Ryan Leslie has been hit with a lawsuit over the reward for a stolen laptop that the singer/songwriter lost in Germany in 2010. When the computer was stolen from his Mercedes while he was traveling in Cologne, he tweeted a reward offer of $25,000 for the laptop, which had several of his latest productions on it.
The reward was eventually raised to $1 million.
But a lawsuit filed yesterday (October 24) in New York by Armin Augstein claims that Ryan Leslie reneged on his agreement to pay the reward, Augstein's lawyers say that the lawsuit was filed to force the producer to pay.
“It’s unfortunate that my client has to go to such lengths to recover the reward,” said Augstein's attorney Michael Fischman.
