J Simpson speaks in court prior to his sentencing at the Clark County Regional Justice Center Friday, December 5 in Las Vegas, Nevada. The 61-year-old football Hall of Famer stood shackled and stone-faced when the Judge SENTENCED HIM TO AT LEAST 15 YEARS IN PRISON for a hotel armed robbery.
Simpson and co-defendant Clarence ‘C.J.’ Stewart were sentenced on 12 charges, including felony kidnapping, armed robbery and conspiracy related to a 2007 confrontation with sports memorabilia dealers in a Las Vegas hotel.
The judge said several times that her sentence in the Las Vegas case had nothing to do with Simpson’s 1994 acquittal in the slaying of his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ronald Goldman. And she rejected his apology stating, “It was much more than stupidity.”
