Rapper J. Cole is being honored in his hometown of Fayetteville, North Carolina. The Roc Nation star, who broke through big in 2011, is being given a huge party and his own weekend--dubbed "Dreamville Weekend."
Thursday, March 1st will kick off the first annual "Dreamville Weekend" in Fayetteville. The event honors J. Cole and encourages the city's young people to follow a positive path. Cole will visit his alma mater Terry Sanford High School, and there will also be a celebrity dinner and the official announcement of J. Cole Day in Fayetteville.
A Cole performance will wrap things up March 3rd. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Cumberland Community Foundation.
