Charli Baltimore Revisits G-Unit Feud

There was a time in hip hop when 50 Cent's G-Unit and Ja Rule's Murder Inc. camp were embroiled in one of the most talked-about hip hop feuds of the past decade. Former Murder, Inc. affiliate Charli Baltimore discussed the old animosity and revealed that, despite her label association, she didn't really have an issue with 50 Cent.
"I don't even know him, I just kind of got pushed into it by default," Baltimore said. "I never met him one time in my life -- I was with my clique, so it was what it was. It wasn't anything personally going on, so I get it."
She explained to This Is 50 that she hadn't even kept up with 50's disses.
"I don't know which one, it was a few," she added. "You know, I was with Black Wall Street for a while. [laughs] That sh*t is so old. Yeah, so old."

Ja Rule's Enjoying Jail?

Ja Rule is still serving a two year sentence for weapons possession at the Mid-State Correctional Facility. But while he surely looks forward to getting out of there, it seems like the rapper has adjusted to his circumstances rather easily. Ja shared his experiences in his latest prison letter and revealed that he's been making friends.
His new buddies are "Hevey D" aka disgraced pol Alan Hevesi and "Koz" aka Dennis Kozlowski, from whom Ja has been receiving stock tips.
"Outside, you don't meet guys like this every day. This place is amazing," Ja Rule told the Daily News. "Koz just got out on work release. Not to say I wish he was still here. But they're both great, smart guys."

Ja Rule Issues Prison Letter

Rapper Ja Rule issued his first letter from prison. The incarcerated Queens rhymer released his letter to AllHipHop and detailed the story of a young inmate who attempted suicide after coming into prison. Ja says it was his first time witnessing an attempted suicide.
"Today I can truly say I’ve been through it all," he writes. "A young kid comes in today they put him in the 18 cell right next to mine he looked kinda depressed coming in but nothing out of the ordinary. A few hours go past and all of a sudden I hear someone choking he’s trying to kill his self.
"We all heard it everyone runs to their cell doors and start kicking, banging, calling the CO’s," he continued. "Now I’ve seen a person get shot and I’ve even seen someone die from a drug overdose but this was different this was suicide. It was like I can hear the life leaving his body...the CO’s rush in the cell they saved him."

Fat Joe Supports Ja Rule

Fat Joe had some words of sympathy for incarcerated rapper Ja Rule. The two were among New York's biggest chart-toppers in the early 2000s, and Joe collaborated with Ja Rule on a few occasions, most notably on Ja's track "New York."
He gave Ja a few words of encouragement.
"God bless him, man. He's my brother and I wish him the best. I just got his address from his manager and I've been writing him. I was with him just before he went away. He's a beautiful dude. He got a bad rap for everything. He's a great guy and making great music."

Ja Rule's Wife Speaks

Ja Rule's Wife Speaks
Ja Rule's wife Aisha Atkins has revealed that Ja, who recently began serving a two-year prison sentence for weapons possession, provided for her and his kids prior to going to jail.
"He did leave us well off," Atkins said. "All of the rumors about Ja being broke are far from true. Ja made sure…that me and my kids wouldn't need anything as far as income goes. He planned well before he went in."
"We won't be bad…even for a little bit -- that was Ja's first priority as a man who makes sure family comes first," said Atkins.

Ja Rule's Post-Prison Plan

Ja Rule's Post-Prison Plan
Ja Rule is already prepping his fans for what he plans to do when his upcoming two-year prison bid ends. The rapper was due to be officially sentenced in March, but his sentencing was delayed until this summer. Nonetheless, Rule has begun outlining his post-prison career plans. And he's going to kick things off with a tour.
"My '40 Days/40 Nights Around the World' tour is being set up right now," Rule told Rap-Up. "I want the bus to come straight to the prison and take me to my first show. Put my family on the bus, have them come to the first few cities, send them back home, and let me keep going. It'll be international; 40 cities in 40 nights. I'll be so fresh and ready to go."
