will.i.am Addicted To Twitter?

Black Eyed Peas frontman/producer will.i.am may have an addiction to social media site Twitter. Singer Cheryl Cole says that will had to be prevented from tweeting while standing on stage behind Queen Elizabeth II at the Diamond Jubilee celebrations in London.
"I actually had to warn him as we walked on to the stage," she said, laughing. "He had the phone at the ready. I'm not joking, I had to say to him, 'Put that phone away right now before I kill you.'"
Cole shared the story during an appearance on The Graham Norton Show.

Black Eyed Peas 'Final' Show Tonight

The Black Eyed Peas will begin their 'indefinite hiatus' after tonight's performance in Miami, Florida. The Peas have fought back rumors that they are breaking up, that Fergie's quitting the band and other stories that have emerged since they announced they're upcoming break.
We always have two cycles of records and then we take a break," said will, who is gearing up for the release of a solo album. "And then two cycles of records and then a break. When we take breaks you know, we work on side projects and get our personal stuff in order then come back and make beautiful music. We think beautiful music."
Fergie has admitted that she wants to focus on starting a family with her husband, actor Josh Duhamel.
“[Y]eah, that's one of the things that we want to do," she said. "I've just been touring since 2003 and like anything things get monotonous and your doing the same thing every night. I'd like to go days without wearing make-up and watching my football games. Doing my footwear collection and my fragrances...Just going where the day takes me."

Ashanti Joining the Black Eyed Peas?

Rumors are swirling that pop rap group the Black Eyed Peas and their singer Fergie are parting ways. Reportedly, Fergie-Ferg wants to leave music behind and raise a family with her husband, actor Josh Duhamel. She will allegedly be announcing her departure soon.
Singer Ashanti is rumored to be the frontrunner to replace Fergie in the group--though no official statement has been released by either party.
Ashanti hasn't really been a hot property in music for a while now, but there's no telling what joining could mean for her career. Or theirs.
Fergie is expected to perform her final show with the Peas on November 23rd.

Black Eyed Peas Launch Video Game

Black Eyed Peas Launch Video Game
Following in the footsteps of icons like Michael Jackson and The Beatles, pop-rap superstars the Black Eyed Peas are launching their own video game with Ubisoft. "The Black Eyed Peas Experience” debuted at a press conference in Paris, France this weekend.
The game is being developed for the Nintendo Wii, Xbox 360, and later on, Playstation 3. No official release date has been set.
“We are thrilled to be working with Ubisoft to create 'The Black Eyed Peas Experience video game,'" group member will.I.am said in a press release. “Ubisoft has both redefined and dominated the dance category in the video game industry and we can't wait to be a part of taking that to the next level by infusing an experience that's 100 percent authentic to the Black Eyed Peas.”

will.i.am Prepping New Solo Album

will.i.am Prepping New Solo Album
Black Eyed Peas rapper/producer will.i.am is restarting his solo career. Will has announced that he plans to release a solo project called Black Einstein while the Peas are on hiatus.
Its his second official solo album, following 2007s somewhat disappointing Songs About Girls. He also released a compilation album in 2001.
There is no current release date for Black Einstein. Fergie did confirm that Will was working on the project--which could be close to completion. "I believe Will is coming out with a solo album," Fergie told Hollyscoop. "I've heard it, it's called Black Einstein, and it's amazing. I've been waiting for him to come out with this for so long, 'cause I want it. He won't give it to me. I want it for the gym. He's so amazing. Such a genius lyricist and I'm really excited for his project.”
