Lil Scrappy Nervous Around Cameras?

Lil Scrappy made his debut on VH1's "Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta" last night (June 18th), with the ATL native focusing on rebuilding his relationship with his baby's mother. Not exactly the most high-profile guy in recent years, the rapper's adjusting to having his life playing out on national television.
But he's also parlaying his hip hop career into an acting career, and he says that that's a lot harder than being himself on camera.
“It’s kind of weird with the camera on you like that, and it’s not a video, it’s acting,” Lil Scrappy told AllHipHop. “You can’t be yourself; you have to be a whole other person that you’re not.”

"Single Ladies" Actor Blasts Stacey Dash

The Queen Latifah-produced VH1 hit series "Single Ladies" recently returned for its second season, with one notable absence. Star Stacey Dash abruptly departed the show after its first season, and her former co-star--actor D.B. Woodside--admitted that he was glad to see the sexy actress go.
“Last year was very difficult at times to go to set with all that tension that was going on with Stacey," Woodside said in an interview. "So I wish her well. I’m sure she’s off doing something else.”
“Yes, she was," the actor replied when asked if Dash was difficult. "I don’t want to cause any trouble, but I, for one, am happy she’s gone. It’s a much better place to be. It’s a much better set."
“I’m just going to keep it straight. I’m just going to keep it real. I am happy that she’s not there anymore,” he added. “When I first heard that Stacey was leaving, I went out and celebrated and had some drinks.”

Monica Supports "Basketball Wives"

While many people have been vocally critical of reality shows like VH1's "Basketball Wives," R&B singer Monica isn't one of them. The star, who also has appeared in a reality series, says that she understands that the "...Wives" are just one representation of one lifestyle.
"I respect the women on 'Basketball Wives' because I think that that’s their truth," she says. "It’s not different then if you take a group of men from a post office [or] you take a group of men from FEDex [or] the music industry; rappers, actors, whatever--and there will be different situations that may speak to each other and some of their situations are more similar. Mine is totally different but I respect them because they use that show as a platform to do other things that they love; they own stores, they own cosmetics, they own so many different things."

Deelishis Is Back?

Deelishis is back. You remember her, right? The second season winner of VH1's hoodrat-fest "Flavor of Love?" Well, the big booty vixen is returning to television on a show called (wait for it) "Motor City Wives." The show features several 'prominent' wives in the city of Detroit. Deelishis (aka London Charles) is the wife of Detroit party promoter Orlando Gordon.
Also reportedly joining the cast are former Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick's sister, Ayanna Kilpatrick-Ferguson, former "Making the Band" cast member Sara Stokes and author Valencia Williams.
There are reports of a confronation regarding Deelishis and Ayanna (rumored to be about former dirt-dog Mayor Kwame) and Valencia meets a transgender woman (Julisa) who claims that JoJo Simmons has been trying to pursue her.
Let the ratchetness begin...

"Love & Hip Hop's" Yandy On Kimbella:

Yandy Smith of "Love & Hip Hop" had some eye-opening revelations to share in a recent interview with TheYBF. The reality star dished on just how 'real' the conflicts are on her hit show, and why she feels a certain notorious castmate gets a bad rep.
"I know people have been calling me the 'Don King of reality tv,' but what I want folks to know is that you only see 10 mins out of a person's 24 hour day," she says. "I am not all about money and I am a good friend. But this is a reality show...it's for entertainment. These ladies and I are not really friends, but we are put in social interactions for entertainment purposes. And sometimes, things happen. The producers like to get a reaction because a good fight can lead to 3 million viewers. "
"As for Kimbella, she doesn’t play victim at all. But for whatever reason, a lot of people (on and off the show) hate on her," she adds. "I have seen it with my own eyes....people want to pick on her. And now she is so used to people coming for her that she is a little sensitive. But once you break down that wall, she is a sweet girl. But she is not presented in the best light on this show for a number of reasons.

Kimbella Defends VH1

Despite Yandy Smith and Erica Mena blasting Vh1 for editing footage to make the show look more scandalous, firebrand Kimbella is defending the network and the show's depiction of her co-stars. Smith says that the show makes her appear to be a constant instigator and that the show misrespresented Erica.
Kimbella denies both women's claims.
"VH1 didn't do editing on anything with [Erica]," Kimbella told TMZ. "That's who she is."
Kimbella has been at the center of two well-publicized fights since the season began.

