Royce On Yelawolf's Illness

Rapper Royce Da 5'9 of Slaughterhouse gave an update on the health of his Shady Records labelmate Yelawolf. Royce also took the time to praise Yela for his enthusiasm for performing--which the rapper says directly led to Yela's current hospital stint.

"I have [spoken] to him, I spoke to him, I called him and checked on him. I think he stage-dove or something like that," Royce da 5'9" told MTV News. "I don't know if people know this because Yelawolf is such a mild-mannered, laid-back kinda guy, but he gets real rowdy onstage and he doesn't mind putting his physical health in danger as well as the fans', which makes for a greater show. ... He's well, he's doing well -- He just had to cancel a couple of shows just so he could get right."

Gangsta Boo On Three Six Mafia:

Gangsta Boo shared her enthusiasm for having worked with Eminem and Yelawolf on Wolf's track "Throw It Up." The Memphis rapper says that she enjoyed collaborating with the Shady stars.

"There's a song I got on Yelawolf's new album featuring me and Eminem," she says. "I'm on the chorus. I wrote the chorus. I wrote my verse. Eminem shouted me out in his verse. I just think it's a dope ass song, a dope ass collaboration."

Gangsta Boo also discussed her history with Three Six Mafia, both the good and bad.

"I went to school with DJ Paul. He saw me rapping in a talent show...Everybody liked me. Paul kept asking me to be on more and more projects that led to me being in the group," she noted. "I was sixteen. I was young. It was fun. A lot of the sound you hear now is the sound that we created."

"I would have kept my publishing," she says. "I would have not mixed business with pleasure...It was more on some Biggie and Kim type sh*t [with DJ Paul]. That and before I had left the group, I would have advised Gangsta Boo to ride the wave a little more. But, I'm still here."

Machine Gun Kelly Addresses Yelawolf

Bad Boy rapper Machine Gun Kelly is addressing his supposed feud with Shady Records rhymer Yelawolf. Kelly reportedly had a problem with what he felt were subliminal disses in Wolf's BET Cypher freestyle and made it plain.

But now Kelly says its all a misunderstanding.

“[Do] I have a problem with Yelawolf? No. I don’t think Hip Hop needs that. I think it’s corny when it’s two white guys. Especially when we’re cut from the same type of cloth,” he said. “I think that I’m young and I’m wild and I say some things, things just fly out of my mouth that are taken a different way. The thing with Yelawolf didn’t start with the Cypher thing. It started with me doing an interview - more like multiple interviews. I always get the Yelawolf question, comparisons and stuff like that. You start answering in a different way - it’s hard to explain.”

Yelawolf On Possible B.o.B. Joint Mixtape:

Alabama rapper Yelawolf says that he could possibly be recording mixtape projects with fellow southern emcees B.o.B. and Big K.R.I.T. in the near future. He says that his schedule has made it difficult to get things worked out officially, but he wants to work with both rappers.

“Ah man, I would love to do some records with Bob, but dude is super busy," he says. "Now, I’m getting busier and busier so it’s just hard to make things like that happen. When me and K.R.I.T. were coming up with the concept to do a mixtape, we weren’t even on tour. We kind of let time just slip by and we just both got stupid busy. We’re still trying to make that happen. I think it’s going to happen. When, I don’t know, but him and I work really quick. K.R.I.T. makes crazy beats. He’s so super inspiring to be around. Once we lock down and work on it, it’ll get done pretty quick. For all the people waiting for it, it’ll be worth the wait. I’ll say that.”

“If we make something that feels like an album, then that’s something we’ll consider, to put it out on the shelves," he added. "But for now, in my mind, who knows? At first it was supposed to be for free. We might stick with that, or if we put together a project we feel is worth buying, we’ll put it on the shelves. Either way, it’s going to be banging.”

Yelawolf Rocks Brisk Bodega

Alabama rapper Yelawolf gave a stellar performance at the Brisk Bodega Gallery in New York City this weekend. The stage was decorated as an Eminem museum for the day, and was the perfect backdrop for a performance that night. Very appropriate for Shady Records' latest star.

Yela and hip hop supergroup Slaughterhouse both ripped the stage.

The two acts also performed their track "2.0 Boys" in tandem. Slaughterhouse also performed "Microphone" and "Sound Off."
