Slim of 112 On Drake, Amber & Kim

Slim was one of the most recognized voices in R&B as a member of vocal group 112. The singer was asked to give his take on the recent rise of artists like Drake and 'celebutantes' like Amber Rose and Kim Kardashian. Despite the criticism of many of these personalities, Slim says people should be more compassionate and understanding towards artists and celebrities attaining their goals.
"When you have people like an Amber Rose and Kim Kardashian or whatever, I look at it like this; in this day and age, you have to grow with what's going on," Slim told SOHH. "You have people out there that are trying to touch every aspect of entertainment there is. For that right there, I can't knock them. At the end of the day, they're touching their dream. I look at it like, the sky is the limit. Go for it. You have people that probably told Drake, 'No, you can't sing 'and' rap.' I followed him through his mixtapes -- I find it very amazing that somebody from Toronto can come down and really embrace the Texas-feel of music and do a really good job at it. He mixed the style of where he's from and what he's going through, and really took it to a whole 'nother field. I can't knock it. As long as you believe in what you're doing, then the sky is the limit." .

Nicki Minaj Storms the Charts

Nicki Minaj Storms the Charts
Nicki Minaj's hit single "Super Bass," has moved into the number three spot on Billboard magazine’s “Hot 100” singles chart, and now threatens to break a nine-year old record held by Missy Elliott's "Work It." The song was the last time a female rapper had a single peak so high on the charts.
The song continues Minaj's commercial success. In 2010, she became the first female rapper to have seven songs on the Billboard Top 200 Singles chart. She was also the first female Rap artist with an album in the top 10 for 14 consecutive weeks.
“Nicki isn't like any other female rapper,” says Ronald “Slim” Williams, co-founder of Cash Money Records. “We knew she had the goods when Lil Wayne signed her. She's not a female rapper—she's a pop star who happens to rap.”

Birdman Calls Out Soulja Boy

Birdman Calls Out Soulja Boy
Despite claims from Atlanta rapper Soulja Boy that he has been courted by Birdman and Slim of Cash Money Records, Birdman has said that he has never tried to sign Soulja Boy to his label. In a very strangely-worded tweet, Birdman shot down rumors that Soulja Boy was headed to the label.
"YMCMB busine$$ real talk," Birdman tweeted. "I neva tried 2 sign n0b0dy thats already sign 2 s0meb0dy. We d0nt r0ck like [that.] I neva tried 2 sign s0ulja. But I respect tha lil h0mey wrk keep getn it$$$$"
Apparently, Birdman is way too rich to waste time spell-checking his tweets. Or even trying to make them read-able.
Dude....come on...