Meagan Good Not Joining "Single Ladies"

The Web's been abuzz over who will take Stacey Dash's place on VH1's popular show "Single Ladies." For several days, its been speculated that sexy actress Meagan Good would be joining the cast of the show, but Ms. Good has thrown water on that theory.
“They haven’t contacted me," Good clarified. "And if they do, I’d only be coming on as recurring, (like I was on 'The Game.')"
Meagan says full-time TV work isn't in the cards for her right now.
"I’m not ready to be a regular on a show, although I am developing a show myself I might star in,” she shared.

T.I. Filming Reality Show

T.I. Filming Reality Show
Newly-released rapper T.I. will star in a new reality show for VH1. The show will follow his life and journey, post-incarceration. Tip was released to a halfway house on yesterday (August 31) after serving ten months in prison.
The new show will debut on December 5th and is slated to air 10 episodes.
The show is billed as a project that will follow T.I.'s attempts to “re-acclimate back into his life as a father, husband, son and friend, as well as a musician, a clothier, a businessman, and an actor.”
“Viewers have always connected with T.I. and we are definitely thrilled to show the next chapter of this incredible artist’s riveting life with this new series,” said Jeff Olde, EVP, Original Programming and Production VH1. “T.I. is such a multi- talented artist and actor, and though he has had some setbacks, there is no doubt he will use his considerable talents to get back on top of both the music and film business.”

Amber Rose Vs VH1

Amber Rose Vs. VH1?
There were reports earlier this year that model/Wiz Khalifa boo-thang Amber Rose would be landing her own VH1 reality show. But the show never materialized. VH1 claimed they pulled the offer off of the table, but Rose is now saying that the show didn't happen because she didn't want it to.
"It sucks because it makes me look like I’m a liar, but I’m not," Rose said. "It was the fact that I didn’t like how they were going about doing my show. And a lot of times in TV, you know, they want you to be a certain way that you’re not. And I’m not the way that they wanted me to be, so I decided not to go with them. So when it came out and they said, you know, ‘we’re not having a show with Amber,’ it wasn’t them telling me….. it was me telling them."

"Watch the Throne" Not Dropping July 4

''Watch the Throne'' Not Dropping July 4
Reports hit the Internet yesterday (June 30) that the highly-anticipated Kanye West/Jay-Z collaborative album Watch the Throne would be released on July 4th. There was buzz that the album would be a digital-only released that would be made available on iTunes on Independence Day.
According to VH1, there is no truth to the rumors, however. "We spoke to sources close to Jay-Z's management team earlier today who have direct knowledge of the album's release plans, and they confirmed that the rumored July 4th release date is 'not happening,'" VH1 said via statement. "Sorry to ruin your holiday, folks!"
It has been reported that Jay and Kanye have completed recordings for the album.

Mashonda Leaving "Love & Hip Hop"

Mashonda Leaving ''Love & Hip Hop''
Mashonda revealed in a recent interview with Hip Hop Weekly that she will not be returning to the VH1 reality show "Love and Hip Hop." The former Mrs. Swizz Beatz says that she feels the show misrepresents her and she has no desire to be a part of anything associated with the typical reality show drama, i.e. catfights and bickering.
“I really honestly did do the show to help Emily [B.] and help women across the United States, to let them know that you’re not the only one that can go through something like this {divorce and heartbreak}," Mashonda said. "No matter what I say, it’s going to be judged at the hundredth power, people are just going to look at me and judge. People are going to say I’m too emotional, or I need to get over it, or I need to move on, I’m bitter. A lot of people were actually saying (I) was strong, (I) made it out classy, (I) did everything (I) could, but when you do a show, you have to know what’s coming next, a world full of judgment.”
“I just don’t feel like at this point in my life, 'Love and Hip Hop' represents who I am, it’s just a chapter that is over," she added. " When I shot the show, I thought that it was going to be like more of a sisterhood, but when I saw a lot of the drama and the beef, I was a little surprised, I was like wow, okay, I didn’t know this was going to be apart of what this is.”

Evelyn Lozada Wants $20k Raise

Evelyn Lozada Wants $20k Raise
Apparently the going rate to employ loud-mouthed basketball wives is $20,000 per episode, at least that’s what it’s going to cost VH1 to keep Evelyn Lozada.
According to TMZ, Evelyn is refusing to shoot the next season of “Basketball Wives” until the home of reality television, VH1, coughs up some serious dough. Considering that until recently, her latest claim to fame was being Shaunie’s sidekick, we think Evelyn might want to keep her mouth shut and collect those checks. Reportedly each ‘cast member’ currently receives $7,500 an episode.
