Jay-Z isn't trying to Occupy Wall Street, he's trying to Occupy All Streets. While backstage at his Watch The Throne concert, Jay rocked an "Occupy All Streets" t-shirt, as he snapped a few pictures with his good friend Russell Simmons. Jay-Z and Kanye West told us that somebody watch the throne, and the critics should have listened. While backstage at their Watch The Throne concert at Madison Square Garden in New York City, Jay-Z and Kanye were presented with platinum plaques for selling over a million records for Watch The Throne. Presented by Barry Weiss, Jay and 'Ye were all smiles as Russell Simmons, Fabolous, Trey Songz, Andre Harrell and Michael K Williams cheered them on in celebration. Jay-Z and Kanye released their collaborative album Watch The Throne in August 2011, and the album skyrocketed to number one in over 30 countries around the world. Jay-Z and Kanye are currently on a 26 city tour, where the two kings take on thousands of fans without the help of stage props, special guests, or a DJ. Just two hip-hop kings against the world. Catch Jay-Z and Kanye in a city near you! Take a look at Jay-Z and Kanye West backstage with their platinum plaques in the gallery above! |
