Taraji Henson Recording Artist?

While attending BET's "Black Girls Rock" Gala, actress Taraji P. Henson revealed that she has signed a record deal. The Hustle & Flow star did not disclose who she's currently signed with, but she says that she plans on taking her turn into music very seriously.

It doesn't sound like she plans to release the predictable tossed-off vanity project.

“I just signed a contract for a record deal," she revealed. "I did, but it has to be something special. I’m not interested in disposable music.[...]I believe people want to hear it, so you have to give the people what they want.”
