No Malice Takes Shot At Wayne?

No Malice previously indicated that he was not interested at all in delving into the burgeoning war of words between Young Money and G.O.O.D. Music. The beef was ignited when No Malice's brother, G.O.O.D. Music artist Pusha T, dropped the single "Exodus 23:1" which many interpreted as a diss aimed at Young Money star Drake.
No Malice said last week that he was focusing on his faith and not rap beefs, but over Memorial Day Weekend, the religious rapper decided to take a thinly-veiled shot at Young Money superstar Lil Wayne and the infamous 2007 photo of Wayne sharing a kiss with his label boss, Bryan "Birdman" Williams.
"Well I LOVE Pusha! That's my blood and I ain't never kiss em," No Malice tweeted.

Lil Kim Explains Nicki Minaj Beef

Lil Kim is finally explaining some of the history between she and her nemesis, Young Money rapper Nicki Minaj. According to Kim, she herself almost joined the label--even having sit-downs with labelheads Slim and Baby Williams.
"Me and Slim were friends for four years, and we decided that we were going to go into business together," Kim said. "I was over there with Cash Money -- I was getting ready to be partners with them."
Kim says she even recorded a song with Nicki and Baby--which was slated to be on Baby's album.
"They put the record out. I guess they didn't like the response -- they saw the response and they pulled the record off, pulled it back, never put it on his album, nothing," Kim said.

Bow Wow Says Tax Woes Are Over

Bow Wow's tax issues have been well-documented, but the Cash Money rapper claims that he has gotten his debt problems all cleared up. The rapper scoffed at any notion that he still owes anything to Uncle Sam, and said that people that mocked his situation have no idea how hard it is to keep up with things like taxes.
"H*ll yeah!" Bow Wow said when he was asked if he cleared up his tax issues. "Word up. Tell 'em blog that! Yeah, I wrote that check, tell 'em blog that."
"People be forgetting, celebrities--we work. I'm in the studio, I'm on a movie set, I have a million things for me to worry about. That's just something like 'Oh s--t, I forgot,'" he says. "You need that? That's the situation, but I'm all good. If I wasn't good then my black a-- would've been in jail!"

Birdman Says Lil Wayne Isn't Falling Off

Birdman took a moment to scoff at any notion that his label superstar, Lil Wayne, is losing a bit of his appeal. When asked about Weezy 'falling off,' Birdman was sure to remind the naysayers about Cash Money Records and their current track record.
"We do music for people who appreciate it," Birdman said. "That's all we can do. Keep working hard, keep grinding. Everybody is entitled to their opinion but we do what we do. We sell millions of records. Ain't nobody ever put up the numbers we put up. That's one to a million. That don't really matter."

Juvenile Explains Leaving Cash Money

Rapper Juvenile opened up about his departure from the label he helped put on the map, Cash Money Records, ten years ago and explained a little of the backstory behind his ongoing custody battle in a recent interview with Power 105. Juvie says he and Cash Money had to part ways due to 'cash money.'
I wanted to stay," Juve said in an interview "You never wanna leave a winning team. That's like [Michael] Jordan leaving the Bulls. I just felt like I wanted to be compensated for my work, I just wanted to get paid for it. ... Once the success came, things started switching up and I was paying attention."
"[Child custody battle?] if you want to know what the situation is, I want custody of my son," he said of his current domestic issues. "That's all that is."

Drake Embraces His Jewishness

Young Money star Drake's "HYFR" music video has a bar mitzvah theme, and the half-Jewish rapper says that he wants to celebrate his faith. Drizzy admits that he didn't have a proper bar mitzvah as a kid and wanted to throw himself a better one now that he can afford it.
"I'm really celebrating my religion," Drake said. "I'm proud, a proud young Jewish boy. So, when I had a bar mitzvah back in the day, my mom really didn't really have that much money. We kinda just did it in the basement of an Italian restaurant, which I guess is kinda like a faux pas. I told myself that if I ever got rich, I'd throw myself a re-bar mitzvah. That's the concept for the video. Myself, obviously, the CEO, the boss, Weezy and the Birdman."

Birdman Discusses Limp Bizkit Signing

Cash Money head Bryan "Birdman" Williams shared the details of how rap-metal band Limp Bizkit wound up signing with his label last week. While the band is a few years removed from its late 90s heyday, Birdman had nothing but positives for the signing and the band's comeback potential.
“Fred [Durst] reached out, bruh,” Birdman told XXL. “It was weird how it happened. He was like, ‘Stunna, what’s good?’ I was like, ‘What’s poppin, 5?’ [Fred said] ‘I wanna join the team.’ Whoa! For real? He didn’t have to say it twice. I was already a fan of him. When the opportunity came, we really was supposed to announce it at the Grammys. Wayne was going to announce it at the Grammys, but he did it when he felt like it.”
“He’s a visionary, he a great artist,” Birdman said of Durst. “Also, I want him to be a part of our staff and take over the rock department and bring us over more talent because that’s what he does. I think with having Limp he brings a lot."

Cyhi the Prynce On Cash Money Tweet:

G.O.O.D. Music Cyhi The Prynce is trying to beat back a small firestorm that's brewing after he made comments that many perceived to be a diss aimed at YMCMB and Lil Wayne and Birdman. The rapper tweeted last week that "YMCMB is mid and Rocafella/GoodMusic is kush you sell more pounds of mid but which one would you rather smoke."
But now, Cyhi is saying that he wasn't trying to tear down Birdman's label.
"Wow I didn't know that tweet went that far... I didn't realize I was that popular," Cyhi tweeted. "Y'all do know it's more richer hustlers selling mid than kush so I wasn't trying to diss nobody"

Lil Wayne Arrest Rumors Are False

During the Grammy awards telecast last night (February 12), rumors began that rap superstar Lil Wayne had been arrested on weapons charges. The story was particularly alarming because Wayne had just performed onstage with Deadmau5 and David Guetta and Chris Brown.
But according to one, reliable source, there's no truth to the story.
"[It's] not true, he's good," said Cash Money CEO Bryan "Birdman" Williams. "I never heard about that. He was good all day."

