Tina Knowles, in an appearance on Ellen DeGeneres' talk show, refuted claims that her daughter, superstar Beyonce, was pregnant. [video here] In an interview that will air today (October 21st), Knowles shot down rumors that her daughter and hubby Jay-Z are expecting their first child.
“The truth is that’s it’s not Beyonce that’s pregnant. It’s me,” she joked. “I’m kidding y’all. I’m 56,” she said. “No, no [the reports are] not true. Not right now … With all the rumors, by now I should have 5 or 6 grandchildren.”
The Web went wild on Wednesday with rumors that the 29-year old singer was in her first trimester. No word yet from Beyonce herself or Jay-Z regarding the story.
