Rihanna On Competitiveness

Pop superstar Rihanna admitted, during an interview with talk show host Jonathan Ross, that the females currently dominating the musical landscape are all driven by competitiveness. Rih-Rih revealed that the desire to one-up each other is what pushes these starlets creatively. [WatchRihanna Interview Here]
"It will always be a competition and that’s why I feel like women are becoming so dominant in music right now because we’re very competitive beings and we cannot stand to see another woman do better than us," she says. "That bothers us a lot. As much as you guys have egos, our egos are a little bigger. We’re just a lot better at hiding them."
So that's why Beyonce, Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, Adele, Nicki Minaj, Taylor Swift and Rih are all fighting near the top these days?

DMX's Dream Collaborators Are...?

Rapper DMX is no stranger to collaboration. As the Dark Man X continues his musical comeback, he spoke up in a recent interview about which female vocalists he would like to record with in the future. X told XXL that there are two British singers from two different generations that he wouldn't mind getting next to in the studio.
"Sade and Adele," X said. And he gave a very honest response when asked about Adele, in particular.
"I love chubby girls," he said. "I love her."
Doesn't everybody love her right now?

Adele Gets A Little Gangsta?

British soul singer Adele showed she isn't always as adorable and accommodating. During the BRIT Awards, as she was accepting her award for "Album of the Year' for her smash 21, the star was cut off after only a few seconds of her speech.
She took the cue to get off stage, but not before flipping the finger, M.I.A.-style.
“I was cut off during my speech, but I wanted to thank the British public for all their support," she said later. "I was held up with my voice and troubles, but the album kept walking without me. I flipped the bird for the suits at the BRITS who cut me off. Sorry if I offended anyone but it was for them, not for the fans.”

Adele On Her Ex-Boyfriend

Still basking in the glow of her seven Grammy wins, Adele opened up in a recent issue of VOGUE about the ex-boyfriend that inspired the heartache on her acclaimed album 21. The British soul singer says that she's no longer bitter, and thanks him for inspiring her artistic triumph.
You know, he was amazing. He was great," she says. "But it was never going to work. And for ages I was like, As if he deserves any f-cking kudos for inspiring my record. But now, after some time, it only seems right that the person who so far has had the biggest impact on me—has now changed my life for f-cking ever with this album—deserves a little credit. I can do things that I never dreamed I’d be able to do. If I hadn’t met him, I think I’d still be that little girl I was when I was eighteen. And the best thing is, I now know what I want for myself and from someone else. I didn’t know what I wanted before.”
But she says guys shouldn't be worried that she's scarred.
"Come on! I’m wifey material! I’m great," said Adele. "No one’s got to be brave. It’s not like, ‘You f**k me over and I’m going to write a record and make you the most hated man in the world.’ I am never writing a breakup record again, by the way. I’m done with being a bitter witch”

Kanye, Adele Win Big At Grammys

The 54th Annual Grammy Awards were as memorable as ever, with a somber cloud hanging over the entire ceremony in the wake of the sudden death of superstar vocalist Whitney Houston the day before the big show. Several artists paid tribute to the late singer, including Jennifer Hudson performing an emotional and subdued rendition of Houston's hit "I Will Always Love You." LL Cool J also said a prayer in memory of Houston.
“Heavenly father, we thank you for sharing our sister Whitney with us,” LL said. “Today our thoughts are with her mother her daughter and all of her loved ones. Although she is gone too soon, we remain truly blessed to have been touched by her beautiful spirit and to have the legacy of her music to cherish and share forever.”
Kanye West took home three major awards, including Best Rap Performance, Best Rap Collaboration (with Rihanna, Fergie, Elly Jackson and Elton John for "All of the Lights") and his acclaimed album My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy won Best Rap Album.
Young Money was well-represented, even though no one took home any awards. Lil Wayne performed a rave-style tribute to dance music alongside Chris Brown, David Guetta, Deadmau5 and Foo Fighters' frontman Dave Grohl; and Drake introduced his labelmate Nicki Minaj. Nicki then gave what had to be the night's most talked-about performance, a bizarre exorcism-themed rendition of her single "Roman Holiday."
But the night's biggest winner was British soul singer Adele, who took home seven Grammys for her album 21 and for her smash single "Rolling In the Deep."

Big Sean Wants Adele

Big Sean Wants Adele?
Big Sean expressed his admiration for soul singer Adele in a recent interview. The G.O.O.D. Music rapper praised Adele's music and voice, gushing over how great she is and how she's 'unmatched' in current music. He even said he'd go out with the vocalist.
"I'd really like to work with Adele. She never compromises her sound for anything. She reminds me of Motown and it's straight number one. Her voice is unmatched and it's the sort of music people sample - the best ever," Sean said. "I love Adele, I love her so much. I know she's my age, I would even date her."
Smells like a collaboration for that sophomore album, Sean.
