9th Wonder Isn't Begging Drake For Work

9th Wonder was recently asked about working with Young Money superstar Drake and the producer had an interesting response. He says he'd love to collaborate with the Toronto rapper, but that he isn't going to beg to work with anyone.

"It's up to Drake man. You know it's, it's - I've never been one, after all the albums I've been on whether it be Jay-Z's, Destiny Child, Mary J Blige, Erykah Badu, Ludacris, Memphis Bleek, Lloyd Banks -- all the records I've done on a major level, I've never slept outside somebody's door with a demo cd. It's always been, '9th, I want you to rock on my record'. So maybe I'm spoiled, maybe whatever, but I am not into sitting down with an A&R and playing an A&R beats. Jay-Z kinda ruined all of that because I dealt with him directly. If I dealt with him directly, I'm not about to play no beats for no A&R's, that's wack."

" I dealt with him directly; I sat with Beyonce for 3 hours and played her beats. Well played all 3 of them [Destiny's Child] beats. It was just me and them. It wasn't me, the A&R dude and them. I've dealt with everybody directly, so I'm past that."

Lloyd Banks' Ex Isn't With Joe Budden

Yaris Sanchez, ex-girlfriend to G-Unit rapper Lloyd Banks, is squashing rumors that she's been getting cozy with another East Coast rhymesayer. Yaris says she is not getting hot and heavy with Slaughterhouse's Joe Budden--despite questionable photos and Internet rumors to the contrary.

"Me and him are just cool. The picture -- me and him were in a room full of people," she explained. "There was a picture that they cropped of me and him and another girl and they cropped it to make it look like it was just me and him. It's not like that at all. We're just cool. He has a lot of female friends. He only hangs with females. People are going to assume otherwise, but no. [I'm] very single."

Christopher Charles Lloyd (born April 30, 1982),^[2] better known by his stage name Lloyd Banks, is an American rapper and member of the rap group G-Unit. Raised in South Jamaica, Queens, he dropped out of high school in 1998. G-Unit released two albums, Beg for Mercy in 2003 and T.O.S. (Terminate on Sight) in 2008. Banks released his first solo album The Hunger for More in 2004 with the top ten hit single "On Fire". He followed with Rotten Apple in 2006 and left Interscope Records 2009. In 2010 G-Unit signed with EMI ^[3] to distribute Banks third studio album The Hunger for More 2, which is slated for release on November 22, 2010.^[4]

In 2004, Banks was awarded 2004's Mixtape artist of the Year at the Mixtape Awards. Lloyd Banks commented on this award in an interview with AOL Sessions:

When I won the mixtape artist of the year 2004, after that I didn’t want to get away from it because that right there is where I got my satisfaction, from the fans giving me that award. It wasn’t like an award show when you got some big fat guys in suits on the podium that never even heard my album giving me a rating or judging what I deserve... that's actually my most proudest trophy right now.^[30]

In 2005, "On Fire" was nominated for a Grammy award for Best Rap Solo Performance. In 2006, "Touch It [Remix]" was nominated for Hip-Hop Video of the Year, and won for Best Collaboration at the BET Awards. The award was shared by Banks and his collaborators, Busta Rhymes, Mary J. Blige, Rah Digga, Missy Elliott, Papoose, and DMX.
