T.I. Doesn't Care About Gay Marriage

With marriage equality the hot-button topic of the moment, several in the hip hop community have voiced their opinions on the controversy. Atlanta rapper T.I. told MTV's "RapFix Live" that he doesn't see why people are so fiery over an issue that has nothing to do with their lives.
"Just to speak honestly and being frank, I don't care," he said regarding the debate. "I think that if a matter doesn't affect your daily life, you shouldn't take a hard stand on it. If it's not something that directly affects you, if it doesn't affect you, what difference does it make to you what other people are doing with their lives?"
Fellow hip hoppers like Jay-Z, Chuck D and Russell Simmons have all voiced their support for gay marriage rights.

Chuck D Lands Modeling Gig

Public Enemy frontman Chuck D has been an emcee, an author, an activist and a public speaker. Now, the hip hop legend gets a new title on his resume as he joins San Francisco-based Naked Suits in their new ad campaign as a model.
Chuck inked a deal to appear in ads for the menswear brand.
"We believe that in today’s age, people are demanding both aesthetics and performance in everything from smart-phones to apparel. Naked Suits are for guys for whom high-performance is a way of life, from their athletic to their professional endeavors. Chuck D is that kind of man. He has influenced the music and technology world with his ideas of innovation," said Adisa Banjoko, brand manager for Naked Suits. "The Own The Moment campaign is meant to inspire people toward living that idea. The shoot was done in Los Angeles. As always Chuck was laid back and insightful. The shot speaks for itself. Once we break into 2012 we will release more of Chuck in this shoot. We are honored to have him on deck."
