2 Chainz Shares Album Details

Rapper 2 Chainz has shared more behind-the-scenes info regarding his highly-anticipated Def Jam debut Based On A T.R.U. Story. The Atlanta rapper told The Boombox that he has several A-list producers contributing to the project and he's 75% done with the recording of the album.
"It's coming out this year. I'm excited about it," 2 Chainz said. "Great features. Excellent production. Still a work in progress. [I'm] about 75 percent done with that."
"I may talk about some producers, but I'm gonna have some elements of surprise on the album," he added. "Of course I'm workin' wit my Drumma Boys, my C-Notes, my Lex Lugers, my Mike Wills, plus this new generation, the new people that I'm working with as well. It's a well-put together project. It's conceptual, and you should be looking out for some new dope visuals too."

Drumma Boy Praises 2 Chainz

Producer Drumma Boy has called 2 Chainz (aka Tity Boi) one of the most underrated rappers in the game. Drumma told SOHH that he's worked with the rapper enough to still be impressed with his methodology.
"I'm most impressed by his punchlines and [that fact] that he doesn't even write," Drumma Boy said. "He goes into the booth for 20 minutes and then he hears the beat. In the booth, he starts putting the words together and when you start listening to the things he's saying and the punchlines he's coming up with, it's just classic."
Really, Drumma Boy? 'Classic?'
If you say so.

Lil Wayne Faces Another Lawsuit

Lil Wayne Faces Another Lawsuit
Rapper Lil Wayne is once again at the center of a controversial lawsuit. Rapper Rich Rick claims that Wayne's hit "How to Love" was stolen. Rich Rick filed a lawsuit earlier this week in Los Angeles County Superior Court, according to TMZ.
Rick says that he purchased several master recordings between 2006 and 2008, including the beat to "How to Love," from producers Drummer Boyz.
Rick claims that Drummer Boyz pitched the same beat to Wayne in November 2010, which Wayne acquired in exchange for a 35% royalty agreement. Now Rick has filed suit against Drummer Boyz and Wayne for breach of contract and other charges.

Drumma Boy Speaks

''I Bring Out the Thinking Side of Gucci''

Drumma Boy Speaks
Hit making producer Drumma Boy talked about his collaborations with rapper Gucci Mane and explained the chemistry they have together in the studio. He broke down several of the tunes they've recorded together and shared his thoughts on them.
"A lot of DJs still hit me to this day and tell me it's one of his most substantial records," Drumma said about the song, which appears on The State vs. Radric Davis. "Just about his situation and what was going on and how he felt, I get a lot of reviews about that one, still."
"People go crazy listening to that ['All About My Money]," he said. "['Classical'] was something different that I tried, I have the live orchestra. It's fun to bring out different sides of people. I bring out the thinking side of Gucci."
