We're taking a quick pause from hip hop for a second to witness a falling pop star.
Christina Aguilera's last album went plastic, her movie was a joke, and it seems like Xtina is outta control. Reports have surfaced that the singer got into a drunken fight with her mom this past New Year's Eve and was seen sobbing uncontrollably at an L.A. club in January. Now, rumors are swirling that Aguilera was caught having sex in a bathroom.
“Her friends are fed up,” the source says of Aguilera’s antics. “Nobody can get through to her. They think she’s trashy. And her ego is out of control.”
“She’s really spiraling,” says the source. “I would be shocked if she’s not in rehab in the next month or two.”
Kanye West showed up at the Chicago Bulls-Miami Heat game in his hometown of Chicago last night (February 24) and was introduced by the announcer after he came in late. What should've been a happy homecoming turned slightly ugly when the crowd started booing the controversial rapper/producer. It's being speculated that Yeezy's recent tweets about abortion may be the reason for the hostile reception in the Windy City.
His now-infamous tweet that “an abortion can cost a ballin’ n*gga up to 50gs maybe a 100. Gold diggin’ b*tches be getting pregnant on purpose. #STRAPUP my n*ggas!," has led to a backlash from fans and criticism from the press. Both of which are nothing new for West.
“Never has a tweet put me in such a bad mood," tweeted pop star Lily Allen, who has suffered miscarriages in the past. "This is wrong on so many levels.”
Pop stars Rihanna and Ciara continued their war of words on Twitter over the weekend. Following Ciara's critical remarks about Rihanna during Ciara's appearance on Joan River's show, Rihanna fired back via Twitter. "My bad ci, did I 4get to tip u? #howrudeofme," Rihanna tweeted after the story initially broke this past Friday (February 25.)
From there, things just got worse between the two.
"Trust me Rhianna u dont want to see me on or off the stage ... pure comedy...," Ciara fired back.
Rihanna's retort? "U gangsta huh? Haaa Good luck with booking that stage u speak of"
(We know you're from the "A," Ciara, but you might not want it with an island girl.)
But things abruptly changed tone, with Rihanna extending an olive branch. "Ciara baby, I love u girl! U hurt my feelings real bad on TV! I'm heartbroken!" Rihanna tweeted. "That's y I retaliated this way! So sorry! #letsmakeup"
"Rhi u know its always been love since day 1! Doing shows/everything. you threw me off in that party! Apology accepted. Let's chat in person."
Birdman recently interviewed with Los Angeles legend Big Boy and said some very interesting things about his money and his supposed rivalry with Jay-Z. The Cash Money Records founder bragged--as he is known to do--about his and his label's financial success--but he made one claim that seemed outlandish.
Even for him.
Birdman claims to have received a check for $100,000,000. That's right. $100 milli. No way.
Oh, and as far as Jay? Baby says he has no quarrel with the Roc Nation megastar and mogul. Even after Jay-Z's 'we spendin' baby money' sub-diss on Kanye West's "H.A.M." track. “I ain’t tripping--we spending Baby money," Baby said. "I don’t know how he feels, but I don’t have a problem.”
Juelz Santana has had to deal with his fair share of legal issues recently. The rapper was arrested on various drugs and weapons-related charges following a January raid on his New Jersey studio. Santana's on issues may have compelled him to feel some sympathy for incarcerated femcee Remy Ma. Remy learned last week that her appeal had been denied and her seven-year sentence will be upheld.
"Free Remy," Juelz said during an interview with radio personality Steph Lova. "It's an unfortunate situation. They trying to put me in a similar situation, God forbid. But you know, Remy'll be home soon. She's strong, strong. She's stronger than a lot of n*ggas out there. So I know she's holding her head, I know she's good."

Controversy has spiked around abortion these days, and it was only a matter of time before the most opinionated man in music shared his two cents on the subject. Kanye West took to Twitter to give his thoughts on the abortion debate, but he didn't give an articulate, thoughtful take on Pro-Life vs. Pro-Choice. Nope. Not Yeezy.
“An abortion can cost a ballin' n***a up to 50gs maybe a 100," West tweeted. "Gold diggin' b*tches be getting pregnant on purpose. #STRAPUP my n***as!”
“It ain’t happen to me," Kanye clarified. "But I know people.”
Well said, Yeezy...well said.
Despite reports of an embarrassingly drunk Foxy Brown being kicked out of a fashion party in New York City last week, the femcee was coherent enough to recently share her thoughts (again) on the one-sided Nicki Minaj/Lil Kim beef. Foxy seems to conveniently forget that she recently recorded a Lil Kim diss track that got no attention, instead now opting to play the role of mature adult.
