. Despite the fact that Frank and Tyler both had words with R&B singer Chris Brown back during the summer, Frank says he's not trying to share every beef that Tyler gets himself into.

But that doesn't mean there's dissension within the crew.

"That's family. It's a crew, but it's not like a boy band where we're like this cohesive thing that moves and does everything together," Ocean said when asked about Odd Future. "We're like a crew of a bunch of different artists who create their own thing and their own wave -- I definitely won't go on the record and say that I latch on to every beef or confrontation or scuffle that Tyler gets into, maybe in the streets, but not in the matrix or the Internet. I can't keep up with that."
