will.i.am Addicted To Twitter?

Black Eyed Peas frontman/producer will.i.am may have an addiction to social media site Twitter. Singer Cheryl Cole says that will had to be prevented from tweeting while standing on stage behind Queen Elizabeth II at the Diamond Jubilee celebrations in London.
"I actually had to warn him as we walked on to the stage," she said, laughing. "He had the phone at the ready. I'm not joking, I had to say to him, 'Put that phone away right now before I kill you.'"
Cole shared the story during an appearance on The Graham Norton Show.

will.i.am Album Details Emerge

will.i.am has revealed that there will be a laundry list of A-list guest stars on his upcoming album #willpower. The rapper/producer has announced some of the guests on the project; he's already released the single "T.H.E." with Mick Jagger and Jennifer Lopez.
"#willpower is just a reminder to myself of staying contestant with the dream – keeping the dream alive," he explained. "It was all a dream when I was 15 years old – 20 years later I managed to take the dream from an idea to physicality. So #willpower is uplifting songs, encouragement for those that need it."
"I have a song with Alicia Keys – me, Alicia and Swedish House Mafia," he continued. "I have a song with The Beats, which is pretty grand. Me and Shakira have been trying to finish the stuff we started, and me and Britney is really crazy."
"So we got a song with me, LMFAO and Eva Simons," will added. "A song with me and Busta Rhymes and Swizz Beatz. I got a whole other bunch of collaborations."

Nicki Minaj Wins Big At AMAs

The 2011 American Music Awards had a lot of glitz and glamour, but very little of the cache that the show once claimed in its heyday. Nicki Minaj, Taylor Swift and Jennifer Lopez were the big winners at the show, which featured a somewhat surprising number of no-shows this year.
Jennifer Lopez and Pitbull performed their club hit "On the Floor" and Lopez also performed with will.i.am on his new track "THE (The Hardest Ever.)" Nicki beat out Kanye West & Jay-Z to take home 'Best Hip Hop Album' for her 2010 debut Pink Friday. The Young Money diva also won 'Best Hip Hop Artist' gave one of the show's earliest performances, taking the stage alongside David Guetta to perform "Super Bass" and "Turn Me On."
Chris Brown, who was introduced by 50 Cent, also gave a high-tech performance of his hits "All Back” and “Say It With Me." Pop superstar Justin Bieber gave a somewhat-awkward Christmas-themed performance.
Jay-Z and Kanye were not in attendance, nor was Rihanna; as these artists were all on tours. Beyonce also did not attend. Both Rihanna and Beyonce won awards, however: Rihanna took home Favorite Soul/R&B Album for Loud and BeyoncĂ© won Favorite Soul/R&B Female artist.
Sean Kingston also made an appearance--his first major appearance since recovering from a jet ski accident this summer.

will.i.am Prepping New Solo Album

will.i.am Prepping New Solo Album
Black Eyed Peas rapper/producer will.i.am is restarting his solo career. Will has announced that he plans to release a solo project called Black Einstein while the Peas are on hiatus.
Its his second official solo album, following 2007s somewhat disappointing Songs About Girls. He also released a compilation album in 2001.
There is no current release date for Black Einstein. Fergie did confirm that Will was working on the project--which could be close to completion. "I believe Will is coming out with a solo album," Fergie told Hollyscoop. "I've heard it, it's called Black Einstein, and it's amazing. I've been waiting for him to come out with this for so long, 'cause I want it. He won't give it to me. I want it for the gym. He's so amazing. Such a genius lyricist and I'm really excited for his project.”

Bin Laden Dead: Hip Hop Reacts

Bin Laden Dead: Hip Hop Reacts
The world was stunned by the news late Sunday (May 1) night that al-Qaeda figurehead Osama Bin Laden had been killed. President Barack Obama addressed the announcement. "Tonight I can report to the American people and the world the United States has conducted an operation that has killed Osama Bin Laden," President Obama said. "Today, at my direction, the U.S. launched a targeted operation against that compound. A small team of Americans carried out the operation with extraordinary courage and capability. No Americans were harmed."
Various hip hop artists reacted via Twitter, with responses that ranged from skepticism to fear to ambivalence.
"Osama dead!?!" Lupe Fiasco tweeted. "Afghan operation done now!?? Now kill wack schools and US imperialism."
"I'm in Korea right now watching CNN and I just heard Osama Bin Laden is dead," will.I.am tweeted. "USA is at it again, number one in the rankings of killing championships. Stealing the gold in the murder Olympics and the crowd goes wild!" added Chuck D.
"They are saying Bin Laden is dead, I need to see the body," Jermaine Dupri tweeted.
"Don't nobody care about no Bin Laden death," tweeted Royce da 5'9.
"So I just landed and heard this Bin Laden news," Just Blaze tweeted. "That's cool and all but I feel like this is only gonna rile them al-Qaeda boys up crazy…Like 'Oh you just killed the boss? OK check this out. We's blown up evvvvverything! Hide ya kids hide ya wife!"

will.i.am On Hygiene

will.i.am On Hygiene:
will.i.am revealed what he considers 'deal-breakers' when it comes to the woman he's dating and he had some interesting stuff to say. After explaining to ELLE that he doesn't want to see condoms at a woman's house, he moved to the bathroom. The Black Eyed Peas' frontman hates wet sinks, apparently.
"You don’t wipe the sink after you use it?" will said. "Dry it off! And if she’s got only dry toilet paper and no baby wipes next to the toilet. You ain’t got no baby wipes?"
He's went into semi-gross detail about the baby wipes.
"Here’s proof on why people should have baby wipes," he said. "Get some chocolate, wipe it on a wooden floor, and then try to get it up with some dry towels. You’re going to get chocolate in the cracks. That’s why you gotta get them baby wipes."
