Don Cornelius' Death Officially A Suicide

Television icon Don Cornelius' death has been officially ruled a suicide. When the news initially broke of the "Soul Train" founder's death, it appeared to be self-inflicted, but it took a few days for authorities to confirm that speculation.

Cornelius died from a gunshot wound to the head. Investigators are still awaiting toxicology test results before issuing their final report. Foul play was ruled out, and Cornelius' son confirmed that he'd received a disturbing phone call from his father which led to him calling the police.

Cornelius was 75.
