Jay-Z and Beyonce have released a joint statement 'officially' welcoming their baby daughter, Blue Ivy, to the world. Its the family's first public announcement regarding the happy birth, and reveals a few details about the birth and the couple's enthusiasm at their new arrival. Blue Ivy was born on January 7th, contrary to early reports that she was born on January 8th. "Hello Hello Baby Blue!" the statement reads. "We are happy to announce the arrival of our beautiful daughter, Blue Ivy Carter, born on Saturday, January 7, 2012. Her birth was emotional and extremely peaceful, we are in heaven. She was delivered naturally at a healthy 7 lbs and it was the best experience of both of our lives. We are thankful to everyone for all your prayers, well wishes, love and support. Beyoncé & JAY Z" |
