The resurgence of Michael Vick has placed him in the MVP discussion, but is he a legitimate candidate? Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk gives the Eagles quarterback his props, but he believes Vick as MVP is a bit premature.
“With all due respect to LaDainian Tomlinson, Vick could be the easy choice for the AP comeback player of the year award. But to the extent that anyone believes that Vick is the league MVP through nine weeks, that’s more than a bit of a stretch.
“Vick has started four games out of eight. He has appeared in five games. He has thrown 125 passes. (Saints quarterback Drew Brees has thrown one pass short of three times that many.)”
