Titus Franklin, an associate of Lil Boosie, has been denied bail following accusations of attempting to smuggle codeine into Angola prison on behalf of the incarcerated rapper. During an investigation into threats against Boosie lead prosecutor Hillar Moore, undercover officers conducted surveillance on Franklin and another man accused of attempting to smuggle the drug into prison.
A judge has denied Franklin's request for bail and ordered him to prison immediately. Franklin has been in prison for numerous felony drug offenses. According to prosecutors, he has posted over $450,000 in bail money for at least six separate drug cases over a two-year span.
Boosie went to prison for drug and weapons possession, but has since been indicted for first-degree murder and could face the death penalty for his role in a murder-for-hire plot.
