Ma$e Hints At New Deal

Veteran hip hop star Ma$e has been quietly prepping for a re-emergence over the past several months. There were rumors the former Bad Boy Records rapper would be joining Rick Ross' Maybach Music Group, but a tweet posted by Ma4e last night (June 5th) indicates that he could be landing elsewhere.
"Wow... I just got a G.O.O.D. offer!!!," he tweeted June 5th, hinting at a possible deal with Kanye West's G.O.O.D. Music imprint.
The tweet comes a little less than 48 hours after Ma$e took the stage at Hot 97's Summer Jam as an unexpected guest alongside French Montana, Wale and G.O.O.D. Music's Big Sean.

Ma$e's Advice To 2 Chainz

2 Chainz gushed about a phone call from hip hop veteran Ma$e and the advice the former Bad Boy Records star gave 2 Chainz about his burgeoning hip hop career. Ma$e reportedly passed on some words that he himself and learned from the late Notorious B.I.G.
"A legend hit me the other day," Chainz said in an interview with radio host Big Boy. "This my first time putting it in an interview. But Ma$e hit me the other day and told me he was a fan of my music, dog. And then he told me something that Biggie said and I felt like Biggie told it to me. ... Biggie told Ma$e at the time they was popping, whatever, he said, 'Get it while you can and can it when you get it.' And I was like, it felt like Biggie had told me. That phone call just meant so much. Stuff like that lets me know I'm covering ground."

Ma$e Owes Millions In Tax Debt

Rapper Ma$e may quietly be on the comeback trail, but he has to clear up some past issues before moving forward. The former Bad Boy Records star reportedly owes the IRS almost $125,000 in back taxes. The IRS filed documents in Florida against the rapper born Mason Betha.
Ma$e has been making headlines regarding what may be the star's latest comeback attempt. He's been spotted in the studio with singer Omarion and rumored to possibly may be signing with Rick Ross' Maybach Music Group.
This latest snag is a reflection of his years still signed to Diddy's label, however. According to TMZ, Ma$e owes $124,774.85 from the years 2000, 2001 and 2004.

Cam'ron Ghostwrote "Crush On You?"

Cam'ron Ghostwrote ''Crush On You?''
Rapper Cam'ron recently revealed that he had a hand in penning Lil Kim's 1997 smash "Crush On You." Specifically, Cam says that he ghostwrote Lil Cease's lines for the song and was paid to do so by Ma$e. Ma$e, incidentally, had been paid by Lance "Un" Rivera, Kim's labelhead at the time, to do some ghostwriting.
"What happened was, Un gave Mase $30,000 to write five songs for Lil Cease at that time and Ma$e gave me $5,000 of the 30 to write one or two of the songs," he said. "I wrote the 'Crush on You' song and they ended up keeping it for Lil Kim album but it was really for Lil Cease. The original 'Crush on You' is all Lil Cease, Lil Kim isn't even on the record."

Jim Jones Open To Reuniting With Ma$e

Jim Jones Open To Reuniting With Ma$e
Jim Jones recently revealed that he was open to reconnecting with his old friend Ma$e. Jones and his fellow Dipset cohorts grew up in Harlem with Ma$e, but disputes between Dipset leader Cam'ron and the former Bad Boy star led to estrangement. But Jones says he has no ill will towards the man born Mason Betha, who famously walked away from hip hop to pursue ministry.
"I haven't seen Betha or any sh*t like that," Jones told SOHH. "But you know, it would be good to see Betha. Maybe we could go and play basketball with him or something because I ain't seen Betha in a minute. We all came from the same hood, above all. Money sometimes separates the closest of friends but we grown at this point. I ain't got nothing against Betha."
