Britney & Rihanna Too Hot For TV?

Britney & Rihanna Too Hot For TV?
Rihanna's racy performance with Britney Spears at last weekend's Billboard Music Awards didn't sit so well with the Parent's Television Council. On top of the bondage-themed outfits, there was a kiss between the two singers that was edited out of the performance, but nonetheless managed to ruffle the feathers of the watchdog group.
“What happened in Vegas should have stayed in Vegas, as the saying goes. It certainly has no place at 8:00 p.m. on the publicly-owned broadcast airwaves," Parent’s Television Council president Tim Winter said via statement.
“I cannot imagine what would possibly lead the ABC television network to air a profanity-laced, S&M sex show on primetime broadcast television," Winters added. "The overtly sexualized performance by Rihanna and Britney Spears was no accident or mishap, but a deliberate effort to target teens with images and lyrics that glamorize whips, chains and other sexual fantasies.”

Whatever. People have a right to do what they want. When they want. Its up to the parents to steer the kid in the right direction...instead of letting Rihanna and Britney be the influence why don't you step up to the plate

not like all the kids are. so for the ones who arent already corrupted, lets put em up to it on ABC

Parents already know what going on in the world with sex and profanity its up to the parents to control and teach their kids....don't punish everyone else just because they don't care for it. Its a performance and most people like an entertaining show!

if a family is sitting down watching what is supposed to be a FAMILY network, and all of a sudden whips and chains and half naked bitches come on screen, mom and dad shouldnt have to throw a blanket over the kids eyes and scramble to change the channel

Well they can all fuck off, because their argument backfired. I JUST watched it on youtube because they drew attention to it. You're the only people bitching about it, realize that. Just by closing your eyes doesn't mean it's gonna disappear. They're gonna find their sexuality very soon anyway, just let these performers do their job.

In all honesty did they really expect anything less??? It's Rihanna and Brittney! Had they not heard the lyrics to the song prior to? It's exactly what was to be expected. If it was going to be such a big deal they shouldn't have had that particular song scheduled for performance to begin with.

It's just fucking disgusting these kids are already mixed up wit dis same sex cramp! Don't make it contribut to it!

theres a reason why its generally kept on certain channels where people should expect racy scenes

Seriously, I just watched it. There was nothing on there that should make you want to "scramble to change the channel". They're leather-clad women dancing on a stage, it's not like they started scissoring on stage. If you don't like it, change the fucking channel and shut the fuck up. Your kids need counseling anyway if they're affected by Rihanna in any way, shape or form.

Get fuckin real... parents wanna blame everybody else abot their kids behavior except for themselves, i watched it i have three kids and honestly i could give two fucks about it, i raise my kids correctly so they no better and right from wrong they know that all it is is a PERFORMANCE get a clue get a life and find something else better to do then bitch and moan about BULLSHIT!!!!!!!!!!!!

Some people need to stop letting television raise their children. I let my children watch certain things on TV but I also explain what it is so they won't be confused by it. What's so different than watching those Disney shows? They don't want to put the image of sex in children's heads but you have 14 years on sitcoms with boyfriends. CRAZY!!!!!

You have the power to turn the channel? so if you didn't quit bitch'in and blame yourself!

Bottom line is...... Sex sells!!!! And with two artists that thrive on his concept you really can't expect anything else

What do you expect from two of the most untalented females in the industry?! If you can't sing, you have to do something to get attention, Lord knows "Rihanna The Goat," named that by a highly respected individual (who I won't name here) because she sounds like a goat when she's singing. Enough said about that. Bottom line, There are some things that don't need to be on prime time television...

Glad I missed the show....