"Had [Kim] let the people say, 'Oh [Nicki], you're trying to be Kim, you're a fake Kim,' then it doesn't come directly from her," Foxy explained in an interview with Billboard. "But when you're using that as a platform to bring your new album out, that's like, 'Oh my God, wait a minute.' I don't condone it at all; I don't think it's cute. Nicki clearly drew from both Kim and me. And she hasn't been disrespectful to me in any way -- I haven't heard her be disrespectful toward anybody else but Kim."
"And at some point, it's like, 'O.K., Kim, you've had a problem with Foxy, you've had a problem with Nicki, you've had a problem with Faith [Evans], with Charli [Baltimore], with everybody,'" Foxy continued. "It's like, enough already. I choose to stay out of it. Put out great music, and that's that."
NBA fans are still buzzing over Los Angeles Clippers star Blake Griffin and his rim-rattling dunks. The phenom memorably jumped over a Kia during dthis year's NBA Slam Dunk contest--while a choir sang "I Believe I Can Fly" in the background. Griffin's thunderous dunks have earned comparisons to another power dunker of the past--1990s Seattle Supersonics forward Shawn Kemp.
Known as "The Reignman," Kemp starred in a few dunk contests of his own and posterized more than his fair share of NBA big men back in his day. But following his Sonic's loss to Michael Jordan's Chicago Bulls in the 1996 NBA Finals, and publicized paternity suits and a cocaine addiction, Kemp faded into obscurity.
That is, until now.
Kemp is calling out Griffin's dunk contest performance and claiming that he's still got it, Eddie Kane-style.
“I’m a big Blake Griffin fan, but that dunk at the contest might’ve been the weakest dunk in the dunk contest that I’ve seen in a long time,” Kemp said. “I love the choir and all that stuff was great, but you at least gotta jump over the car, though, right?”
“I’m 41 years old and right now I could do it. Two Smart Cars,” he said.
Kim Kardashian is tired of everyone thinking her badonk is scientically-enhanced.
The curvaceous beauty is denying reports that she has signed on to endorse a butt enhancement pill. During an upcoming appearance on the "The Rachael Ray Show" with her mom Kris Jenner, the reality star says she would never promote a product she finds unnecessary.
“I have said no to butt enhancement pills!” she said. “I’m like, I don’t think I need them and this is just crazy. I would never endorse a product like that!”
Okay, so no pills. But does that mean Kimmy K never had any type of booty surgery? The world wants to know.

Here is the first teaser for The Hangover Part 2 which is possibly one of the funniest movies we have seen in the past half a decade. Warner Bros. will unveil more trailers as we get close to the release date, May 26th! Stay Tuned!
Rapper Kanye West is being criticized by a British epilepsy awareness group that says West's "All of the Lights" video can be a health risk and may even cause seizures. Epilepsy Action sent the video to be analyzed by Cambridge Research Systems.
Their research found that the rate of the rapidly flashing lights in the clip could trigger seizures, prompting Epilepsy Action to publicly condemn the video. They used the "HardingFPA" machine in their analysis.
"This machine looks at whether video footage is likely to cause seizures," Epilepsy Action said in a statement. "We have today had confirmation that it contains material that may cause seizures in some people with photosensitive epilepsy." Representatives for Epilepsy Action say that the video has been removed from YouTube and will subsequently be banned from U.K. television."Ofcom regulations mean that this video should not be broadcast on UK television," Epilepsy Action warned. "However, it is available online in a number of places. We are in the process of trying to contact Kanye West’s agent, YouTube and other online sources of the video to ask that they take it down. We have also contacted MTV and other TV stations to make them aware of the issue."
The U.S. Marshals' Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force have arrested the final few members of the notorious Black Mafia Family crime organization. Two members were arrested last week in Atlanta's Buckhead neighborhood and two others were taken into custody earlier this month in Atlanta and Dayton, Ohio.
According to James Ergas of the U.S. Marshals Service, Ernest Dennis and Johnathon Manigault were seen in a hotel parking lot walking towards two reportedly stolen luxury vehicles, a 2010 Lexus and a 2010 Mercedes Benz. The cars were valued at $130,000. The duo also allegedly had fake IDs and credit cards under the phony names.
Dennis was on the Atlanta Police Department's 10 Most Wanted List and had an outstanding aggravated assault charge and is wanted in North and South Carolina for automobile theft. “He has a history of being tied to BMF and [he has] an extremely violent history,” Ergas said. Manigault was wanted for a Georgia auto theft charge and also for a probation violation in South Carolina.
