Gucci Mane Fake Photo Surfaces

Gucci Mane's legal woes have become fodder for a viral image that many fans mistook as authentic. An image surfaced on Reddit and spread like wildfire throughout social media yesterday (April 17th) that featured the Atlanta rapper in court before a judge. The photo implies that Gucci's response to a judge, upon being asked if he was guilty of assault, was an offensive: "B*tch I might be."
The line is from Gucci Mane's song "Pillz" and the image looks to be a screenshot from FOX News.
The photo is a complete fake. As many pointed out, FOX News would not display such an offensive word on its screen without any censoring.

Juelz Santana Talks About JoJo Incident Via Power99FM

Juelz Santana stopped by Power 99 for a quick chat. The Dipset rapper was asked about Atlanta rap star Waka Flocka Flame's recent appearance at a Dipset reunion show in New York City, where Waka took the time to diss his former associate Gucci Mane.
"I mean, it wasn't that it surprised me," Santana said of Waka's diss. "Waka's Waka, Waka wants to do what Waka wants to do. That's nothing to do with me."
But Santana was also asked about the recent altercation between JoJo Simmons and Hyneif--an affiliate of Santana's. JoJo was allegedly attacked over the diss record he released earlier this year, which took aim at Juelz.
"Nothing, nothing," JoJo said of the incident. "It's just, you know? It's cool, he's cool, we cool. It's cool. Nothing happened, nothing's going on."

Tyler Crashes Gucci Mane Show

Tyler, the Creator was thrown off the stage during a recent Gucci Mane performance. The Odd Future frontman jumped onstage during a Gucci show in Los Angeles last week, and the Atlanta rapper's security quickly grabbed Tyler and threw him from the stage.
Gucci was performing at the G-Shock release party for The Hundreds and Casio's collaborative watch.
The footage was just made public, but Tyler was also able to grab a photo with Gucci before being forcibly removed from the stage.

Gucci Mane's Child Support Deal

Rapper Gucci Mane managed to do some 'good' by his baby mama in a Georgia court last week. The Atlanta rapper agreed to pay the mother of his 4-year old son more than $2,000 a month. He did so after paternity was established and he entered into a child support agreement with the child's mother, Sheena Evans.
The court documents claim that Gucci makes about $25,000 a month.
Evans landed primary custody of the child and Gucci has visitation rights.

Gucci Mane Still Incarcerated

Despite reports, Gucci Mane is still incarcerated with no official release date. The rapper's Brick Squad compatriot Waka Flocka Flame tweeted "Gucci home," which sparked many false reports that the rapper had been freed on yesterday (October 21.)
Gucci has been incarcerated for 38 days.
Court records do not disclose when the rapper will be released, but he is definitely still behind bars.

Gucci Mane Loves Kreayshawn?

Gucci Mane Loves Kreayshawn?
Pop rapper Kreayshawn got the world's attention with a YouTube video for her song "Gucci, Gucci," and now the rapper that shares a name with the famous designer brand has endorsed the Oakland native. Gucci Mane says he's a fan and would love to work with the spunky femcee.
"I think she hard," Gucci told SOHH. "She's got it. I seen a couple [of her videos] on the Internet and I think she goes hard. I could see us [hooking up musically] in Atlanta. Definitely. I would love to work with her."
One can only imagine what that collabo would sound like.

Introducing the King of Hip-Hop

Kings Square Thumbnail
Now more than three decades old as a recorded medium, hip-hop is deeply embedded in popular culture – to the point where its stars seem not only larger than life but also, as Rick Ross once put it, "deeper than rap." But even as they sell out arenas and top the pop charts, rappers still court the respect and esteem of their hip-hop peers. The title King of Hip-Hop still means something.
In that spirit, just as we did in June with the Queen of Pop, we've crunched a pile of data to try to determine who is the current King of Hip-Hop.
We're not looking for the all-time greatest, although many of our contenders would vie for that crown. Some of them have only been recording a couple of years; others have been in the game since the 1990s. But that's what makes hip-hop exciting – it's plausible for someone who was watching cartoons when Jay-Z dropped his debut album to emerge as a contender for the title.
As with our Queen of Pop tally, in naming the King of Hip-Hop we focused on the very recent past: from 2009 through the first seven months of 2011. We ranked 20 solo rappers (no groups – sorry, Beasties) who have dropped an album during that time. We looked at album sales, rankings on the R&B/hip-hop and rap charts, YouTube views, social media, concert grosses, industry awards and critics' ratings. In alphabetical order, our contenders are: Big Boi, B.o.B, Diddy, Drake, Eminem, Fabolous, Lupe Fiasco, Gucci Mane, Jay-Z, Kid Cudi, Lil Wayne, Ludacris, Nicki Minaj, Pitbull, Rick Ross, Snoop Dogg, T.I., Waka Flocka Flame, Kanye West and Wiz Khalifa.
All of our contenders are men except for Minaj, who reappears from our Queen of Pop survey. We like to think of "King" as a gender-neutral term, and the fact is that Minaj has earned the right to compete in this arena. It would feel strange to leave her out – as a rapper, she's had a world-beating couple of years, with a chart-topping album, block-rocking singles and a slew of killer guest appearances. Frankly, she deserves to be called a hip-hop king just for her giant-killing appearance on West's hit "Monster," in which she crushed West and fellow guests Rick Ross and Jay-Z with one blow.
Fans of the rappers, and the acts themselves, take these sorts of rankings pretty seriously. (We learned that firsthand in the comments section of Queens of Pop.) We stand by our data, but of course we know that no King of Hip-Hop index can capture swagger or flow – if it could, the all-time title might go to Q-Tip or Rakim. As you'll see, it turned out to be a fairly exciting contest. Our top overall contenders were pretty evenly matched, with five different rappers leading at least one tally each.
Let's start with the tally that comes with the biggest bragging rights: album sales.

