Floyd Mayweather Heads To Jail
![]() |
Boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr., close personal friend to hip hop superstar 50 Cent, has reported to his jail cell today (June 1st) to begin serving a three month stint in prison for pleading guilty to domestic battery charges. Mayweather is expected to be released early for good behavior, barring any incidents.
Mayweather reportedly assaulted the mother of his three children in September 2010.
50 Cent has not commented on his friend's prison stint recently. The two downplayed rumors that there was animosity between them this week.

Akinyele Opens Vegas Strip Club
![]() |
Queens rapper Akinyele has taken his reputation for raunchy raps and focused his talents on opening a successful strip club. The rhymer and his business partners opened Lollypop's, a gentleman's club on the Las Vegas strip.
Ak claims the club, which opened the week of the Mayweather/Cotto fight, made $5 million in its opening weekend.
“We decided to officially launch Lollypop's and align ourselves during the Mayweather vs. Cotto fight weekend and I can proudly say there are now two winners,” Akinyele told Allhiphop. “We’ve been thrilled and amazed to see lines of both men and women still coming at 8 a.m. and this has been every single night, better yet morning I should say, over the past 10 days."
Fellow hip hop stars DJ Whoo Kid and Don Cannon have already done some DJing at the club.

50 Cent Explains Weezy/Floyd Connection
![]() |
Boxing fans have grown accustomed to rapper 50 Cent hanging out with champ Floyd Mayweather in the ring, but during Mayweather's last fight, pop star Justin Bieber and rapper Lil Wayne were also in the ring. Weezy's presence raised some eyebrows considering his history of rivalry with 50, but 50 Cent explained why both stars being alongside he and Floyd makes sense.
"Floyd has a huge passion for music that people don't know about," 50 explained. "It's a big part of what makes him comfortable and takes his mind off of how hard he has to work to stay being the #1 fighter in the world. With Wayne's music momentum, he's a part of that; he's been a part of the playlist, so it's cool."
"The pictures, when I'm not paying attention, they take some really weird facial expressions of me," he said of his appearing angry in the pics with Floyd and Weezy. "I'm like, 'What the f--- was I thinking at that point?' It's nothing there to make me feel uncomfortable."

50 Cent Doubts Birdman's Bet?
![]() |
50 Cent told Yahoo about the the money he has riding on his hometown New York Giants in tonight's Super Bowl and clarified a weird Twitter rumor about him supposedly going nude if Eli Manning and Co. lost the big game. "This is what happens," 50 Cent explained. "People say really crazy things on my Twitter, and I say, 'Okay,' so my fans can see what crazy people are saying." About the money, 50 said, "I won [five hundred-thousand] on a bet on the last Giants game. So I said I'll bet it back. ...It would just be risking what I won the first time."50 also expressed some doubt about Cash Money head Bryan "Birdman/Baby" Williams' alleged $5 million bet on the New England Patriots. "Baby has said he has five million dollars on the Patriots. I think he just was passionate about the Patriots winning and he just said that. I don't think he would actually bet five million dollars," 50 said. |
50 Cent & Floyd Mayweather Stop Traffic
![]() |
Rap superstar 50 Cent and WBC welterweight champion Floyd Mayweather apparently caused quite a stir in Indianapolis during Super Bowl weekend festivities. The buddies drove through town on a large bus covered with Mayweather's image and Twitter name. Mayweather would lean through his window at intersections and the scene immediately turned into pandemonium with fans scrambling to meet the famous riders. "Every time it stopped, the traffic would immediately begin to back up because cars couldn't get around," said onlooker Gregg Kiesler, 23, from Indianapolis. "For the most part Mayweather stayed well inside, but a couple of times he leaned out and spoke with the fans. It didn't take long for the cars to be backed up in every direction and there were times when the roads were packed in every direction and no one could move." |

50 Cent Got Mayweather's Son Tattoos?
![]() |
Rapper 50 Cent and boxer Floyd Mayweather are good friends. Such good friends, apparently, that Floyd let 50 take his 13-year old son to get tattoos up and down his arms at 2:30 am. The two went back-and-forth on Twitter about the incident and it was unclear if Floyd was angry or joking when Fiddy posted the pic of Koraun's new tats on Twitter. "What the hell is wrong with @50cent got my son hanging out getting tattoos at 2:30am on a school night," Mayweather tweeted. To which 50 responded: "Man @FloydMayweather mad at me I took his son to the tattoo spot. He’s 13 he’s a big boy MONEY TEAM." When was it okay for a 7th grade-age kid to get a tattoo? And its hard to tell if Fiddy and Floyd were messing around or if there may be a major beef brewing amongst the "Money Team." Stay tuned. |

Manny Pacquiao accepts Floyd Mayweather's latest challenge
Pacquiao has 54 wins and three defeats in 59 fights, with 38 knockouts
Manny Pacquiao has accepted Floyd Mayweather's challenge for a showdown in May, but barriers remain in the way of a possible super-fight.
On Wednesday, Mayweather demanded Pacquiao "give the world what they want to see" and agree to a bout on 5 May.
And while Pacquiao said he wanted the fight, he said he favours a date in late May and suggested Mayweather could not guarantee his side of the purse.
"This is the fight the world wants," said Philippine superstar Pacquiao.
"[But] Mayweather wants a guaranteed purse so what he has to do is get a promoter who can give him the guarantee.
"I don't have problems getting a guarantee because I have a promoter who will give me my guaranteed purse.

