Jay-Z & Kanye Thanked For Disclaimer

Jay-Z and Kanye West are being commended for including a medical disclaimer at the beginning of their new video for the smash hit "N***as In Paris." It is being reported that the disclaimer actually helped prevent epileptic seizures for some viewers. According to TMZ, reps from the Citizens United for Research in Epilepsy and the Epilepsy Therapy Project thanked the rappers for their thoughtfulness.
"50,000 individuals lose their lives each year due to seizures and related causes," explained a member of the Citizens United for Research in Epilepsy group. "We applaud artists like Kanye West and Jay-Z who recognize the potential dangers in their videos, movies and performances and are conscientious enough to warn patients and their families about the risks."
[We] appreciate the sensitivities that Kanye and Jay-Z showed in appropriately warning individuals with photosensitive epilepsy that their video may cause seizures. Given the 4 million people who suffer from epilepsy in the US alone, we need to work together with the music industry on how best to destigmatize the condition and stop seizures and epilepsy once and for all so everyone can enjoy the music," the rep added.
