Shyne Calls Out Game For His "Boo"

Shyne and Game. Game and Shyne.
The two rappers have been sparring via Twitter for what seems like ages now. Why? Because Shyne said he didn't like Kendrick Lamar's album. Not Game's--Kendrick Lamar's. That bit of info is important, because in his latest series of disses, Shyne questioned Game's loyalty to his fellow Compton rhymer.
"@thegame are u gay? Get off my time line wit all that gay talk. #judas the homo thug!," Shyne tweeted. "@thegame Now I get it...the Lamar kid is your girl that's why u was on that captain save hooker. U had defend your boo! Coward"
"@thegame don't bring no security or police with u on that European tour. #hooker" he added.

Game Facing Lawsuit

Rapper Game is facing a lawsuit filed by producer Infamous over a mixtape beat. Infamous claims that he offered the track to Game in 2010 for the rap star to determine whether or not he wanted to use it on a project. The producer didn't hear word from Game, allegedly, but the song surfaced on his "Skate On" track from the "California Republic" mixtape.
Infamous has said that he attempted to reach Game, but reportedly the Compton rapper never responded.
The suit comes on the heels of another suit filed by superproducer RZA last year against Game over the song "Heartbreak." Infamous is looking for $100,000 in compensation.

Rappers Game and 40 Glocc were reportedly involved in a fight at a Los Angeles mansion party early yesterday (July 8th.) Allegedly Game and more than a dozen members of his entourage attacked 40 Glocc. Game released footage of the attack, with firearms reportedly being drawn during the melee.
"A Fuck N***uh That's That Sh*t I Don't Like" bang bang "A Snitch N***h That's That Sh*t I Don't Like," Game tweeted following the altercation. "Iphone in my left hand..... Mayweather'n this n***a with my right !!! #AtTheSameDamnTime"

Game Squashes Whoo Kid Beef

Game has been such a peacenik lately.
The rapper known for his numerous feuds since emerging in the early 2000s said last week that he wanted peace between battling stars Chris Brown and Drake, and now he's taken the steps to squash one of his own beefs. The Compton native reached out to G-Unit's DJ Whoo Kid in an effort to end their long-standing feud.
"Hey Whoo Kid, man, you know what it is," Game told Whoo Kid. "I'm telling you, soon as I get off the phone, it's everywhere. Eh, Ron-Ron hit me like, 'Call up the Whoo Kid,' I looked at the man, I had to put my iPhone way back and look at it. I'm like, 'Yo, this n***a just texted me like, 'Call up the Whoo Kid?' F*ck it. Whoo Kid's my dude. I ain't talked to [you] in a while. ... [G-Unit reunion?] If it's an opportunity to make some money, then it's all good. If not, you know 50 [Cent] let his ego go, that's good too but I'm all good. I'm not tripping off nobody until somebody's tripping. Then I'm going to turn it all the way up."

Ne-Yo Defends Album Title

R&B singer Ne-Yo may have confused some fans--and at least one well-known Compton rapper--by naming his upcoming albumThe R.E.D. Album so soon after rhymer Game released his ownThe R.E.D. Album, but the crooner says he didn't steal anything from the West Coast emcee.
"No ... I don't feel like I ripped off The Game's album," Ne-Yo told TMZ.
"Until The Game comes up to me and says he has a problem with it, I don't care what people think," Ne-Yo said. "Jay-Z did The Blueprint and so did KRS-One."

Game Cosigns MC Serena?

While the general public (and respected emcee Rah Digga) may have had a mixed reaction to tennis superstar Serena Williams' tossed-off freestyle last week, at least one hip hop notable voiced his support for the sexy athlete's foray into the world of music.
Rapper Game says that he's fully behind Serena's rhyming and told TMZ he expects more from her.
"You shouldn't expect her to come with anything less than the official rap bars," then added "I can see her doing big things."
We think Game is trying to be nice.
Even though that's not exactly what he's known for.

Game Confused By Ne-Yo

Singer Ne-Yo announced earlier this week that his upcoming album would be called The R.E.D. Album, much to the confusion of hip hop fans who recalled that rapper Game released his own R.E.D. Album in the fall of 2011. Game himself addressed the name change in an interview and said he was basically confused by the title.
“I don't know what that’s about, but I’ve always known Ne-Yo to be a cool dude, so I’m pretty sure he got his reasoning,” he explained. “More power to the lil’ homie.”
Game was expected by many to take exception to Ne-Yo borrowing his name. Ne-Yo hasn't revealed exactly why he chose the exact same title for his album.

