Hip hop mogul Jay-Z celebrated the reopening of his 40/40 Club in Manhattan last night (January 18), in what was the rapper's first public appearance since the birth of his daughter, Blue Ivy Carter, on January 7th. The popular sports bar unveiled its new renovations during a lavish, star-studded bash.
Ashanti, Russell Simmons, Irv Gotti, Wale, Spike Lee, Roots drummer ?uestlove and billionaire Warren Buffett were among the celebs on-hand for the reopening.
“We here at the reopening of the 40/40; we about to have a couple of drinks, a lot of beautiful women, New York City, the new joint – you already know.” Wale said. Ashanti also shared her excitement for the club's reopening. “Hov (Jay-Z) always has big parties, so I’m definitely looking forward to going inside and mingling and jingling,” she said.
