R. Kelly's Still A Jay-Z Fan

In a recent interview, R&B singer/songwriter R. Kelly stated that he bears no ill will towards hip hop superstar Jay-Z--despite their well-publicized falling out several years ago. The two collaborated on The Best of Both Worlds and Unfinished Businessalbums, which culminated in a 2004 tour that infamously ended with R. Kelly claiming that he was attacked by Jay-Z affiliates. But Kelly says that has nothing to do with how he views Jay today. "Absolutely; huge fan," Kelly told MTV News. "I love a good marriage — I love love. Anything that works for me, anything that feels good to my soul, that feels like this is what I should do, I'm gonna do it." "I don't care what it is, who it's with," he continued. "As long as it's positive and it works for both parties, I'm with it."

Fantasia Disses R. Kelly

R&B stars R. Kelly and Fantasia were due to perform at the Blake Hotel in Charlotte, North Carolina this week. But Kelly only performed for two minutes, which prompted an angry reaction from his fellow singer Fantasia. Fanny came onstage and said that Kelly's performance was disrespectful to fans.

"[I'm not going to give] you half of a song, I’ve come to give you your money’s worth. I found it a little disrespectful, but things don’t happen like that …especially in my city.’ she said.

Jermaine Dupri also was a no-show, but explained to his fans what happened.

"R.Kelly was suppose to be there tonight, it was suppose to be me, R. Kelly and Fantasia or somebody right, alright so R.Kelly must have went in but girls were coming out of the door saying ‘R. Kelly ain’t say nothing but 6 lines and got the hell on’ so somebody must have told R.Kelly," he posted. "R.Kelly said ‘I don’t see nothing wrong with a-’ and got the f**k out.

The Dream May Release 2nd Free LP

Singer/songwriter The-Dream won rave reviews for his free album, Terius Nash Est. 1977, which was released last week. The-Dream could be releasing a second free LP as soon as next month.

He revealed as much via his Twitter account. "I Have another free Album that's untitled I may drop it free in October. Or After Love IV," he said, referencing his next 'official' release.

The-Dream is currently prepping The Love, IV (Diary of a Mad Man), which is due in stores September 20th. In anticipation of the latest album, The-Dream is set to release his new single "T.T.S." featuring R. Kelly.

RZA On Working With Kanye

RZA has worked with Kanye on his highly-acclaimed 2010 album My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy and now the Wu-Tang legend has discussed contributing to the rapper's joint project with Jay-Z, Watch the Throne.

"Kanye asked me to send tracks while they were in Australia," RZA revealed in an interview. "I just thought I would send some sh*t that would be rugged. I know they can find the poppy, hip-hop places, but I wanted to send them some real edgy sh*t. Apparently they thought they were great - Kanye said, 'Send some more of that Wu sh*t!' -- In the past, when Jay-Z did Best of Both Worlds with R. Kelly, I thought it was a great album but the campaign went south because of personalities. With this project, it's the best of many worlds. These two guys have a great chemistry and a great relationship. I'm excited."

?uestlove On Grammy Win + Bill Murray Popping Up At Basement Parties

The Roots have long been one of hip hop's most beloved acts, but for drummer/producer ?uestlove, winning three awards at this year's Grammys was a surreal moment. The Afro-ed drummer joked that, because his band won for their soul collaborations with John Legend, maybe his Grammys were solely because of Legend.

“I would like to think maybe John Legend’s a favorite amongst the voters, so maybe they just went with that,” ?uest joked to Darren Sands of The Village Voice. “I just wanted to collect the award and get off before they had a recount [laughs]. I was just like yo, let me get this sh*t before they're like, ‘Oh, we're sorry, Chuck Brown and the Soul Searchers!’ That's what I was thinking in my head. Until it’s in my hand, I’m always thinking it’s a fluke. The first year we won there’s no way you’re going to tell me that Dr. Dre and Eminem and Snoop and Puffy and R. Kelly and Janet Jackson and Busta Rhymes were going to lose to us.”

?uestlove also shared a story about comedic actor Bill Murray. Following RZA's recent story that partying with Murray almost got the best of him, ?uest revealed his own experiences with the enigmatic star of Ghostbusters and Groundhog Day.

“Bill Murray has a reputation for just randomly showing up at basement parties in Brooklyn,” ?uestlove explained. “He came to one of my Christmas parties at S.O.B.s, and Bill Murray was like one of the last nine people left. You know, they play that last song and there’s nine people? ‘I'm looking and thinking, ‘Nah, that’s not him.’ But it was him!”