Nicki Minaj Announces Album Title

Rapper Nicki Minaj has announced the title and projected release date for her follow-up to her platinum-selling debut albumPink Friday. Following the news that she was hard at work on her sophomore project, the Young Money starlet shared the news of her latest project with her fans.
"Pink Friday : ROMAN RELOADED will be released on Valentines Day, 2012," she tweeted. "Heeeee's baaaacccckkkkk."
Cash Money Records co-founder Bryan "Birdman" Williams revealed previously that she was hard at work on Roman Reloaded, but hadn't told fans when the project would be released.

Juvenile Dismisses Hot Boy Reunion

Juvenile is killing any speculation that a Hot Boys reunion will happen anytime soon. While the New Orleans rap veteran has no ill will towards his former Cash Money family, he says that when he talks to Bryan "Birdman" Williams, they never discuss reuniting the famed group from the late 90s/early 2000s.
So fans shouldn't hold their breath.
"I would love to do a Hot Boys reunion record. I talk to Baby here and there but it never comes up in the conversation," Juvie says. "It's more like, 'How you doing? Is everything okay with you?' We never talk about that. It bothers me like it bothers everybody else. I would love to get a record out there for all the people that never knew anything about the Hot Boys; so they could hear how we sound. [But] It's out of my control."

"Nicki's back in the studio, so we're looking to drop Nicki in the first quarter," said Baby. "Maybe this year? I don't know. [...] We're really thinking it out. But she's in the studio, and we're looking real soon, because she's ready to go and we're ready to go with her."

Pusha T On Jay-Z Vs. Wayne

Pusha T gave his verdict on who won the war of words between Jay-Z and Lil Wayne. Jay first took a thinly-veiled swipe at Wayne and Cash Money Records on the early 2011 track "H.A.M." Wayne responded with a few lines of his own on "It's Good."
T says he thinks Jay winds up with the advantage.
"I'm a hip-hop fan, I listen to everybody, I listen to everything," Pusha told Funkmaster Flex Wednesday (September 7) night. "I personally thought the Jay swipe, if that was a swipe because I never heard him say it was a swipe, but the Jay swipe, I thought that was like, mean. I thought it was a mean swipe. But then, the way Wayne flipped back on the new one, that was hot. That was hot as well. That was good. That was good."
"But see, you know me, I get caught up in a level of realness and that -- when you can say, 'Who really would do what and what really makes a little bit more sense in reality?' I get caught up in that," T continued. "You know, when you get caught up in that, you know, it's reality. The Jay one sounded a little bit more realer, I think Wayne was clever with his, but Jay's was a little bit, I felt like that was coming from the heart, like he really, really feels like that. 'If' it's a swipe."

Birdman Sued Over Failed Show

Birdman Sued Over Failed Show
Cash Money CEO Bryan “Birdman” Williams is facing a $75,000 lawsuit over a failed show in Las Vegas. Lana Fuchs and her company Billionaire Mafia LLC filed the suit in United States District Court for the District of Nevada–Las Vegas. Fuchs claims that Birdman failed to appear for an August 17th, 2010 show at Club Eve.
The lawsuit claims that Birdman was wired $50,000 through a Florida attorney named Philip Brutus, who claimed he represented the rapper and Nicki Minaj. Birdman says that Brutus does not represent him and that his signature was forged on documents.
“Birdman had stated that he never signed the agreement in question, but it appears that his signature on the agreement appeared to be not Birdman's, but a forged signatures,” the lawsuit alleges.
Lana Fuchs discovered that Birdman's performance fee is only $35,000, not the $50,000 that was wired. She is still seeking at least $75,000 in actual damages, lost profits or other consequential damages. Birdman and Brutus are both named in the suit.

Birdman On "Watch the Throne:"

Birdman On ''Watch the Throne:''
Birdman shared his thoughts on Jay-Z and Kanye West's Watch the Throne album. The Cash Money founder says that the album reflects an older perspective in hip hop, and he still believes that hip hop is a younger man's game.
He also alluded to Lil Wayne and Drake doing something similar.
"It's older versus younger," Baby said in an interview. "I listened to a few songs [off Watch The Throne] and it feels like an older feel to me. I think with Drake and Wayne, they young. They young cats. You got 23 and 28. Then you got Jay-Z and them, who are older and really on their way out the game. Then you got Wayne and Drake and them, who are still youthful [...] So, it's two different types of music all the way across the board. But what they're doing is great -- I think it's great for the game, great for the business, great for retail as a whole. I just think when Wayne and Drake get together is going to be something real special also because we more youthful."

Birdman Calls Out Soulja Boy

Birdman Calls Out Soulja Boy
Despite claims from Atlanta rapper Soulja Boy that he has been courted by Birdman and Slim of Cash Money Records, Birdman has said that he has never tried to sign Soulja Boy to his label. In a very strangely-worded tweet, Birdman shot down rumors that Soulja Boy was headed to the label.
"YMCMB busine$$ real talk," Birdman tweeted. "I neva tried 2 sign n0b0dy thats already sign 2 s0meb0dy. We d0nt r0ck like [that.] I neva tried 2 sign s0ulja. But I respect tha lil h0mey wrk keep getn it$$$$"
Apparently, Birdman is way too rich to waste time spell-checking his tweets. Or even trying to make them read-able.
Dude....come on...
