Here are a couple behind the scenes training photos for the SlickforceGirl project. In these shots I am being harnessed by Alex Wen & his stunt team to learn techniques essential to my character's prowess.
What is SlickforceGirl? I can't reveal that just yet. I can tell you, however, that this massive multimedia project is the brainchild of international photographer Nick Saglimbeni of Slickforce Studio. (Photographer for The Kardashians, with over 100 covers of various glamour, fashion, and mainstream publications)

VANESSA VEASLEY X ACE OF LA X BLKDMNDS “TAKE NOTES”
![]() |
Vanessa Veasley, Ace of LA, and BLKDMNDS team up to bring you the first girl vs. kicks shoot staring the illusive Yeezy 2 titled "Take Notes".
The Kanye West x Nike Air Yeezy 2 is the second installment of Nike's collaboration with Kanye West; three years after the original Air Yeezy marked the sneaker brand's first collaboration with a non-athlete. Love him or hate him, West sparked a global frenzy with this release. (& Yes, those are his design notes pictured)
Choosing Vanessa Veasley for this image was a no brainer as she has quickly become known for being the urban model with the most product collabs with skate, streetwear, & counter-culture lifestyle brands. She has also become a respected force behind the camera as well, art directing & consulting for budding and established brands.
Personally, Vanessa Veasley also looks up to Kanye West. "I've worked with him twice in my video vixen days ("Wouldn't Get Far" & "Amazing") & both times he had a polite yet commanding energy. I love that in a time when so many people love to tell others to "stay in their lane", he never has! It inspires me, respectively, not to stay in mine. To do me & expend as much creative energy I can in as many areas as my heart desires."

Cover Urban Ink Magazine Feat Prodigy Kitti Kouture, & Vanessa Veasley
Prodigy Urban Ink Cover
Shot by New York photographer Howard Huang, the upcoming cover of Urban Ink Magazine explores the good vs. evil that dwells within us all, but more specifically rapper Prodigy. Of the many magazines clamoring to interview Prodigy or review his new book, My Infamous Life: The Autobiography of Mobb Deep’s Prodigy, I'm glad that I could be a part of this cover. It may seem strange that I, having no tattoos, would be featured in an ink magazine, but as you see model Kitti Kouture and I are angelic and devilish adversaries... and angels, of course, don't have tattoos. Yeah. I'm a good girl. Hehehe... Anyway, peep the preview courtesy of AllHipHop and pick up the issue later this month!

Lunar eclipse + winter solstice = HISTORY 2nd Page Via Sci-fi Geek Vanessa Veasley
There are not many days like Tuesday, Dec. 21, 2010. Take it from people who know - astronomers. There was maybe one day like this Tuesday in the past 2,000 years.
On Tuesday morning, astronomers say, there will be - or depending on when this is read, was - a total eclipse of the moon. And on the very same day, the winter solstice arrives.
The last time the two celestial events occurred within the same calendar day was long before any of our lifetimes. The year, according to Geoff Chester, public affairs officer at the U.S. Naval Observatory, was 1638. Although the solstice does not always occur on the same date each year, the date in 1638 was the same as Tuesday's - Dec. 21.
Chester said he looked it up, because as the time of the two events drew nearer, people began to make inquiries of him. He said his research took him back to the year A.D. 1.
That seemed to be reasonably far back. He consulted "a number of well-respected sources." And his finding, essentially was this: "It's a comparatively rare event." Although it does not appear to have any cosmic significance.
Few alive today are likely to see a recurrence. The next time the winter solstice and a total lunar eclipse will occur on the same calendar day will be Dec. 21, 2094.
A total lunar eclipse occurs when the Earth blocks the sun's rays from the face of the moon. The moon is then fully in the shadow cast in space by the Earth.
The absolute midpoint of the eclipse will be at 3:17 EST Tuesday morning, Chester said.
The moon then continues moving through the Earth's shadow, emerging completely shortly after 5 a.m.
A slight effect known as the penumbral phase may be seen for as much as an hour longer. But it is generally considered too subtle for most people to notice.
The winter solstice, which occurs afterward, is the time when the sun reaches its lowest point in the northern sky.
That is the moment that many people consider to be the start of the winter season.