Game Discusses Fan Incident

Rapper Game opened about the recent incident at one of his California concerts where a fan blacked out while the rhymer was onstage. Game stopped the show to be sure that the audience member was attended to and said that it was the right thing to do.
Game says his behavior was indicative of his love for his fans.
"You know I love my fans, man. They're good people. I don't know what could have happened to dude. He could have passed out. He could of died from something - that's why I stopped," he explained.

Neef Buck Discusses Old Beefs

Neef, estranged member of Young Gunz, addresses his history of feuding in general, and his ongoing beef with Game and the LOX. The rapper says that there is no longer any animosity between he and others in hip hop.
"[Young Chris] was recently in L.A. and he ran into Game and they took a picture and everything and sent it to me. Sometimes with beef, it's just rap. We got older and a lot more mature," Neef promised in an interview. "Back in the day we were going through it with the LOX and just running up to New York and bombing on Hot 97. We was running around and it was really on sight whenever we saw certain people. I even caught a case up in New York; I got caught with a gun. We was young and immature just running around and living. We didn't have any responsibility yet, but we do now, once we got a little money and people we gotta take care of that we gotta stay here for. We wasn't thinking at the time. A lot of people, it just be rap -- you do different things for attention, and I guess that's what it was."

Game Saved Concertgoer

Game reacted swiftly when a fan seemed to be in danger during a show. Footage has surfaced featuring the rapper performing at The Observatory in Santa Ana, CA and a concertgoer passing out in the crowd. The Los Angeles native stops the show to make sure the youngster is taken care of.
In the clip, the kid passes out, wakes up briefly, and then loses consciousness again.
Several members of the audience rush to help the young man and he eventually comes to. Game resumes the show shortly thereafter. The incident happened two weeks ago, but has only come to public attention now. Game was widely criticized last month for spitting on a fan during a show.

Game Discusses Trayvon Martin

Rapper Game has become the latest hip hop figure to address the killing of Trayvon Martin. Martin was shot by neighborhood watch 'captain' George Zimmerman though Martin was unarmed. Zimmerman has not been arrested. The murder of the 17-year old Black teen in Sanford, FL has raised the ire of many across the U.S. and the world, and hip hop stars have tweeted about the killing and spoken at-length about what the incident says about race relations in America.
"I think that from the beginning of mankind, we as a people have always been targeted," he said. "For some reason, people don't think that they need any excuse to kill us, beat us, hit us, run us over, disrespect us or anything like that...I'm far from racist. I'm very educated and intellectual and I understand how life works and how people of all colors exist under the sun, but it just seems like more than not black people are, I don't know, there's always some negative occurrence that goes on in our existence. This is just another reminder that stupidity still exists."

Game's On Dr. Dre & Rick Ross

Game shared his thoughts on legendary hip hop producer Dr. Dre working with Maybach Music Group superstar Rick Ross. The pairing is somewhat surprising, considering Dr. Dre has long been a mentor and affiliate of hip hop superstar 50 Cent and Ross is one of Fiddy's most high-profile rivals.
"I don't know, that's kinda crazy," Game told MTV News "I think Dre knows what he's doin'," Game continued. "Ross, his career just hit a launchpad and then went to the moon, so I think it would be a dope collaboration. I would love to hear Rick Ross over Dr. Dre's production."
"I can't speak too much for 50 Cent or Dre's intentions, but yeah, I don't know," he said.

Game Ponders Indie Move

Rapper Game seems to be planning to make good on his promise to leave Interscope after the release of his next album. While it is undetermined currently when the West Coast hip hop star will be dropping the album, currently-titled F.I.V.E.: Fear Is Victory's Evolution.
"Independent. That seems like a really, really good move where I can capitalize off of all the finances being made off of my music for once," Game says. "But, I don't know, I kinda like having a lot of help, a lot of assistance from a big label."
"I don't know, maybe we'll have a meeting about a lot of money or I'll be talking to my conscience," he added.

