2Pac Rocks Coachella

Dr. Dre had the most talked-about set at the Coachella festival. Dre performed Sunday (April 15th) night, with a bevy of superstar guest appearances--including Snoop Dogg, Kurupt, 50 Cent, Kurupt, Wiz Khalifa, Eminem and, amazingly, 2Pac. A hologram of the legendary rapper was projected onstage and performed ‘Hail Mary’ and the 2Pac/Snoop Dogg duet "Two Of American’s Most Wanted."
The image sent the crowd into a frenzy and Twitter buzzed with fans' reactions.
The set list was packed with numerous classic tracks--which is to be expected given Dre's lengthy run of hits and the numerous acts he's produced hits for. "The Next Episode, "Ain’t No Fun," "Drop It Like It’s Hot," and several other songs were a part of the set, before the Doctor ended the show with "Still D.R.E."

Tha Dogg Pound Discuss New Album

Daz Dilinger and Kurupt have announced that they are working on a new Tha Dogg Pound album. In a somewhat surprising twist, the duo also revealed that Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg will both be executive producers on the project.
The project is entitled Alumni and it marks the first time all parties have worked together since Dr. Dre's 1999 classic album 2001. They were all affiliated with Death Row Records during the label's 1990s heyday.
“It’s Daz and Kurupt getting that DPGC together. Big Snoop is overseeing it, Dre’s overseeing,” said Kurupt in an interview with AllHipHop. “We just got off a road trip for beats with Dr. Dre, who is still working on [Dre's album]Detox.”
“We put the beats together, submit it to him [Dr. Dre] to let him know what we are working with and he comes and adds his flavor to it," added Daz. "It’s natural.”

Snoop Criticizes Dr. Dre

Snoop Criticizes Dr. Dre
Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre are as close as peanut butter and jelly, but the Doggfather had some choice words for his old friend and mentor regarding the approach on Dre's long-delayed Detox album. According to Snoop, the Doctor is screwing with the formula that made 1992's The Chronic and 1999's 2001 classic albums.
"He's got a strong work ethic and I'm gonna say this," Snoop Dogg told Tim Westwood. "I don't know if it's gonna ruffle any feathers, I just think the wrong people are in the environment. When he made records that were hit records in the past, D.O.C., Snoop Dogg, RBX, Kurupt, it's pieces that's not there that need to be there. And I'll say D.O.C. and Snoop Dogg is the backbone. When you take those two equations and take them out of the equation, it's not gonna work. You need to put them two back into the equation and let us mastermind head the project like we did Chronic and 2001. That's what's missing."
