A verdict in the Jennifer Hudson family murder case could be known as soon as today (May 10th.) Jury deliberations began Wednesday, May 9th, with six men and six women on the panel charged with deciding whether or not to convict William Balfour of three counts of first-degree murder in the 2008 slayings of Hudson's mother, brother and nephew. The jury resumes deliberations at 9:30 am today.
Balfour faces life in prison if convicted.
Defense attorney Amy Thompson stated in her closing arguments that the prosecution "failed to prove their case," and told the jury, "they are trying to confuse you."
