Singer Ne-Yo announced earlier this week that his upcoming album would be called The R.E.D. Album, much to the confusion of hip hop fans who recalled that rapper Game released his own R.E.D. Album in the fall of 2011. Game himself addressed the name change in an interview and said he was basically confused by the title.
“I don't know what that’s about, but I’ve always known Ne-Yo to be a cool dude, so I’m pretty sure he got his reasoning,” he explained. “More power to the lil’ homie.”
Game was expected by many to take exception to Ne-Yo borrowing his name. Ne-Yo hasn't revealed exactly why he chose the exact same title for his album.
