Miami Heat superstar LeBron James is being sued by an Atlanta nightclub that claims LBJ reniged on a promise to appear on March 17. James was scheduled to appear at Atlanta's Opera for $25,000. But James canceled the appearance and opted to appear that night at the Gold Club instead.
Opera is suing James and the Gold Room and a hearing on the request for a temporary restraining order and a preliminary injunction is set for Thursday in Fulton Superior Court. "We want to make sure LeBron doesn’t show up any place else," Yasha Heidari, the attorney for the Opera, told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
The suit alleges that Awesomelife, LeBron's company, and his agent took a $12,500 only to inform Opera two days later that James 'did not want to make the appearance.' The agent then told Opera that the Gold Room wanted LeBron to renege on the agreement and appear at their club instead. The agent demanded $6,000 to ensure James would still appear at Opera.
After taking $3,000, the agent subsequently informed Opera that LeBron would still not be appearing at their nightclub.
