?uestlove Finishing D'Angelo Album

Drummer/producer ?uestlove shared a few details about the upcoming album from soul recluse D'Angelo. ?uest is producing the project, which is D'Angelo's first official album in twelve years. D'Angelo is also prepping to go on a European tour in late January.

“I’m on his record as well,” ?uestlove shared with The Juice. “He’s in the home-stretch right now. I know that Fred Wesley and the JB Horns just did a cut that Q-Tip did; I know he’s doing his vocals right now.”

D'Angelo was one of the most acclaimed artists in neo soul before industry pressures and drug addiction sent his career into an indefinite silence.

“He’s just finishing his lyrics now. He needs somebody to smack him and take the record away from him, because it’s pretty much finished,” ?uest added.
