Producer/songwriter Christopher "Tricky" Stewart will be the newest head of A&R at the Epic label. The official announcement hasn't been made yet, but sources close to the label have indicated that the deal is expected to be finalized shortly.
In more label-shuffling news, ex-LaFace Records executive Mark Shimmel will also be positioned as a senior executive at Sony Music.
Stewart, a producer and longtime writing collaborator with The-Dream, has steered several major hits over the past few years, including Beyonce's "Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)" and Rihanna's "Umbrella."