Gucci Mane On Waka's 'Retirement:'

Gucci Mane On Waka's 'Retirement:'
Gucci Mane claims his fellow Atlanta-born rap star Waka Flocka has gotten better as a lyricist. Gucci shared his thoughts on Waka's talent in a recent interview--and also shared that he'd hate to see Waka hang up his mic--as the rapper has threatened to do numerous times in recent months.
"He's got very, very, very, very, very good," Gucci told SOHH. "You know what I'm saying? He was already good when he started but now when he goes to the studio, he's so focused. He's doesn't even write down lyrics anymore. You see him just going in off the top of his head sometimes. He's putting every line together, smiling."
"Me just being honest, I'm one of Waka's biggest fans," Gucci added. "I'm a huge fan of his music, you know what I'm saying? Me just being a fan and seeing how he is when he goes into the studio, I would hate for him to stop rapping because I like what he's doing. Every song he's every made, I've liked. He goes hard. So I would hate for him to leave the game because I think he's bringing a whole new thing to the rap game. He's got his own style."

Gucci Mane Is Keeping Busy

Gucci Mane Is Keeping Busy
Gucci Mane is happy to be a free man. After being released on July 8th, the rapper says he got straight to work. Echoing recent statements by his friend, Shawty Lo, Gucci confirmed that he's been busy since he's been out and its only the beginning.
"First thing I did, I just got my feet planted on the ground," Gucci revealed in an interview. "Went back to the studio, banged out about five records. I got some great writing done, I got some new hits that people need to wait on...[In] ten years, hopefully I'll still be touring, making music, doing something that I love. Right now, rapping is the thing that I love. Maybe then, I'll have another passion."

Gucci Mane was jailed in April for violating his probation after he was accused of assault for pushing a woman out of a moving car.

Gucci Mane Possibly Free From Prison

Gucci Mane Possibly Free From Prison
Gucci Mane could be on the streets again. Reports surfaced this weekend that the Atlanta rapper is believed to have been released from prison. Gucci has been in prison since pushing a woman out of a moving vehicle in April, and was charged with battery, a misdemeanor and violating his probation.
There were reports as far back as April that the rapper could be released in late June--about 15 months earlier than expected--but no official statement has been released confirming that Gucci has been released from prison as of yet.
More on this as it develops.

Rick Ross' Face Tattoo

Rick Ross' Face Tattoo
In what is probably one of the worst fads in the history of hip hop--yet another rapper has joined the ranks of the facially-tattooed. None other than Miami's own Rick Ross has gotten "Cazal" on the left side of his face.
That's the popular eyewear company, for those unfamiliar.
Ross reportedly has a large vintage Cazal collection; which of course makes getting it tattooed on his face completely understandable.
Yung LA, Diamond and Gucci Mane are among the rappers who previously got face tattoos earlier this year.

Gucci Mane Can't Make Bail?

Gucci Mane Can't Make Bail?
Gucci Mane is still sitting in a cell in Dekalb County jail in Atlanta following his arrest earlier this week for allegedly pushing a woman out of a moving car back in January. According to RumorFix, the rapper is still incarcerated because no one has stepped up to pay his $5,700 bond.
Gucci reportedly hasn't been able to convince friends or family to come to his aid. Even if he does make bail--which he most likely will at some point or another--Gucci will be transferred to Fulton County jail for a probation violation on an unrelated charge.
If convicted, he could serve up to 2 years in prison.

Gucci Mane On Waka Flocka Flame

Isn't it nice when rapper downplay a beef like it never happened?

Gucci Mane dismissed any notion of bad blood between he and Waka Flocka Flame in a recent interview with Complex magazine. The Atlanta rapper not only says he and Waka are 'feeling each other right now,' but does everything but sing a Trey Songz-assisted love song to his buddy.

"Me and Waka were never not cool so I don't know where you get that from," Gucci said in the interview. "There was a period of time I wasn't speaking to him. But it wasn't no bad thing about that. We just wasn't talking at the time...We feeling each other right now. I'm feeling his swag. He's feeling mine. I'm feeling his music right now and he's feeling my music right now so we just came together and said let's combine."

"We've been talking about putting this album out for the last two years," Gucci added. "Since we formed Brick Squad, we been saying we're gonna come out with a group album. So the perfect time is now. We're gonna come out with our group album and then we'll come back out with our solo albums."

50 Cent On Face Tats

50 Cent On Face Tats
50 Cent recently shared his views on the current face tattoo fad that seems to be catching fire in hip hop. Gucci Mane, Yung LA and Diamond of Crime Mob have all gotten face art in recent months. To 50, it seems to be a poor long-term decision when considering what many artists aspire to accomplish outside of music.
“That’s the craziest thing," 50 told VIBE. "Not necessarily Gucci, but to tattoo your face says that there’s not a possibility that you can actually walk into a legitimate establishment without makeup covering your face every day. That does not work. It creates a separation. It says, “I’m an artist.” That’s it. That’s the statement you make when you go and tattoo your face…But know that the public will not have interest in you as an artist for life. You have to be phenomenal."
"Talk to the best that do it and they will tell you that it will take more than you being an artist," he continued. "It takes marketing, maneuvering to generate for that long. When you got 40-year-old rappers in the game, those guys have maneuvered and survived.”