Game On "R.E.D. Album" Sales:

While some may consider the fact that Game's 2011 release The R.E.D. Album has yet to cross the platinum sales mark something of disappointment; Game himself dismisses the notion that the project was a failure. The rapper discussed the album's commercial reception and shared that he's confident that it will reach a million sales soon enough.
"We about to put out the last video for The R.E.D. AlbumThe R.E.D. Album exceeded my expectations and did well," he said. "No matter what an album comes out and sells the first week, it'll end up catching platinum in the long run, 'cause I definitely have a million fans out there somewhere. I don't know what they be doing the first week, but my albums always have legs. But just for that album to come out and be No. 1, that's all I wanted. So I got what I wanted. And we shot the last video with Kendrick Lamar to 'The City.'"

Nas Inspired Game

For anyone wondering where rapper Game gets some of his 'high-minded' concepts for songs and album titles, the West Coast rhymer gave props to a certain legendary Queensbridge emcee for inspiring him to come up with out-the-box ideas for his music.
"I'm gonna always come with a dope concept," Game said in an interview. "That's word to my n*gga Nas. I'm a huge fan of Nas, now he's like my brother in this sh*t. I'ma always try to keep my albums consistently tied into some kind of concept."
Nas has been one of the more 'conceptual' rappers throughout his career, from rapping a story in reverse to appearing as various characters on his tracks.

Game Reveals Album Title

Rapper Game has revealed the title of his next album. The West Coast rhymer told XXLMag that his follow up to 2011s The R.E.D. Album will be called F.I.V.E.: Fear Is Victory’s Evolution.
“The meaning behind that is like—me as a rapper, you as a journalist, Kobe as a basketball player—you gotta be afraid to do something, or have those butterflies in your stomach,” he said. “We all get that feeling. Before you did your first interview, you probably was like, ‘Damn, I don’t want to ask the wrong questions. I want to do this right.’ Me, before I wrote my first rap, or the first time I was in the booth. Fear. But then fear is victory’s evolution. After a while, you become a dope journalist, I become a dope rapper, Kobe is Kobe. You achieve and you pass over that fear. Now it ain’t fear; it’s just victory. It’s victory of all.”
Game also discussed tensions with his label, Interscope.
“Jimmy Iovine is, sh*t, probably weeks out from opening the budget for my fifth album,” he continued. “And then once I do this F.I.V.E. album, it might be a wrap. We’ll see. I know somebody going to give me some millions before I do anything. I see myself getting a lot of money to carry out the remaining time in my career. It don’t really matter where it’s at—it’s just the imprint on the back of the album

Game Vs. A Fan

The Game was involved in a heated exchange during a show in Norway. The rapper brought the show to a halt after a bottle was hurled at him. The Los Angeles native took things a bit further when he decided to go into the crowd after the fan himself.
Game reportedly jumped off the stage to fight the perpetrator.
"Next time you throw something, I'm just gonna ask someone next to you who threw it and we gon' jump over there and f*ck you up," Game told the fan. "You ain't so tough now, boy."
Game subsequently returned to the stage and the show resumed.

Game Clowns Matt Barnes?

While the reality TV world is buzzing over the split between "Basketball Wives" star Gloria Govan and Los Angeles Lakers forward Matt Barnes, rapper Game has decided to throw his own two cents into the mix.
No one asked him, but Game tweeted his take on their fractured relationship.
I'm sittin here watchin' Basketball Wives like ugh, them is basketball wives?" he tweeted. "Only cute one, Gloria, that's my n*gga Matt Barnes chick can't swim in that pool fool, that's a crucial conflict. Never sleep with the wife of n***as you eat with."

Game Loves The Beatles?

Game seems to be in an oddly positive mood. The rapper known for antagonizing his fellow emcees was singing the praises of several artists during a recent interview with Syracuse's The Daily Orange. Game was happy about his latest project, The R.E.D. Album, and praised all of the artists that worked with it on him.
"It's one of the best albums I've ever put out," Game said about his album. "It did well and people really seem to like it. I got to work with a ton of cool people on it, like Snoop Dogg, Nelly Furtado, Lil Wayne and Chris Brown. I did a song with Tyler, The Creator, and the dude's crazy. He won a VMA and is just ridiculous. If Odd Future ever comes up here [to Syracuse], definitely see them. They're all crazy, but they know what they're doing, and they do it right.
Maybe the Compton native's upbeat mood can be attributed to what he says he's been listening to lately.
"The Beatles, man. I love them," he revealed. "It's good, old-fashioned classic rock. That's the kind of music that just makes you feel good."
