Azealia Banks Teams With Styles P

Bronx native Azealia Banks has announced that she is recording a new track with fellow NYC rhymer Styles P. The upstart femcee has become known for her somewhat controversial and antagonistic persona, but she says that this new song with the veteran rapper and LOX member will silence many of her critics.
"It's so New York and it's so raw and it's so just ... everything that needs to be said," she said. "I'm that rap girl who's out here and doesn't have another rapper behind her, but she's got all this mouth and she's all over the place. So [this collaboration] was cool for me [because I'm like] 'What ya'll gonna say now, when I bust out with that Styles P record?' Ya'll not gon' call me fake and make fun of me for having one song. Yeah, I make lil dance music and ya'll got jokes, whatever -- watch when I come out with the Styles P record."

Styles P On 'MC' Vs. 'Rapper'

Styles P decided to break down the difference between a rapper and an emcee in a recent interview. Now, there have been umpteen different attempts to make a distinction between the two terms, and no two 'definitions' ever seem to be the same. But, P decided to put his ten cents into the age-old debate anyway.
Not sure if he said anything that hasn't been said before.
"An MC is a host for the night -- the person that is controlling the crowd's attention and the activities and festivities of the evening," P told SOHH. "An MC is there to control the mic. A rapper, I think, it's just your job as a rapper to be like 'rat, hat, cat, gat, stack' ... all of that. An MC puts all that together in a slick way. A rapper's job is not to make you think. A rapper just says what he says."