"If he gets a guarantee, then we are going to share the revenue on a 50-50 basis."
Pacquiao's promoter Bob Arum added: "There is no problem on our part - the problem is on Mayweather's.
"Mayweather needs somebody on his side that's going to guarantee his purse. Mayweather has nobody on his side and GBP (Oscar de la Hoya's Golden Boy Promotions) is not going to guarantee his purse."
Arum and Pacquiao's financial advisor, Michael Koncz, want a bout in late May to coincide with the completion of a 45,000-seater arena in Las Vegas.
The MGM Grand, where Mayweather is booked to fight on 5 May, has a capacity of only 17,000 and Koncz claims an additional $30m (£13m) could be raised if the bout took place in the new venue.
"Why would I tell Manny to fight on 5 May and throw away a percentage of $30m? That's crazy," said Koncz.
BEN DIRS' BLOG
Continue reading the main story"This was boxing's big chance to emerge from the slump. If the dunces can't sort this mess out, many will think the sport is not worth forgiving."
Read Ben's blog when the last Mayweather/Pacquiao fight collapsedLast week, five-weight world champion Mayweather had a 90-day jail term deferred so that he could fulfil a pre-arranged date at the MGM Grand. He will now begin his sentence on 1 June.
The WBC welterweight champion subsequently used his Twitter account to challenge Pacquiao.
"Step up Punk," said the undefeated American. "Manny Pacquiao I'm calling you out let's fight May 5 and give the world what they want to see (sic)."
A year ago, talks failed when Pacquiao, 33, pulled out after Mayweather demanded random drugs tests before the bout.
At the time Arum called Mayweather "a psychological coward who doesn't want to fight anybody who has a chance of beating him", and predicted the bout would never take place.
But if the purse on offer matches the £25m-per-fighter deal that was rumoured to be on offer last year, the biggest payday in boxing history may prove persuasive.
Arum insisted that if there was to be no fight in late May against the American then he would move forward with a Pacquiao clash on 9 June against someone else.
He listed a rematch against Mexico's Juan Manuel Marquez or Puerto Rican southpaw Miguel Cotto, as well as Americans Tim Bradley and Lamont Peterson, as potential alternatives.
Seven-weight world champion Pacquiao fought Marquez for a third time in November and retained his WBO title, although, as with the previous two fights, the decision was a controversial one.
Mayweather, who turns 35 next month, won the WBC title with a fourth-round knockout of compatriot Victor Ortiz in September.

Lil Kim's Assistant Speaks For Her?
![]() |
Lil Kim's devoted fanbase seems to have finally gotten frustrated with the Queen Bee. The source of her fan's ire was twofold: Kim promised a new mixtape around New Year's that never materialized--continuing a long string of, well, not releasing music; and Kim voiced support for boxer Floyd Mayweather, who pleaded guilty to domestic abuse charges after he was accused of punching his ex in front of their children. Kim's assistant, Noel, hopped on Twitter to fight back the backlash. "Wait wait wait. im not about 2 sit up here & get attacked. @LilKim is a human being w/ a personal life & friends like we are. Loyal, caring.," Noel tweeted. "@LilKim has been thru a similar situation & her good friend needed her thru a rough time & she is there to support & help him thru it." "@LilKim has been busy over there & still has u guys in her heart & mind. its still coming but things need to be right & timing as well." the rant continued. "It wasnt our place 2 say cause' its floyds situation. i guess they wanted 2 be private. i really do apologize 4 the delay. it will work out." "@HOVBLANCO it was going to be a holiday ep. she announced that before she spoke with floyd & had to do what she had to do with him," added Noel. "@AyeGeee i never acted oblivious. i never said a date or nothing. i said kim would give yall more info when she could & she will." "@AyeGeee i understand. & trust me @LilKim loves u guys soooooooo much. u have no idea. she lives & breathes u guys but she is a true artist," says Noel. |

Victor Ortiz Recording With Ray J
![]() |
Ray J may be buddies with boxer Floyd Mayweather, but the man Mayweather defeated two weeks ago is collaborating with Ray J on a new song. In a strange turn of events the R&B singer/reality star and the boxer have recorded a song together. The two have teamed to record a new song titled “Baddest Girl.” DJ Ian Carey released the track, which features Ray J. singing and Victor Ortiz rapping. Ray J partied with Mayweather following his bout against Ortiz two weeks ago and was involved in an altercation with rapper Fabolous. |