On February 1st, Tovis Raines was arrested in Atlanta and information led marshals to Ricardo Webb in Ohio. This despite the fact that federal agents claimed that the last of the BMF was taken into custody as far back as 2009.
“There are still people out there with BMF but they don’t have the money [the group once had]," Ergas said. "They aren’t as dangerous. They aren’t as organized or have connections to the drugs.”
At one point, the infamous BMF had a controlling stake in virtually all of the cocaine and crack sold in Atlanta, Detroit, Los Angeles and various other major cities. Approximately 150 members have been convicted on drug or weapons charges since 2003.
Nothing exemplifies fame more than raging paranoia.
Nicki Minaj sounds like she is definitely heading to that 'they're all out to get me' level of fame. In a recent interview, the rapper distanced herself from her Twitter followers and also complained about being a 'robot' for the masses and the media to fawn over.
"All of those people who follow me on Twitter? They aren’t my friends," Minaj told Black Book. "Some of them are fans, but many of them are people who hate my guts and are just waiting for me to tweet something that they can put on their blogs. It’s easy to see two million followers and think, Look at all these people who love me! But not all of them love me. Whether I’m smiling or not, I know that people are always waiting for me to slip up."
“I’ve lost my peace of mind. I no longer know who’s my friend or my enemy. I don’t know if they’re calling me because they like me or because they want a photo op, and that’s not a good feeling. I’m always second-guessing everyone, trying to figure out, Who is this person, and what do they want from me? Most people don’t treat me like a human being. I’ve become an image, a persona, a robot: ‘Stand there, take a picture, and smile.’”
Yeah, Nicki fame is hard. You've also become a narcissist.
Comedian Eddie Griffin was asked about some of the sexiest women in hip hop circles these days and gave his opinion on three of the game's most voluptuous poster girls: Amber Rose, Nicki Minaj and Kim Kardashian. The funnyman was surprisingly positive towards Amber and Nicki.
As for Kim? Well, he took a few shots at Kimmy.
"Amber Rose, man, the girl's got it going on and I like what she's bringing to the public," Griffin told SOHH. "She's bringing something new. Nicki Minaj, man, that girl's got style, she's got flavor and man, it's like a female George Clinton. Man, she keeps it classy at the same time, that's what I like about her. She don't hooch herself out."
"Kim [Kardashian] is famous for f*cking somebody famous," Griffin continued. "So what are you talking about? [laughs] And did you see when Prince [recently] threw her a** off-stage at Madison Square Garden? That sh*t was funnier than a motherf*cker. That little n*gga said, 'B*tch, you ain't gonna dance? Bye!'"
Yung LA recently made headlines by getting a ridiculous face tattoo of a giant duck. The Atlanta rapper tried to explain what the tattoo means and...well--it just sounds kind of...dumb. LA says that he got the tat to represent his Duct Tape Entertainment imprint and to show solidarity with various crews in the ATL.
"That tattoo just comes from something in the city," he explained. "My cousins grew up with a lot of people from Zone 6, I know a lot of people from Zone 6, and the people from Zone 6, their whole movement is called Duct Tape and I just had been really getting up with these guys. Everybody in the city from Zone 6, Zone 3, Zone 1, from Duct Tape to YGC to CDB to 30 Deep, there's so many cliques in Atlanta and I just wanted to be the Robin Hood, I just wanted to be the guy that could have relationships with everybody in the city."
Robin Hood? What?
Good luck explaining that to your embarrassed grandkids in 30 years.
Despite rumors that he was served with paternity papers recently, it doesn't look like Kobe Bryant is ever going to be let off the leash by his domineering wife, Vanessa. Reports have surfaced that Vanessa even went so far as to ban female cocktail waitresses from his the VIP area of his All-Star party this past weekend in Los Angeles.
“Kobe had a lot of male friends with him, and I’m pretty sure they would not have minded fe male cocktail servers,” said one unnamed insider. Bryant stayed next to Vanessa all night and she even mixed his drinks at the table.
And you wonder why he has to kiss her every time he plays on national TV. 'Nessa ain't about to let another 'Colorado 2003' incident happen anytime soon.

Kevin Hart spices up the 2011 Ford Explorer with a few laughs in a new Ford ad campaign. The campaign is focused on reaching the urban market and includes TV, print, radio and digital segments. I sent Hart a few questions to find out how he feels about the Explorer, cars and driving. Turns out he’s a ‘66 Ford Mustang man, at heart, ala James Dean. Here’s what he has to say:
What is currently in your garage?
