"106 & Park" Hosts Announce Departure

"106 & Park" hosts Terrence J and Rocsi have confirmed that they are indeed leaving the popular BET program. The duo officially announced their departure on Tuesday (May 29th) after some speculation for a couple of weeks about their future.

"The first day I cracked the mic on 106, I was staying on a cot in a basement," said Terrence, with Rocsi adding, "Until the moment we leave, we pledge to bring you young Black culture. It continues to be our honor to do this for you."

"Today, after seven exciting years, '106 & Park' hosts Terrence J and Rocsi announced that they will be leaving the show. It is no secret that there are a number of opportunities coming their way and we’re fortunate that they’ve been with '106 & Park' for so long," said BET President of Music Programming & Specials, Stephen Hill. "They will be staying on the show for a while, so that we can have a 'victory lap' — a celebration of their years at the helm of 106 & Park — before their departure. Terrence J and Rocsi are destined for great success and we at BET Networks will always take pride in being their original home — and be a place where I hope they’ll always feel welcome."

"We are humbled at the opportunity to be a part of your lives," Terrence said during the show. "We have a huge farewell show coming for you guys. We're going to be leaving with a bang."

Rocsi & Eddie Murphy Dating For Months?

Rocsi and Eddie Murphy made headlines last week when they were spotted grabbing coffee and looking decidedly cozy on Los Angeles' Westside, but it has reportedly been denied that the two are dating. Of course, there are stories beginning to surface that suggest otherwise.

Reportedly, the two have been seeing each other for close to a month. Murphy reportedly flew the BET star to the Bahamas for a weekend.

Rocsi has also relocated to Los Angeles now that she's leaving BET's New York-based "106 & Park." She moved to focus on her acting career...among other things.

Terrence J & Rosci Leaving "106 & Park"

"106 & Park" hosts Terrence J. and Rocsi will both likely be moving on in the very near future. While no official timetable has been announced, the two hosts are likely to be leaving to pursue other career interests. Rocsi Diaz is leaving the popular countdown show to pursue an acting career, according to the New York Post.

And Terrence J. is planning to pursue his burgeoning Hollywood career and will be relocating to the West Coast.

Both have been hosting "106 & Park" since 2006, when they became the long-term replacements from original hosts Free and AJ Calloway--displacing Big Tigger and Julissa Bermudez, who hosted the show for one season.

Terrence J Tweets His Gratitude

"106 & Park" host Terrence J took a moment to express his gratitude for his career up to this point. The TV personality, who has also branched out into acting, shared his joy with his followers and sounded stunned by how far he's come in just a few short years.

"The fact that I can get Russell, Puff, or Denzel on the horn if I wanted to still freaks me out to this day," he posted. "Damn, life is crazy. It feels like I was just in NC dreaming about this. Now I’m packing for LA to attend my 1st movie premiere. Still can’t believe this."

"Sometimes I look at my girl & I just can’t believe it," he continued. "I can’t believe this is my life. I’m so thankful. Sometimes its overwhelming. People will always have something to say. As long as my moms good, bills paid & team is eating nothing else matters. Not even a little."

"I guess my point is, if I can live my dreams so can you," Terrence J added. "Dream big. As big as u can. Don’t let anything stop you."

Selita Ebanks and Terrence J?

"106 & Park" host Terrence J and Victoria's Secret model Selita Ebanks could be a little more than friends. The two have been spotted randomly at events as far back as October, when they partied with a group of celebrity friends at Happy Endings Lounge in New York City. The two were rumored to be cozy back then, sticking to each other like glue even amongst a group of famous buddies like Estelle and Natasha Bedingfield.

Last night (Janaury 19) Terrence turned up at the Selita-hosted 401 Greene Photography & Fashion auction in Soho, which has gotten the Web rocking with rumors that they may gettin' it in.

While many reports are claiming that the two were at the venue 'together,' it should be noted that they made a point to be photographed separately.

Which is, of course, the oldest trick in the 'we're dating on the low' handbook.

Rocsi and J. Prince?

The rumor mill is buzzing over reports that "106 & Park" host Rocsi Diaz has found a new boo. And word on the street is its Rap-A-Lot founder J. Prince. TheJasmineBrand claims that the two have been spotted together.

Rocsi and Prince were allegedly together at Stadium in D.C. and the sexy hostess was reportedly 'All over J. Prince.'

Rocsi has also been linked to singer/songwriter Bruno Mars and had a spat with rapper Webbie after he sexually-harassed during a taping for "106 & Park."

Webbie continues to prove just how 'lil' he is, maturity-wise. The rapper that was banned from BET after sexually-harassing "106 & Park" host Rocsi was asked about the ongoing controversy and quickly dismissed the host's claims that he harassed her.

He then proceeded to explain what kind of 'b*tch' he and his 'dogs' are looking for.

"Ah, I ain't thinking about that girl, man," Webbie said in an interview. "Savage Life 3, Savage Life 3, it's on. I'm here with my dogs, I'm here with my dogs. We're here tripping out. Terrence J Likes Cougars?

In a recent interview, "106 & Park" host Terrence J revealed that he is a fan of cougars. The personality/host/actor says that older women have a certain appeal and he enjoys the fact that they seem to be more comfortable with themselves.

"I dig mature women," Terrence says. "I dig a woman that knows what she wants, that’s comfortable in her skin and confident with her swag. Older women have been able to fulfill that."

He revealed, however, that he's currently dating a 'younger' woman.

"I’m dating a girl that’s younger. She’s not much younger but she’s 28 and I’m 29 so she’s younger than me,” he shared. "She’s an amazing person. I just think timing is everything. It can be the perfect person, but if it’s not the perfect time then it’s not going to work."
