Rapper T.I. has decided to address the ongoing Web speculation surrounding the incident involving him and mogul Diddy at Atlanta's Compound nightclub this past weekend. T.I. diffused an altercation between Diddy and some club patrons, but some have interpreted it as a conflict between the two superstars. T.I. says that couldn't be further from the truth.
"I've been seeing a lot of embellishment going on online," Tip explained in an interview. "First of all, me and Puff, we go way, way back. That's like a brother to me. So whatever was said by me was said out of love. I made no attempt to belittle him or to check him. Puff's a grown man, he do what he want to do. I just felt it was necessary for me to separate for myself from the situation that was going on, just so people knew that I wasn't involved because of my personal circumstances. That's the kind of activity that I can't afford to engage in right now."
"We spoke that night, spoke the next day, spoke today. Me and Puff, we like brothers," he added. "We cool, we good. He one of the first people on his level to reach down to me when no one knew who T.I. was. He's always been very supportive and just an extreme example of how to get where I'm trying to be."

THE TONGUE IS A DANGEROUS WEAPON...PPL HAS NOTHING BETTER TO DO W/ THEIR TIME. THAN, TO SPREAD RUMORS/SPECULATE.I APPLAUD T.I FOR ADDRESSING THE ISSUE LIKE A KING! I HOPE PPL WILL LEAVE THIS BE AND LET MAN AND HIS FAMILY LIVE!#AFANSINCEDAY1...PRANCINA B.
DIDNT HE JUST COME HOME WOW PEOPLE JUST DONT EVER LEARN YOU NO HOW MANY PEOPLE WISH THEY WERE THAT BLESSED LIKE HIM I TELL YOU SOME PEOPLE ARE VERY UNGRATEFULL!
You did the right thing TIP, that's all they want to do is keep bulls#$t going, for real they need to talk about why the kill Troy Davis, let them talk about that!
Damn. T.I. needs to take an English class or two. Who speaks that way. I like his music but seriously, learn to speak....and this has NOTHING to do with race. I'm a black man myself who grew up in the ghetto and know there are plenty of famous and not so famous black males who actually speak the language the way it was meant to be spoken. Saddest thing is that our youth looks up to people like this and think to "Make it" you have to speak this way.
Amen to the Anonymous comment about learning how to speak properly! if only more rappers, entertainers, and athletes would take the time to put a proper sentence together...
Diddy was a hoe that night for treating that guy like that, he thinks he's better than everybody who not on his level (financially) somebody should've checked him ...
in TI'S defense thats right let niccas be niccas...to the comment that believe he can't speak well watch some of his interviews he is one of the well spoken ones...js
Agreed.. TI is very articulate. That is one thing I have always admired about him. But like most people, he can change his grammar to suit his surroundings.
To these people out here talking about learn to speak. Get the fuck outta here, let that man speak the way he wants to speak. Who gives a fuck? Don't get it twisted. our people not from this country anyway so fuck english and fuck you!!!
True. They may have been run on sentences but they make far more sense than T.I's quote. As far as articulate and educated goes, take a look at an interview or quote by Common. That's a REAL representation of an articulate and educated Black Man and what our young black youth should strive to mimic.....I hope these sentences aren't too long for you to follow.
#1 Diddy T.I. Isn't about to be around u and your entourage doing drugs we all knew you sniff powder. T.I just got out of prison and he can not be around that kind of activity. Futhermore he also will not pledge for Illuminati he can be successful without sacrificing himself for all that like all these other artist out here. Much respect T.I.
You people don't know shit because TI is from Atl so obviously he's going to talk with a southern ascent. Just because he has a bad reputation right now doesn't mean Puff would put him down. Puff knows talent. If any of you people read you'd see that they are very close. Mind u NONE OF YOU WAS THERE. So like Ti said he didn't disrespect Puff. He was making sure Puff was ok. That's what brothers do for each other when they see something wrong each other.