I currently have a Range Rover…SUPER CHARGED. I’m small so I have to compensate in other areas and I’m not scared to admit it.
When did you become interested in cars?
I have always liked cars ever since my older brother, Robert , gave me a 1980 Pontiac Trans-AM. I felt like Smoky and the Bandit.
Was there someone in your family who was particularly interested in cars?
Well my dad was a skilled handy man and he would work on peoples cars from time to time. He seems to get a kick out of telling people how screwed their cars were and how much work it was going to take to fix them.
How would you describe your driving style?
I like to call my driving style “AGGRESSIVE QUICKIE’. There short quick spells of aggressive driving. It is also can describe my style of sex also.
Do you have a history with Ford?
I have always been a fan of the Mustangs. I would always dream of having a 1966 Mustang convertible and driving it with a leather jacket on like James Dean.
What have you noticed about the Explorer that stands out to you?
Man, where do I start. I love the redesign, inside and out! It’s so stylish. Frankly, I feel like a super model when I drive it. The technology is incredible. From the mobile hot spot to the terrain management.
If Hart makes you laugh until it hurts, catch him live on the “Laugh At My Pain” tour. Check his website for dates and tickets. Follow him on Twitter for a daily dose of funny. He also makes his own t-shirts, also for sale on his site.

Rick Ross' Maybach Music Group has signed Atlanta rapper Pill, the third signing in just under a month. The rapper was already signed to Warner Brothers/Asylum Records, and when Maybach moved distribution from Def Jam to Warner, Pill moved over to Maybach.
Ross elaborated a bit on his imprint's deal with Warner.
"This deal with Warner Bros. Records has been a long time in the making and I'm confident we've found the best home for Maybach Music,” Rick Ross said in a statement. “Together we're going to make hit records for years to come.”
Ray J. is nothing if not classy.
Brandy's super-lame little brother pointed out recently that he is the man responsible for Kim Kardashian's career. True, Kimmy blew up after she bl--well, never mind. Let's just say she did become a star after the sex tape she made with the B-list R&B singer, but he didn't have to come out of his face about it.
But, then again, if he didn't--he wouldn't be Ray J.
"I don't hang with stars I create stars!" Ray J. told an interviewer for 'Sex, Cameras, and Hip-Hop.' "Kim was created. ['For the Love of Ray J' contestant] Cocktail was created and now I'm off to a new project. I wish them well, I hope they have major success in life and I hope they are successful."

The iPad 2 nears! An iPad 3 is on the horizon! iPhone 5 is coming! Maybe an iPhone nano! New MacBook Pros! New iMacs! Maybe even an Apple television! Of all the Apple rumors out there right now, there’s a odd lack of talk about something we know is coming — and soon: OS X Lion.
Back in October of last year, Apple gave an official sneak peek of Lion and stated that it would launch in “summer 2011″. The first official day of summer is exactly 4 months away. And yet, Apple has been largely silent about the new OS since that preview four months ago. We now have the Mac App Store which we know will be a key ingredient, and likely points to some other things about the OS as well. But there has been no official update out of Apple about Lion. So where does it stand?
Well, first of all, from what we’re hearing, Apple is now using it internally. That they’re testing it shouldn’t be surprising, but it’s apparently being widely used internally. Recent statistics seem to confirm this. Looking over the TechCrunch logs, it seems that OS X 10.7 (Lion) has been seeing a surge of usage in recent weeks. After peaking in late August/early September, stats fell off a bit. But now they’re soaring again, indicating that full-scale internal testing is underway.
And while we already know some of the new features thanks to Apple’s preview, there are still a few surprises, apparently. One of these is a much-anticipated UI overhaul. But that means that developers are going to need to be ready when it rolls out. And along those lines, we’re hearing that a developer beta should begin soon. There’s no firm timetable for this yet, but again, we’re only 4 months away from the summer. Apple has also been busy prepping the lastest version of OS X Snow Leopard, 10.6.7. And developers have been receiving builds of it for weeks now. But that development cycle will remain separate from the OS X 10.7 track. Meanwhile, new MacBook Pro updates are slated for this Thursday, and that may include hardware slightly modified to run the new OS X better. These are likely to be the last hardware updates before OS X Lion hits. Bigger trackpads for better multi-touch support? A dedicated SSD element for the OS? We’ll see. All we know for sure is that the sleeping Lion is stirring, and about to get a lot louder so it can roar this summer.
