Andre 3000 Resuming Hendrix Role

Andre 3000 has reportedly resurfaced as the lead in an upcoming Jimi Hendrix biopic. The film has been in the works for years with the reclusive rapper named as the star, but the project has run into problems and was reportedly stalled indefinitely.

Nonetheless, it looks like the film now has the green light again and details have emerged about the project's plot and title.

Called All Is By My Side, the film focuses on the legendary guitarists' life just as he was becoming a star in England after transplanting there to pursue a recording career, having failed to land a deal in America. The film is being written and directed by John Ridley.

The film will shoot in Ireland this summer.

Bangladesh Discusses Debut Album

Bangladesh has produced some of the biggest urban hits of the past few years, and the superproducer is looking forward to releasing his as-of-yet-untitled debut album. Bang says that fans won't have to wait much longer for his project.

"I'ma definitely release it this year," revealed the producer. "I've been working on it for a couple months now."

"I got Rick Ross on there. I got Busta Rhymes on there. Pusha-T, Jadakiss, Kendrick Lamar, Ice Cube, Game," he added. "I definitely wanna get Andre 3000 on it. I wanna get Justin Bieber on it. I did some joints on there, so it's definitely possible."

Andre 3000 Talks Veggies

Andre 3000 doesn't appear to be too concerned with music. But that hasn't stopped the Outkast member from dabbling in a myriad of other interests including animation, fashion and--cooking? Three Stacks recently shared his recipe for kale and collards to Bon Apetite.

"Being that I'm from the South, I've eaten collards, mustard and turnip greens all my life," he says. "I was introduced to kale a few years ago and fell in love with the way you can instantly stir fry or pan fry it. Kale is also nutritious, and by not boiling it to death like classic Southern greens, most of that nutrition stays in tact."

The vegan rapper's recipe is:

About a cup of water. 1 or 2 heads of kale.
A few garlic cloves. A couple teaspoons of coconut oil.
A dab of soy free magarine. A couple shakes of Herbamare (Brand) seasoning
A pinch of cayenne. A pinch of black pepper. 

Mac Miller Collaborating With Andre 3000?

Rapper Mac Miller has become the latest artist to profess his admiration for Outkast's reclusive Andre 3000. Over the past several years, seemingly everyone in music has been pining over the musician's absence (a few guest appearances notwithstanding), and several artists have openly stated that they would love to work with Three Stacks.

Mac Miller has joined that list.

“Definitely Andre 3000. That’s one of my favorite rappers ever. I don’t know, if I could work with him it would be crazy,” said Miller when asked who he’d like to work with. “I don’t really wanna put too much into who I work with because if people don’t wanna work with me or believe in what I’m doing then it’s cool…I mean I already have some tracks in with some legends in the game so I’ve already done things that I never believed I would do before.”
