Lil Wayne Responds To Luke

Veteran Miami rappers Trick Daddy and Luther "Luke" Campbell have both voiced their criticisms of hip-hop superstar Lil Wayne's recent disrespectful rant aimed at the Miami Heat. In an interview with 99 Jamz, Wayne was asked how he felt about Luke's opinion, in particular, and the YMCMB star was defiant.
“I can't change nobody's personal opinion. I can't change nobody's personal view,” said Wayne. “I can just keep doing what I do and keep putting food on the table for my family and that's what I'm going to do no matter what."
“I haven't [read Luke's letter], but I already know how he feels about me,” continued Wayne. “I've never met him actually. ...Ever since I got here, there were billboards and signs saying, ‘Lil Wayne, Go Back Home,’ you know what I mean? And I didn't do anything.”
“This is Miami, I can't move,” Wayne added. “I got the best skate weather, ever, down here. ... Like I said, the main thing I really want to get out there is that I do apologize for the misunderstanding to the city of Miami. I love everyone here, it's just I'm passionate about sports and I felt very disrespected, that's all. I felt very, very disrespected.”

Drake Done With the Grammys?

Young Money rapper Drake sounds like he's frustrated with the Grammy committee. The rapper, who's second albumTake Care drops this week, says he doesn't believe he'll ever win a little gold Gramaphone.
"I've always been fascinated with the Grammys, so I don't mean disrespect when I say this, but I've kind of given up on them," he says. "If I ever get one, or when I get one, I'll be ecstatic, because that's a recurring dream I've had since I was a kid: That my mother's still alive and that I'm onstage accepting a Grammy, and I get to thank her on that stage. But it's tough. They can never really break their mold."
Calm down, kid, your career's just getting started.

Lil Wayne Faces THIRD Lawsuit In A Week

Lil Wayne Faces THIRD Lawsuit In A Week
In what has become a seemingly daily affair, rapper Lil Wayne is in the middle of yetanother lawsuit. Wayne and Brian "Birdman" Williams are being sued for their 2006 song "Army Gunz" on their collaborative album Like Father, Like Son.
The song samples Funkadelic's 1971 track "You and Your Folks, Me and My Folks" and Bridgeport Music says the sample was never properly cleared. The song was produced by DJ Nasty, though he is not named in the suit, and it is not currently clear how much the suit is seeking.

Nicki Minaj On Her Infamous Wigs

Nicki Minaj On Her Infamous Wigs:
Nicki Minaj's distinctive look has evolved consistently over her two years in the spotlight. She went from rocking Lil Kim-esque outfits to more outlandish and cartoonish looks. The quirkiness of the Young Money starlet has come to be epitomized by her seemingly endless array of colorful and geometrically-shaped wigs. She admits that, though she didn't plan on such a look, she's glad she pushed forward with it.
“Never did I think I would be rocking the Marge Simpson," Minaj told People. "But you know what? Now that I am [wearing] them I realize that she was cutting edge and before her time. So shout out to Marge. My wigs are ever changing in height, width, color, size. They make me feel happy. Wearing them makes me feel that I can be a different person every day and that is kind of exciting.”

Lil Wayne Kicks Drake Out Of Young Money After Argument Over Unpaid Royalties

Drake Leaves Young Money
Just when you thought the new dynasty called Young Money was unbreakable, it seems their run is over before it really got started.
Last night after  a  concert in University, PA,  Drake was kicked out of Young Money after a heated argument with Lil Wayne and Baby.
According to sources, tensions have been fueling for the past 2 months over unpaid royalties and Drake wanting to restructure his contract with Cash Money/Young Money.

Drake who was not on the bill but was apparently there to make a special appearance but  refused to take the stage and all hell broke loose.
According to sources, during the argument,  Drake screamed he was Young Money and if it wasn't for him, the label would have died while Wayne was locked down.
Weezy apparently became irate  after the statement  and replied, "This the thanks I get... We don't fuc*ing need you."
Sources stated that a shoving match pursued before both securities stepped in.
No word yet on how this will turn out because of the paperwork but we've seen what happened with Young Buck as 50 shelved him despite having hot material proving sometimes its not about the money but the principal.
Hip-Hop Wired will keep you updated as the story develops...

Lil Kim Squashes Junior Mafia Reunion

Lil Kim Squashes Junior Mafia Reunion
The public and media have been skeptical as to Lil Kim's sincerity regarding her 'beef' with Young Money starlet Nicki MInaj, but 'The Queen Bee' was recently asked about a much older feud and Kim was direct and to the point with her contempt. MTV's Sway asked Kim if she would ever consider reuniting with rapper Lil Cease and her former Junior M.A.F.I.A. cohorts. Kim's answer was blunt and unforgiving:
"No. Next question."
Kim's relationship with Junior M.A.F.I.A. soured after she accused many of them of turning on her after she was indicted for perjury and subsequently sentenced to prison after lying to a grand jury about her knowledge of a 2001 shooting involving members of the group. She and Cease's relationship appears to be irreparable.
"At this point I would say never," stated Kim. "Only God directs my life so I can't say if I would ever speak to him in the future. But at this point, no. I have not seen a single change and then I've seen a bunch of talk and a bunch of contradictions, so no."

Nicki Minaj's Favorite Feature

Nicki Minaj's Favorite Feature
Last month, Young Money superstar Nicki Minaj claimed that she was done with collaborations for two years. Modern hip hop tends to O.D. on guest appearances, so Minaj's announcement came as something of a shock. Nicki herself made name for herself by appearing on several tracks by Trey Songz, Kanye West and more; but she recently revealed which appearance still ranks the highest for her personally.
"My fave feature to date is me and wayne's "Sunshine," Nicki tweeted. "It was the cutest thing ever. Go listen and report back. Roman. Out."
Incidentally, the only artist Minaj said that she would break her hiatus for is Britney Spears.

Cover V Magazine Nicki Minaj Spread Characteristic

Nicki Minaj is gracing the cover of V Magazine as part of the publication's January ‘Discovery Issue.'
In it, the Young Money mistress dons black face paint and pink lipstick for the shoot photographed by Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinood Matadin.
Besides her standout look, the magazine features Minaj speaking on her infamous alter egos.
According to Minaj she lets her “voices speak” and enjoys being a different person when she pleases.
“I just always want to do 'me', but 'me' changes every day…I would crumple up and die if I had to wake up and be the same person every day. I don't silence those voices anymore. I just let them speak.”
Following the shoot, Minaj was obviously pleased with the end results and took to her Twitter page to encourage fans to check out her most “bad a** shoot to date.”
“Its safe to say my cover shoot in V Magazine is dedicated to my gays and fashionistas. My most bad a** shoot to date. On stands in 3 days ;) ."

Young Money To Release Debit Cards

According to published reports, YM President Mack Maine has confirmed that the Young Money camp will soon be issuing a Young Money prepaid debit card for fans.

Now confirmed, the crew hopes to have the first card issued to fans by the end of the year.
In addition to the idea that was created by Young Money's business manager Horace Madison, the camp also hopes to add some special online discounts and label freebies to get fans interested, too.
In a published statement to KarenCivil, Maine specifically names Target as a store that will offer a small discount for those that use the prepaid plastic rather than cash or another card.
